Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Same here cave. Only iPhone/pad Blush

There is an old laptop under the sofa but not sure it'll still turn on...

But I'm intrigued now. What's the link?

Belly rubs to all the diffed (and rest assured, would would be deemed deserving by the Rulvakian high commission)

Good to see you back shred. I'm cd4. Yawn.

CaveMum · 24/04/2012 22:37

It is worth the effort. It's a sort of animation thing that puts the size of things into perspective. It starts with a person and you can zoom in to microscopic atomic particles or zoom out to planets, suns, galaxies and eventually the entire universe.
It's kinda nerdy, but that's why I like it!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/04/2012 07:11

Sounds cool

Shall crank up the old pc at some point...

So, citizens of Rulvakia, back to important things. What is our Eurovision entry. I think great things are expected...

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 07:50

Well I think it should be co-written by the BESH, shall we do a ballad? Or a more upbeat number? Also a bit decision is are we going to write it in English or Rulvakian? Suppose it depends on how many rhyming words there are in Rulvakian.
How is everyone this drab grey fine morning?

Northey · 25/04/2012 07:54

Not bad, not bad. Still a little nonplussed by AMNH's choice of sechsy murmurings last night. Hearing about Chelsea's Champions' League brilliance really doesn't do it for me. Though it was very funny when I mockingly called them "brave little soldiers, battling on" and he got a bit choked up.

CaveMum · 25/04/2012 08:07

Halloo! (have we decided what "hello" in Rulvakian is yet.)

I'm here, still no sign of droid so I'm now in with a chance - luteal phase is usually 15 days and 16 days ago we started our sechs marathon. Of course the fact that I can't pinpoint ovulation means I have no idea if I am now late or still have a week to go Confused

I found out yesterday in work that my boss is retiring at the end of the year, and was told by our Chairman that they "had not ruled out promoting someone internally" and that he'd like me to "think about it". I'm enormously flattered, my boss has run the company for almost 30 years, but now I'm having scary thoughts about taking on such responsibility and potentially disappearing on maternity leave shortly after taking over.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 08:30

Ah norf they're so precious about their footie teams aren't they?! Tell him he needs to step up his game off the field. That's speaking his language!
cavey that sounds like a big compliment. I had that qualm when I first took on my secondments (first year after 9 months ttc, second after 21!) and I'd have felt bad if I had got doffed before the end of either. To be fair, I still dunno what I'll be doing after September but I got tired of not taking opportunities while waiting to get diffed. They can't blame you for getting diffed! And you won't be off on mat leave forever....

Halloo (clearly Rulvakian is like Estonian, since they are neighbouring countries Wink and it is easy to remember!)

I am stuffy and coldy and grumpy. But excited about the mountains and blooming countryside. And about cavy's multiple chances. Take the opportunities and go for them!! And POAS, obviously. Agree with fee and bugs.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/04/2012 09:06

Oh and norf Hmm would have been my response to sechsy football murmerings. It was a good game, though. Winning with 10 men (outing myself as anothe footie-widow).

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 09:07

Indeed.

POAS good woman!

blonderthanred · 25/04/2012 09:19

Exciting times Cavey!

Re. the promotion, my boss was offered top boss's job just after she'd had IVF and she took it, after all she had no idea if the embryos would take and stick. She is about to go on mat leave to have her twins! I then hmmed and haaed about applying for her job for the same reason as you but was offered in Feb - and got diffed the same month. Yes I'm dreading telling the Board in the next week but not as much as I'm happy to be diffed. Of course my boss has been nothing but understanding - she understood why I couldn't put my life on hold 'just in case'.

Now poas!

CaveMum · 25/04/2012 10:02

You're all going to hate me, but I am holding out till the weekend before POASing. My theory being by then I will be somewhere between 11 and 18 dpo so should get a true result.
I don't have any pee sticks in the house, if I did I would have used them up by now!

[hides]

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 10:59

Ok visited doctor who now thinks....UTI? Worst UTI ever! So I have more potential baybee kind antibiotics. I hope these do the trick!
cavey MSB keeps trying to make me POAS and I am resisting. I may test Friday just in case of a fufc since I'll be about 14 dpi then.

eurochick · 25/04/2012 11:10

Cavey, that sounds great about the job! You are being v good about resisting the stick peeing...

Faithy surely they should have diagnosed that weeks ago! Grrrr.

I'm 9 dpo and feeling very PMT-y. I'm as sure as I can be at this point that the IUI hasn't worked. I'll be POAS on Friday to see if I can stop the steroids, but that'll just be a formality frankly.

So, the Rulvakia, Eurovision entry. Shall we start with a title? It needs to be suitably cheesy and suited to us. "Be my baby"? Or a Lordi style rock anthem of "Fvk the instadiffed"?

OP posts:
Northey · 25/04/2012 12:38

I rather like the "Fuk the instadiffed", myself. Perhaps it could have a lyrical "be my baby" interlude befor the final thrash chorus. A bit like McCartney shoe-horning a verse of random bounciness into Lennon's twangy sitar woo.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 12:43

Well this morning I have white cells in my wee which were there the very first time I went to the docs 4 weeks ago. They may have been hidden from view for a while because of the two courses of antibiotics I had. Now it's been a full fortnight without any antibitoics, they have popped up again. Who knows? But frankly I'll take anything to feel better! :)
Hang in there euro. I know it's been a tough emotional ride especially this cycle.
I like both the titles. I think it should be a heavy rock thing. Worked for Lourdi!

Northey · 25/04/2012 13:16

Do white cells indicate a UTI? It really is unbelievable how this is dragging on and leaving you in pain. Was there any talk of readmitting you?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/04/2012 13:16

Hang in there euro. It ain't over til the robot arrives/the computer says no/etc. I am feeling weepy, PMT-y, fat and miserable too. But it must be the trigger-shot talking. So I am comforting myself with fatty, sugary snacks.

I prefer the shouty, anti-instadiff rock, but that once again is my state of mind...

OMG faith all this horror-hospitlisation has infact been a ridiculous UTI!?! I am so sorry, fingers crossed the drugs help (and it came back because you are in fact diffed!)

Cave well done on stick ignoring!!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 14:01

The white cells do indeed indicate a UTI. No talk of readmission but suggested I try a bit of ibuprofen because I shouldn't get too wheezy with it. The time when I got really wheezy on it I did indeed have a chest infection which probably didn't help. Yes here's hoping the third course of antibiotics work their magic Hmm
drizz since I got home I've eaten half a tub of garlic and onion dip with crisps, most of a bag of chocolate caramels, a creme egg and a bag of jelly babies. Mmmm sugar. So don't sweat it. It's medicinal for both of us Grin

Northey · 25/04/2012 14:05

Chocolate caramels! Dribble.

I have just made banana bread. To use up a black banana . Not at all so that I can eat it all Blush

Poor drizz. The food will help. Have some wine too.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 15:19

Well I've just downloaded the MN app because the mobile site was not too iPhone friendly. Must confess it's rather good Grin it even has easy to press smileys. Hopefully I'll be doing less typos from now on...

FriendofDorothy · 25/04/2012 17:26

This has kept me amused for some time this afternoon!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/04/2012 17:40

Ha I've only read the first 10 but I've been laughing my arse head off! Brilliant dor :)

Northey · 25/04/2012 19:16

BRILLIANT! That's the first smile I've, er, cracked all day.
