Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

SpringFlowers · 08/05/2012 17:11

Gosh, loads of messages. Will post properly later. Hope you're ok Lime. I hate bfn's. My temp is below the coverline today (36.4 ish) - you lot are all hotties with your temps Grin! My highest is never as high as 37. Af must be soon, it's not possible to be pregnant with my temp like this is it? No more spotting but loads of creamy mucas which has had me racing to the loo all day. Tender boobs too. I just want to move on to next month now.

EmpireBiscuit · 08/05/2012 18:00

Ignore me, just being a big mope-ie mope. DH working away so no one near to help me through my hopeless feelings, I'll phone mum soon. Mums always know what to say.

PMA.

I am due on Sunday so a while to wait. I stupidly tested this morning and BFN. I know, I know - I just pee'd on a fiver.

SilentMammoth · 08/05/2012 19:17

I'm really sorry Lime

Flyingwithoutwings · 08/05/2012 19:22

blackcats I'm glad you've had some positive news from the test results, I'm sorry that I don't know what the tests are but I'm sending you a

Just an update... I'm hiding from AF in my hotel room, about to venture out to the restaurant... I haven't told her the hotel or room number so I'm hoping she's lost in Bristol City Centre and is totally the wrong place!! Wink

Flyingwithoutwings · 08/05/2012 19:25

Lime sending you bigs hugs... At least AF isn't here, still provides hope...

Biscuit look after yourself and I agree that you should get help if you are feeling down .

Waves to all Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 21:41

Thanks for the sympathy, all. Still waiting for her to show... like you said, Spring, there comes a point when you just want to get on with the next cycle.

Keep hiding, Flying, may her taxi drive round and round the ring road without tracking you down. Hope you enjoy your dinner tonight and a swim tomorrow!

Empire hope your Mum gives you some comforting words - wish I had a Mum I could go to when I felt sad (it is tricky between us). And ignore your wasted test, you can use one properly on Sunday.

blackcats I have now re-read your post but I will need to go away and google a few things before I am able to make any kind of meaningful reply! Blush Glad things look ok for you, anyhow. I know lots of women who've had babies in their forties - recently one of my best friend's sister had her first at 46, her dh is 56.

Pipbin · 08/05/2012 21:44

Well more EWCM today. I normally get about 5 days of it before OV. This is a week before expected. However got a negative OPK today, after the nearly positive a couple of days ago.
But the DTDing has been scuppered as DH has cystitis. Yes, really!
I get it all the time and when he described the symptoms to me I said that I thought that's what it was.
I've told him he has to go to the doctors tomorrow and I've forced him to drink two pints of water.

Wiggy29 · 08/05/2012 22:35

Oh no pipbin, didn't even realise men could get it!

Lime- sorry to hear about af, I'm due Saturday& worried all my waves of sickness this month have let me get my hopes up too high.gradually trying to talk myself down& remind myself it's early days do I'm not too down.I'll be due next smear soon& would love it if I could fall before then.

Flying- sounds good! I have fx for you! Hide under bed if required&lather yourself in free hotel smellies so she doesn't pick up your scent!

Empire- still possibly too early for you to know? I'm still holding out hope for you. My mum is fab but bless them, they keep putting pressure on without meaning to which makes me more stressed about ttc.

To all- really interesting idea of oh saying not to obsess, why is there not a dadsnet with loads of blokes chatting about their swimmers? Asked my dp this& he reckons men just internalise things more& stress privately (hence higher numbers of male sucicides). I said I would feel it was my fault if we don't fall as medical issues are die to me yet he still said most men feel it is mainly a reflection anthem/ their masculinity. Interesting points.

Excuse typos in advance as on phone.

Crazytictac · 08/05/2012 23:12

Oh limeleaf sorry about the BFN and you too empire. I know it's always said but there is always a annoying glimmer of hope until the lady in red shows up.

Bit late now so will try and post again tomorrow. Night all.

SpringFlowers · 09/05/2012 05:43

Just a really quick post - temp almost as high as it's ever been this morning. I'm really surprised as I thought it was just on the way down.

Hope you're swimming as I type Flying!

SilentMammoth · 09/05/2012 07:21

Oooh spring and flying, all sounding good! When are you ladies due to poas?

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/05/2012 07:32

Morning... Didn't go swimming this morning: I chose sleep Blush

Will swim this evening if AF doesn't find me today.

AF was due on Monday so I should have poas but it's much more fun trying to dodge her Wink

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 08:29

Hi all,
limeleaf didnt realise you were 14DPO, sorry about your BNF, really hope next month is your lucky one . and thanks for story of your friend , love those tales of hope.
empire you're still in with a chance aren't you? and flying is having fun dodging AF!!

temp still up so FF has me down as ovulating on CD11, i'm now officially on 2WW, seems so quickly round this month- much better than long cycles :)

My DP doesn't want to get disappointed again so he prefers to keep things to himself. I never temp in front of him or talk about my POASing as it just reminds him /makes him think i'm obsessed. Its good somewhere like here exists to share with others. Men really are quite vulnerable, as wiggy's DP said they keep things to themselves and that's not always the best policy in order to be mentally healthy.

Learnt how to convert pmol to pg in order to make sense of my oestradiol result. (divide by 3.676). Annoying that medical 'thingies' around the world are often in different units- same problem with vitamins. There is so much to read about from the USA re vitamins and fertility and to make sense of some of it you need to compare like with like.

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 08:35

that conversion only works for oestradiol, apparently chemistry boffins should know the molecular weight of substances when they do conversions. Chemistry was my most hated subject at school.

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/05/2012 09:04

Ooo, chemistry was my 3rd fave subject (behind Maths and Physics). But not knowing what these things are makes me pretty useless.

See you later ladies xxx

Squirrel77 · 09/05/2012 09:22

Sorry to hear about the BFNs. I'm also going through fertility testing (I have endo and they think also PCOS or a thyroid problem) - had the day 3 and 21 bloods done and apparently have low estrogen and a thin womb lining (eeek) - taking Dong Quai and Red Clover in an attempt to boost it and also low dose aspirin which is meant to build up the lining! Hope that info may be of use. It's all a bit of a mystery to me. I am currently waiting for another appointment with the specialist - still another few weeks away which is frustrating.

In other news, I'm too scared to POAS!!! Suddenly freaking out in case it is positive, I don't know why. I feel really anxious. Feel free to stalk my chart - looks pretty good so far...

SpringFlowers · 09/05/2012 10:05

I had a cb digit test at home and because of the temp rise I thought I'd just do a test. I know it was stupid on day 26 but it's a BFP!!! I cannot believe it, I'm a mess and can't stop crying.

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 10:35

springflowers congratulations, and you thought it was all over ! Great news .

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 10:39

squirrel hope the measures you are taking help . I've read that acupuncture can be useful in building up womb lining and regulating menstrual problems.
I'm not sure how to interpret you chart so cant comment but why not POAS if its time ?

Flyingwithoutwings · 09/05/2012 10:52

Congratulations Springflowers that is wonderful news. I bet you're in shock now!!! Grin

SilentMammoth · 09/05/2012 11:00

Oh spring I am asp happy for you!!!.what a lucky thread! Flying how are you doing?

Treats · 09/05/2012 11:13

SpringFlowers - that's great news! Well done.

Lol at Flying - are you still hiding from AF? Hope she doesn't track you down.

Limeleaf - has she found you yet? Still got fx for you although I know it's late to be having a BFN.

Squirrel - good luck with the supplements - I'll be interested to hear how you get on.

Well, my temp has "shot up" this morning - sort of. It's back up to 97 (36.1) which would normally be a low temp pre-ov, but it's actually 7 points higher than yesterday, so would probably count as a post-ov rise. My EWCM has dried up so I think I must have ov'd yesterday. CD18 - an improvement on last month's Day 23. I'm just going to confirm with another couple of days' temps and then make a blood test appt for next Tuesday, if I can.

I'm concerned that my temps are just too low though - although Spring has given me some hope Wink. But next week's test should give me a few more clues.

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 11:39

flying your 3 favourite subjects were my 3 worst! I hated secondary school. Subjects i did like were English, followed by english lit, i loved cookery (domestic science as it was known), another academic subject i quite liked was geography- which was loathed by most pupils.

blackcatsdancing · 09/05/2012 11:42

treats have you been tested for thyroid problems? can cause low temps.

Squirrel77 · 09/05/2012 11:48

Woohoo congratulations springflowers!

I think I will POAS tomorrow - anyone else? (it's hard to keep track of where everyone's at!)
