Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Ah, it just gets better! HWHNN has just called to say that his flight has been postponed till tomorrow!

Northey · 13/05/2012 08:05

Oh for fuck's sake, cavey, how unbelievably frustrating! Just grrrrrr. What a waste of time and Clomid. I would be kicking cats. And poor HWHNN and his delayed flight. Will he get to come back to you for the extra 24 hrs, or will they make him twiddle his thumbs in an aircraft hangar?

CaveMum · 13/05/2012 08:25

It's too far for him to come back, but thankfully his flight leaves from the base he works at so he said he's going to go to the Mess and watch the Grand Prix.

I've left a message on the clinic answer phone, which says the machine is checked at 8.30am on Saturday and Sunday, so I might [ironic laugh] get a call back today.

CaveMum · 13/05/2012 08:55

Nurse just called back. She's got to talk to a Dr to see if it's safe for me to take another bunch of tablets so soon after finishing the last lot, last week.
When I said "the blood test was obviously wrong" she ignored me Hmm

She said the fastest she can get any pills to me is Tuesday, so she suggested I call my GP in the morning to see if they'll do me a same day prescription.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2012 10:30

Oh cavey :( that's utterly rubbish! Angry for you.
Quiet day in the faith house, I am full of this stupid cold, hoping the worst is over today before I go back to the w place tomorrow! MSB is off on a bike ride making the most of the nice weather.

Northey · 13/05/2012 11:02

How rude of her to ignore you, cavey. I hope it was because she was too embarrassed to speak.

AMNH and I are meant to be going for a nice walk today, but he is already farting about on his phone and totally failing to realise that unless he sorts out xyz now, we won't set off till this afternoon, and then it will have turned dark and cold, thereby missing the point of the plan to go out for a walk in the sun. He really irritates me sometimes, I must say.

eurochick · 13/05/2012 12:22

Cavey that is just shit. Medical professionals often don't understand how well we know our bodies.

I was right about the nurse trying to convince me to come in Monday instead of today on the phone. When we arrived she looked rather worse for wear and said she had been out until one in the morning. Luckily, she had the least technical job to do - the consultant and the guy who prepares the white goods looked rather more alert!

KFZK's sample wasn't great again - only 16m total count, 6.something million post-wash. The motility and morphology are good, there just aren't that many of them. Still, they have been chauffeur driven to their destination, so hopefully that will help.

Now I just have to ov today/tomorrow.

I'm bloody starving now, after having breakfast at 6.30am to get to the clinic for 8.30!

Owwwwww!

Sorry, just had to share that.

Euro, sending egg laying vibes your way Grin

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2012 12:52

Yes I felt like that in hospital: doctor: what cd are you? Me: 14. Doc: well it could be ovulation pain. Me, thinking: well it started cd2.... I'm glad you got in ok euro though boo to his swim coming being low-ish. Let's hope bring transported directly helps!

eurochick · 13/05/2012 13:36

He's now having a post spaff snooze. Poor chap. It was obviously too much for him.

(Of course I was the one who drove for 2 hrs across London and had something shoved up my cervix...)

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 13/05/2012 17:16

Sorry cave. The reliance on blood tests is infuriating isn't it? It seems the ones that fit are used as 'proof' and any that don't are disregarded. Rubbish. I may, ahem, have some clomid going spare. Would I be v bad to offer to post it to you..

Euro, is it not a bit good that kfzk's count was abit down? It might be an easily fixable problem, what with them being dropped on target, as it were... Is this news or have previous samples shown that?

eurochick · 13/05/2012 17:41

Sinking his 3 tests have been around the low end of normal. His last iui white goods were below normal for volume and count. This was slightly higher but still below normal for those factors. So they seem to be getting worse... I am trying to get him to go to a urologist to rule out prostate issues, etc (not for fertility because he has enough swimmers for iui/ivf which is where we are now, but for health). But you know men and doctors so I might be working on that for a while!

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 13/05/2012 18:33

Yup. GHJs biggest issue with ivf is he'll probably have to give another sample in. My sympathetic noises were a little halfhearted.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2012 18:43

euro have they ever checked his prolactin levels?

CaveMum · 13/05/2012 19:40

Sinky, that's very kind of you but I should be able to get my GP to prescribe some tomorrow. Naturally, the nurse has not got back to me as to whether or not I'm safe to take them or not Hmm

Again, I think "normal" results for sperm/eggs/hormones should be treated with a degree of caution. HWHNN' results showed a slightly below average total number, but higher than average motility, etc. Quality over quantity I guess!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2012 20:54

Hmm MSB's colleague's missus has booted him out found photos of his ex on his phone Hmm not good and he was literally going to sleep rough, in his car I suspect so we've taken him in for the night. I do not condone his behaviour but I'm not so cruel to stop him having a roof over his head. I am a bit Angry that MSB declined two lures to bed earlier now this chap will be kipping on living room under our room tonight! Stealth sechs ahoy assuming he doesn't drink much more in the pub consoling him! I am making the most of the time to myself by watching New Moon.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 13/05/2012 21:22

Quick wave from Rulvakia, where I have been holidaying - did I miss anything exciting? BFPs? Gossip and slander?

Faith that is a dodgy story, indeed. He has no rights to a quiet room, so sechs away... It is very kind of you to take him in!!

Northey · 13/05/2012 21:42

Well hello msdrizzle! Nothing much of excitement, apart from cavey's incompetent doctors who insisted she was ovulating when she wasn't, and nearly muffed up her Clomid cycle.

I have followed the nurse's instruction for the day and sechsed perfunctorily but adequately . Just have to do tomorrow as well, then rescan on Tuesday.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 13/05/2012 21:45

dor had a scary time but has now seen bean....how are you feeling dor?
Not a lots been happening really drizzlepops. I got my first smiley opk....I think it has added pressure to the sechsing. In future assuming no bfp this cycle! I won't tell him when I get it.
Good news all round, borrowed futon mattress now on top floor of rented house rather than underneath us :) so less chance of being heard and after me texting MSB not to be late he has returned with beers for his friend rather than going to the pub. I think MSB is conscious of not putting a foot wrong because it's such a sensitive situation. Think he realises how lost he'd be without me too! Grin no harm in that!
So tell us all about your holibobs drizzy!

ShredniVashtar · 13/05/2012 21:51

Hello lemony! Hope you had a nice time. I miraculously escaped a hangover after Friday night's vino drinking. To be honest after 18 months of cutting right back I'm now such a lightweight that I come over all wobbly after two glasses! Day 5 here so gearing up for sechs in earnest. Earnest sechs, eh? The glamour of ttc. I've been all over the place emotionally this last week - snapping one minute, dissolving into tears the next. Hopefully now that the weathers improving and the droid has finally got knotted my mood will lift a bit too.

FriendofDorothy · 13/05/2012 21:53

I am alright. No more bleeding since Wednesday but feeling weird stretching pains which I am paranoid about. I think they are normal but I am generally panicked all the time!

eurochick · 13/05/2012 23:06

Faith no, he hasn't had any blood tests apart from HIV and Hepatitis at the IVF clinic. Because his tests were just about within normal levels he wasn't referred for any further tests. I'll try to suggest it though - thanks.

Dor I can understand that the worrying never stops but that all sounds normal to me!

Lemony I hope you had a nice break.

Efficiency is always a good thing, Norfy.

Bonjourno schlags! Very quiet hear today....
I survived my first morning back at work. Only had 120 emails! Thought it would be more Hmm but had some nice welcome backs from people which cheered me!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/05/2012 14:28

Oh and dor I'm really pleased the bleeding stopped. I'm sure the stretching is normal and just the bean settling in!

CaveMum · 14/05/2012 14:48

Finally spoke to a nurse. I'm not to take any more Clomid this cycle as it is only a week since I last took the pills.

I'm to "see how it goes naturally" but still go for blood tests.

I've been having a bit of a lifestyle assessment and have been out and bought a Low GI diet book as that is supposed to help with PCOS. I don't need to lose weight, but if following a plan can help to balance my hormones out I may as well give it a try.
