Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

Sorry Wiggy, just realised it's not you with Ofsted. Still, tell DP that it's not stressful.

Wiggy29 · 10/05/2012 23:42

I've been through a few in my time so I've taken up all household duties etc while he burns midnight oil. He got two goods today with 2 v. Awkward classes so very proud of him. Have yet to tell him that ds (aged 7) told another child to eff off at school yesterday- am utterly horrified (needless to say we don't talk like that) but didn't want dp to have that on his mind too!

Flightty · 11/05/2012 07:36

Baba I've just come back online, DP was round last night so didn't get the chance. I am so, so sorry darling. We will wait for you right here till you feel ready to come back...and if by chance this isn't so bad as it sounds, then we're still right here xxxx

Good luck
Lots of love

Hi.
I hopped off the festive sleigh as I was pregnant with a December baby.
Unfortunately I miscarried so I'm hopping back on in the hope I might get a Valentines baby :)
Just need to wait until I get my first AF then I can start ttc again.

Squirrel77 · 11/05/2012 09:31

Hi all,

So sorry about your loss Baba.

The evil AF paid me a visit this morning so now hoping for a late February baby...Good luck to everyone else

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 10:00

hi dilly , sorry you had a MC . My MMC was discovered late Jan, seems so long ago now. It took a while for my body to get back to normal but I seem there now and hope your AF isn't too far off.

Squirrel sorry AF arrived for you :(

i'm 5DPO and trying not to symptom spot, a ridiculous thing to do when its too early for implantation to have occurred. Just need to get through next week without obsessing too much. Might try visualising my womb as a warm cosy place to hang around in before i go out today, then remember to do it again every day for next few days.

LimeLeafLizard · 11/05/2012 10:02

Blimey, I didn't manage to log on yesterday (crazily busy in RL) and I have missed so much.

Firstly, Baba, I am so sorry to hear about your bleeding. Hope you are getting lots of love and support in RL and that you have been to see your GP and get an early scan to show what is going on. Do come back on the sleigh when you feel able. Huge HUG to you XXX

Dilly In the best possible way, I am so sorry to see you back on the Sleigh, and so sorry to hear about your MC. You are always welcome and we can re-upholster your comfy cushion with Valentines' hearts. I hope the support and friendly chat here will help you know you're not alone.

Squirrel, sorry to hear AF got you. February has to be our month, right?

Wiggy I'm sure if good wishes and prayers could impregnate you everyone on this thread would already be expecting triplets - I couldn't agree more, what a lovely sentiment (although I am not sure how I'd cope with triplets!).

Great that you have another couple of months before you have to go back to the docs.
My eldest is also 7 and he has recently learnt a couple of swear words at school. Luckily he knows better than to use them at home. When a child in his class kept swearing at him, the Head had a talk to all the kids in his class, which seems to have done the trick for now. I guess it is a stage they reach.

LOL @ the Head of Ofsted saying that teaching isn't stressful!! Unbelievable, and I'm not even a teacher! I wonder if working for Ofsted is stressful? Hmm

Good luck for POAS, Flying, we need our luck to change back to good on this thread. And hope all goes well for you too, Empire.

Hi Limey, well done for updating the stats. Smile

Dilly I am really, really sorry to hear this news - I had wondered how our first BFPer was getting on and hoping you might come back, now that we had all decided to stay around - but not for that reason. I'm so sorry.

It makes me feel very, very fortunate indeed, to be Ok so far, when I read of all the losses people have experienced. Probably each of us takes it a little bit for granted to be, and remain, pregnant, until something like this happens to us. And then your perspective is changed, isn't it?

Biggest hugs to all of you xxxx

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 10:47

Oh Dilly I'm so sorry to hear that. I recently name changed from MummyNickleby.

Sending you a mahoosive hug xxx

AF still not arrived, have an achy lower back, uncomfortable in pubis region (sort of where my cs scar is). Feel pretty nauseous: only ate fruit and a croissant for brekkie - couldn't face another fat-boy breakfast (without any meat Smile)

Think nerves are getting to me. I keep checking my dates to make sure I haven't miscalculated AF date and, no matter what I come up with, it was def due this week and is def late.

I just want to know now.

Was tempted to tell line manager of my suspicions (he's a really lovely man) as I'm lugging a suitcase, file, bag of shite (water, calculator etc) and my handbag. I have to carry it all up some stairs to get out of this place and I kinda feel I shouldn't really (not playing the "wimpy female card" but my suitcase is very heavy Blush)

Never mind, it'll be ok soon. DH is utterly convinced we are pregnant but I'm still in denial Smile

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 10:53

you're right there flighty. a MC takes away the lovely innocence you have. I had my first (of 2 MC) in my early 20s- it was a planned for pregnancy and to MC suddenly at home at 12 weeks was devastating. Plus at that time (20 years ago) there were no early scans , at least not readily available so i have no way of knowing what went on, what stage the embryo got to , i suspect it was another MMC or a blighted ovum. On the plus side when i got pregnant again a few months later- resulting my lovely DD, i didn't have the dilemma of paying for private scans as they weren't really around, so whilst i worried i didnt seem to stress as much as people now seem to. Obviously the older you are the worse it is as there is a feeling of time running out .

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 10:55

flying it does sound very promising, sending you lots of positive vibes and hope you can test tomorrow!!

Treats · 11/05/2012 10:57

baba Sad and Dilly Sad. I'm so very sorry to hear what has happened. Look after yourselves - have a very self indulgent weekend and don't try to pretend that everything's OK if it's not.

And Squirrel - sorry that she got you too......

I'm officially 3DPO today according to FF. Temp this morning a respectable 97.3 and no EWCM, so I'm officially on the 2ww with a post-ov blood test booked for next week. I ov'd on Day 18 this month, which is much more respectable than last month's Day 23, so I'm feeling quite positive.

blackcats - we're going to be POAS buddies this month too! We were going to be last month, but AF caught me out six days early......

Hang in there empire and I hope wiggy's DH gets through the rest of the inspection intact.......

Flightty - glad everything's going well. Good to have your here still.

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 11:01

i think i had an NHS scan at 16 weeks and another much later on to check the placenta as they had seen it lying low and i was having a home birth- which i wouldnt have been able to with that condition. All was well. Scans 20 years ago were awful though, you could hardly see a thing and my London hospital didn't have the facility to even give you a print out. We took a polaroid of the screen! I guess private scans were around but probably off our radar as they would have been extremely expensive.

Dillydollydaydream · 11/05/2012 11:05

Thanks for the warm welcomes.
Just unpicking the Christmas Appliqué on my cushion to make a Snazzy valentines one.

I started bleeding on 18th April and scan on 20th showed everything had gone :(
Im not sure when to expect AF, was told 4-6 weeks?
I'm on holiday in 2 weeks so I was hoping to get it out of the way before then.

Nice to see some bfps on this thread, hope all goes well and there's more up for grabs :)

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 11:31

dilly it can massively vary so i wouldn't generalise about it. For me personally I had endless spotting then a different bleed at 3 weeks that i took to be my period, then more spotting, seemed endless. I didnt ovulate that month but have done each month since. Cycles more regular now but still some variation.

treats ok, nice to have POAS buddy. Lets see if i can hold off until 12 DPO- yikes thats a week to go! seems fast this cycle

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 11:32

i must preview my messages!!

Dillydollydaydream · 11/05/2012 12:10

Ah poo. So I might not make a valentines baby after all? Maybe Easter then :)

LimeLeafLizard · 11/05/2012 12:57

Dilly sounds like sewing some daffodils or tulips on your cushion could work - that will cover a few months anyway Smile.

AF is still visiting here, but she is not too fierce this month.

We are away for the weekend but I will try and get to check up on the thread, especially as it seems to be moving so fast at the moment.

Hi everyone - gosh it's been chatty around here.

Dilly Sad I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you're feeling okay, you sound quite positive. I had a MMC when TTC for DS in 2008. My cycles were a little strange at first with spotting, etc. But that first month post mc, I did ov and the cycle was only slightly longer than normal. So fx for you!

Lime sorry about AF, but glad it's not too uncomfortable. I had a fairly mild one this month too, thought maybe because I was with family and pretty busy so not thinking about it too much. Last night we were watching that "Do We Need the Moon" documentary and I remembered having read something about how the phases of the moon affect our fertility. Now I'm slightly obsessed with ovulating at the full moon for optimum conception Hmm As if I need another factor beyond my control...! Wink

flying I'm dying in anticipation here! POAS! POAS! Grin

Got back to London yesterday morning. In slight jet lag hell, but it's not too bad. DS just doesn't need to sleep apparently Hmm. Unfortunately DH didn't get the job that he had the real interview for, but he has a few other irons in the fire, so hoping something will pan out. Probably for the best RE: timing anyway. If he had gotten to the job, we would have to be moving within about 6 weeks, eek!

Hi Treats, Empire blackcats and any other lurkers.

Baba thinking of you

EmpireBiscuit · 11/05/2012 13:56

Hiday hi y'all.

TFI Friday.

I've just eaten a HUGE pizza and now want to put my head of the desk and snoooooooze.

EmpireBiscuit · 11/05/2012 13:57

...on the desk....

For friggs sake.

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 14:21

On the train home Grin

Takes about 2.5 hrs Sad

I text DH and asked him to buy digital test (the one I've got is a cheapo line one - I'm paranoid about them, I need it in writing Blush)

He said he'd get one so I hope he has. Should know some time this evening. Smile
Feel a bit bloated and uncomfortable, also have a really itchy nose - is that a symptom? Wink

Dillydollydaydream · 11/05/2012 15:36

Ooh a live poas :)
Good luck, hope it's positive. Bet the train journey will take that bit longer now.
