Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

Hi Treats. Glad your weekend went well. It must be lovely seeing the top you knitted being worn. What a wonderful gift to give, I'm sure it will be treasured.
As for next steps for me, I'm not sure. I guess the doctor will write the referral and we'll wait to hear from there.

Things here seem to be happening very early here. I've got EWCM and it's only CD 11. I normally don't OV until CD 18 -20!

Spring I'm glad it's not just me counting the weeks until half term.

Flyingwithoutwings · 07/05/2012 22:50

Treats I am so pleased your gift was well received and that you got lots of cuddles. I expect you and your friend feel so much better now.

P.S.

LimeLeafLizard · 07/05/2012 22:55

Would be great if you have a shorter cycle Pipbin (as long as the lp is long enough!) as there will be less waiting. Do you and Spring both work in schools then?

I have wondered about how people cope with twins since the bleeding early in my last pg made the scan technicians question whether I had lost a twin.

baba, did you say you were feeling dizzy as a pg symptom? I have been very dizzy at times today.

Spring that is interesting that you also had a very different temp too.

I have noticed that in the evening my temps are a up to a degree or so higher than in the morning. So a typical pre ov morning is 97.3, and evening 97.8, and typical post ov morning about 98.0 and evening 98.6 (but several higher than that this cycle, which has led me to be more hopeful. It was 99.0 this evening).

Ha ha flying I reckon you must be running to the loo to check for her arrival as often as I am this evening! FX both Aunties stay well away tonight.

Flyingwithoutwings · 07/05/2012 23:05

I don't even have period pain Smile

That's very rare as I have endometriosis so I'm normally very crampy about now...

Have packed towels and pain relief for my trip away... And packed my swimming costume Wink

Bet she comes on Wed Sad

Off to check again Wink

Wiggy29 · 07/05/2012 23:42

Ohhh, flying&lime, i'll give the reindeer a giant bag of hay (was supposed to be for our rabbit but nevermind) if you too fall!this would be a lucky thread.glad to hear folks are a bit more positive.off to sleep now, hoping you all stay af free tomorrow.ngt.x

Squirrel77 · 08/05/2012 08:02

Hi everyone

Wow, so much has happened on this thread!

I've been offline for four days - on holiday with the inlaws. The joys of two very long car journeys, father in law unfamiliar with UK roads AND how to use a satnav AND the slowest driver on earth, mother in law shouting driving (terrible) tips and directions from the backseat! Aaargh!

Still haven't POAS as the inlaws are asleep in our bed and I'm about to rush off to work - not an ideal time. Will probably do it tomorrow...anyone else?

Any more BFPs this morning??

Flyingwithoutwings · 08/05/2012 08:46
blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 09:19

flightty thanks for that. I will try testing in the evening also, never done that before.

crazytictic your comment about the egg vaporising made me laugh, its how i felt yesterday too!

silentmammoth thanks for your story, has made me more hopeful and i've stopped trying to calculate the velocity of the sperm in comparison with the deterioration of the egg, minus the viscosity of my Cm (or some such nonsense)

pipbin so many of us having early ov this month!! Funny you had the urge to do an OPK too, I'm such a believer in the mind body connection.

treats sounds like your weekend was full of emotion but perhaps in a slightly healing way. Its lovely that you were able to talk to your friend and enjoy cuddling the baby and hear that baby and mum love the little jacket you made .
Now i hope that your evening proves fruitful.
I've been taking 50mg of vitamin B6 for probably less than 2 weeks and noticed a very quick increase in CM. This month i also got EWCM, which i haven't noticed for a very, very long time . The other thing i've noticed is a bit less tiredness, i cant say its a miraculous change but its definitely an improvement which is wonderful. Many women swear it helps with luteal phase defect ( i dont have that) and it is supposed to help regulate hormones. I've ovulated far earlier than usual this month, this may be a coincidence though.
I have no other explanation for the increase in CM as nothing else has changed. Also i'd be v. surprised if i was deficient in B6 before i started the supplements as i eat pretty healthily including plenty of the foods that B6 is found in. I had to get that dose from Holland and Barrett, Boots didn't stock. They weren't expensive .

flyingwithoutwings hope AF stays far away (for at least 9 months!)

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 10:01

It is day 14 po in the Lizard house and there is no sign of AF yet.
However my temp is still as low as it was yesterday, so I am not feeling very optimistic. I haven't POAS yet. Whilst AF stays away there is still a glimmer of hope, but if I get a bfn I will have to accept it. Also, as she was two days late last month (giving me a 15 day lp, which seems very long) I am aware the same thing could happen this month, which would mean she arrives Thursday. Apart from feeling a bit dizzy yesterday and a bit bloated, I have NO symptoms of any sort.

Good luck to Squirrel and flying if you are testing soon too.

Treats · 08/05/2012 10:02

Lowest. Temperature. Ever. this morning. Was really shocked when I read the thermometer - 96.3F (35.7C) - it's practically hypothermic........

I guess ov must be on the way soon (pre-ov dip?) but I'm still a bit Shock and Hmm about it.

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 10:06

Wow, that is low... don't think I've ever had below 96.8 (can't check without my lovely data though ).

I often find my lowest temps of the cycle are the day or two leading up to Ov, making a very clear jump to post ov. Hope you managed to DTD last night!

Treats · 08/05/2012 11:12

We did Wink. Even though poor DH was feeling really under the weather.....

Flyingwithoutwings · 08/05/2012 11:24

Lol, that's what we like to hear treats no excuses!!!
Good luck to all Smile
I'm not going to poas until my return. At the moment the daft old bat might just be able to find me...
Nearly in Bristol now, just hope she's not on the next train.
But I officially 1 day late now Grin

lastboxoftampons · 08/05/2012 13:55

Hello Smile

Flying - love the idea of hiding out from AF in Bristol! Grin

Treats - so glad you weekend turned out to be therapeutic. Wow, that is a low temp. I've gotten 96.45 before. Important thing is you're still alive Wink

Good luck Lime, hope she stays away!

blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 15:21

i saw my GP today who went over my day 2 test results, they are all well within the lab's normal range , which i cross referenced with GP notebook's reference range and again all ok. My FSH was a little higher than i'd hoped but 9.2 for a 44 year old isn't bad- according to 2 references that means '8-10 Fair. response is between completely normal and somewhat reduced (response varies widely). overall a somewhat reduced live birth rate'.
Oestradiol level was 219.0 pmol/L
prolactin 126.0 mu/L
LH 4.6 iu/L

i'm going to leave it there now with tests. Two GPs have both said these tests reveal little unless there is something majorly wrong. The levels can vary from month to month so almost pointless, next month i may get a much higher or much lower FSH, same with oestradiol. We discussed the progesterone test i was due to have next week but as GP said (and she wasn't at all trying to stop me having it), all it will say is did i ovulate that month or not. I'm not going to bother with that test now, temping shows a clear biphasic pattern and i get an LH surge so i'm certain i do ovulate. Obviously she isn't a fertility expert but i'm not going to be having fertility treatment anyway so may as well leave it at that. Also i was pregnant fairly recently so i never expected my results would be dreadful.

zita west talks of natural things to do to reduce FSH but i already follow most . Acupuncture is also said to help. She also recomends Vit B6 which i've started recently. Overall i'm ok with this . It is a bit disappointing to get an FSH of close to 10 as in some places 10-12 is considered Lower ovarian reserve but in other places it isn't. I've also found several threads on MN where women with high FSH levels have been told to forget having IVF treatment as there is no chance of them getting pregnant- only to fall preggers soon after. These tests were initially done so if i went back for acupuncture treatment i could give them the info they wanted.

blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 15:25

i should make it clear they then fell pregnant naturally, after being told to forget ever having a child.

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 16:22

I cracked. BFN Sad. Still no sign of AF though.

blackcats will read your post again properly when I am a bit more focussed, but glad results overall were OK.

OP posts:
EmpireBiscuit · 08/05/2012 16:41

Sorry to hear lime :(

BCD I didn't really understand most of your post but from what I gather it's positive? Fingers crossed for you.

I am feeling really down about the whole thing now, stupid really but I figured we would be one of the lucky ones who fell really quickly. It doesn't look like that is going to be the case. I have previous of depression, so DH has asked me to try and stop being so obsessive. It's hard.

blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 16:46

oh so sorry limeleaf, might still be too early though. I only got a positive on 13DPO.
don't worry anyone about replying to my post. I came on here to get away from all the emphasis on facts and figures and tests and sadness on the TTC after MC and post 40s threads- useful though it can be to have others around who have been through similar or are facing same issues I'd rather just TTC and see what happens. I'm not silly, at 44 my chances of carrying a healthy baby to full term (using my own eggs) are slim , not impossible but not great either. My test results were fine and it was more about getting it down, writing can be quite therapeutic.

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 16:48

Oh Empire, i do understand the feeling down. I had forgotten what it is like TTC. I can't remember your stats, sorry, maybe you can re-post? If you think you might be depressed, or even heading in that direction, get some help soon. I know what you mean about trying to stop obsessing. Easier said than done, though. [hug]

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 16:50

empire exactly, that's what i used to think when i read people's FSH levels and prolactin figures , what are they on about?? I just want to get tips on here for pinpointing ov approaching so DP and I are in with a decent chance every month and also to have a bit of mutual support when the BFN comes in or a BFP is to be celebrated! The test results mean little, things are fine and i'm far from menopausal- and that alone is something to celebrate!

LimeLeafLizard · 08/05/2012 16:52

blackcats you are lovely! [over-emotional today] Feeling like we're letting you down today with being sad... scroll up a bit to cheer you up with Flightty's banter and her and baba's bfps.

I am 14 dpo so not likely to be too early.

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 16:56

also empire TTC does get consuming, my DP accused me of being obsessive- i didn't think i was at all. I too have history of depression , have suffered for numerous years on and off. Try to take of yourself, i've read a few articles recently about unscrupulous IVF clinics who get couples to use try procedures far too early, the articles have emphasised that TTC can and often does take time. After my MC in my early 20s it took me several months to get pregnant again- this time successfully. Don't get too disheartened.

blackcatsdancing · 08/05/2012 16:59

gosh so many typos!
