Ladies im a week before POAS day, first month of trying and im going barmy and wanting to test every day, twice a day and three times in the morning just for luck!!! Ok im not that bad but am starting to lose my marbles with all the symptoms and when i POAS this morning two very very very faint lines showed up and then the test line got darker (i was lying in bed by now and fell asleep) then there was just one :( ggrrrrr xx

zumm · 07/03/2012 13:06

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and OOOOOH - CASP two lines???? TWO you say. Listen, I don't care if one went away. There were two lines.
Ladies, we may have our first BFP.
BUT step away from the sticks. You are banned from POAS til next week.

Stickle - damn right this thread is lucky (see above) ;). Day 13 is the big one (scuse slight pun) no? Enjoy the SWI and you get to POAS on was it the 20th? Heee.

blondeYayaMoment :) - on the linky you need to put the date of your lmp in the slot at the top (it currently says something like Jan 2006). Does that make sense? WIll take another look - if not just to enjoy the ugly baby advert.

Hey Ladies, can I join your spunky thread too?
Had my first af on Feb 16th (first since MMC early Jan) so have been having SWI for the last week as unsure when I'm ovulating. SHOULD be testing around mothers day but I very nearly poas today, and I may well do it later! All because I felt sick this morning, I realise it's ridiculous but it very almost nearly could be possible? I need to get some sense from somewhere......

caspacutie · 07/03/2012 16:46

Haha zumm im not letting my self get excited (although i do kinda believe i am) but may of been seeing it out of willing it to be there.

dont know what to believe so im stepping away from the sticks and trying not to think about it xxx

zumm · 08/03/2012 12:33

Caspa - god, I feel for ya. I think you probably are - there is no way you'd get two lines otherwise, and they do say to disregard la stix after 10 mins or some such, so there. KEEP US POSTED!!!

Hi Ost - and hugs re MMC - I hope you're alright. Were you far gone? I had one of those too (but in my case was very early on - like I was a day late and then tested positive but then started bleeding the following day so I was pretty pragmatic about it).

Anyhow, good good luck - sickness sounds promising ;) - - - - WAIT til mother's day. I sort of wish I hadn't even poas re. the above since then I'd just have thought I'd been a bit late rather than thinking I was pg and then discovering I wasn't... word to the wise. Tho obv I shall be testing pronto this time since MARCH IS OUR MONTH grls :)

Ooooh a spunky thread - May I join girls??

caspa I got the faintest line ever on my last BFP, I had to hold it to a lamp to see it - i knew it was there tho. Try in a few days. I know its beyond difficult.

I started clomid last month - except 15 days in I got my period!!! Bizarre but true - my bits work in mysterious ways! So taking another lot of clomid now -(im high on it i think - dizzy as .. well a dizzy thing...!)

This is going to be my month to get PG! Had mmc in Dec, they say you're likely to get preg quicker after mc combine that with the clomid and I think the old lady bits are ripe to be fruited! If that makes sense.

BUT, dont think I can actually test until 4th April - but im OV testing as ive no idea when thats gonna happen. Thats just as stressful as pregnancy testing. Sick of peeing on sticks!! However as soon as AFs gone we're gonna be swi'ing like the couple of dogs that we are! (As long as DP doesnt pee on floor after!)

CassMonkey · 08/03/2012 15:43

Love this spunky thread! I came off the pill in December and have been ttc since, periods aren't even close to regular so no idea if/when I'm ovulating but have had a couple of periods since, last one finished on 29th Feb - really hoping this is my lucky month!

You all sound like you're doing so well - never mind giving up tea, I haven't even given up wine! Maybe I should try but it's difficult with things like nights out, weddings and a holiday coming up, I wonder how much difference it actually makes if you do though? Have you heard stories where people have given up completely and then it's happened? I have been eating REALLY well though and feeding hubby things like brazil nuts too! I'm just aware it might take months and months (must be more positive!) and a friend gave me the advice to just relax and live as normal so that's why I thought it might be a bit premature to give up drinking! I've got PCOS though so I am trying be as healthy generally (I think that makes it harder to get pg) - I've completely given up the odd cigarette I used to have on nights out too.

I was taking my temp last month but didn't notice an increase - so maybe I didn't ovulate?! Hope that was just a one off if so! I haven't tolf DH I'm taking my temp first thing each morning as it isn't very sexy, so I try and take it quietly and hope the beeping doesn't wake him up! :)

Anyway good luck ladies!

zumm · 08/03/2012 18:25

Hello Ribs - dizzy like a dizzy thing :). Nicetameetcha. Yeh, and listen to her, caspa, she knows about lines and that.

And MysteriousBitsMonkey hello too. So you're gunna get pg this month too -- oh good.

Hmmm, not sure how well I'm doing tho, Monkey. The wine giving up thing is well sort of more 'cutting back' but given I cld quite easily polish off half a whole bottle a night, I really have to. But I think living (fairly) normally is right, as your friend says - maybe just a leetle beet healthier than normal if you're an unhealthy old lush like me.

Hey everyone.

Caspa, I know what you mean, I'm sure lots of us have "imagined" lines on sticks. Very difficult if it's really faint, as well, I don't think I'd know what to think, either! All the best, though. Let us know how you get on when you test again :)

Sorry to hear about the mmc, Ribs. I don't have any experience myself and can't imagine what it must be like. Wishing you luck for a BFP that sticks this cycle.

Welcome to the group, CassMonkey. I've been trying temping as well, fertilityfriend thinks I ovulated but I must say I'm not wholly convinced - Temps seem to be a bit all over the place. Going to try temping vaginally if things don't work out this month. Unfortunately it's not unusual to have the occasional month where you don't ovulate, though. (And particularly if you have PCOS then unfortunately that might be the explanation). Doesn't say anything about this month, though, so fingers crossed for this month!

I'm not sure how I feel about things this month... I would love to be optimistic but had such a crappy day generally (started with a "debate" with dp - was not really up for that at 7am, then was late for work, and the day never really picked up after that). So today I feel like AF is just around the corner. She's not showed up yet, though, so not completely given up hope, but just feeling a bit meh today.

Hope things look brighter for the rest of you!!

Ostrich78 · 09/03/2012 08:32

Morning ladies,

Zumm I've had 2 MMC :( one at 8 weeks in Aug and the last at 10 weeks. But I'm feeling very positive for this next pregnancy!

Ribs sorry to hear about your mmc x Here's hoping this is both our lucky month!!

Cass It's so difficult to know when and what to give up, it's my birthday this weekend and I've decided I'm going to waste a test so that if it's a BFN then at least I can have a few drinks and not feel too guilty! Shouldn't be testing until next weekend though.

Jen Hope today is a better day for you x

I woke up with a really dodgy stomach this morning and feel very sick, not sure if it's a bug or a really good sign (way too early though huh?) which in my deluded mind is another good sign to waste a test!!

Fingers crossed for you all x

YaYaOC · 09/03/2012 08:49

Cass I'm not sure how much giving up alcohol helps getting pregnant but obviously its better for your pregnancy when you do. I'm cutting it out in the hopes that a) somehow it will help us conceive, b) once I conceive (this month fingers crossed) that my baby will be healthier and c) every time I get a hangover I feel lie I'm going to die!
Having said that I do still drink on big occasions, but just so I'm comfortably tipsy!
In the case of sods law, if you have a really boozy month then you will get pregnant and spend the first few months worrying that all the alcohol has somehow affected your baby.

RIBS · 09/03/2012 09:49

Morning girls.

So I see that we all like the occasional tipple!! Yes im afraid I fall into that category too. Iv actually had a craving for red wine and guiness. I reckon my iron levels are low - my friend suggested an iron tablet may be better than pouring alcohol down my neck! Bah. As if!!!!!!!!!!

I found I was PG with my DD mid Jan (a few yrs ago) - I had no idea. Id been out on the lash all over xmas and in Dublin over new year - say no more! So id had a few. I think it aided the conception!! Lets face it we all get the horn when we've had a skin full.

Well period about out - im leaving nothin to chance this month. We start SWIing tomorrow (as 2 doses of clomid in 3 weeks) and dont stop til BFP. Im buying a bulk load of tampax - that usually does the trick! Ov sticks at thermometer at the ready!!

Hi to Issi - month 2 it is then :) Good luck everyone! Tampax at the ready (i.e. Ribs' secret anti-p weapon). Right, going now...

I am desparate to join the luckt march crew, my first bout of metformin shifted my af by a week (pcos) so if I look in line with that I should ov 18th so its still a possibility.

Cerazette is the pill, this is my first month ttc xxx

CassMonkey · 09/03/2012 20:05

First month - you're so lucky! What an exciting time for you :) x

jennifer86 · 09/03/2012 21:03

Caspa that's such great news! So happy for you!! So that other very faint line must have been an actual faint line (rather than an illusion / figment of your imagination)! Woohoo!! You must be so excited!

Lol, zumm, that is exactly what I've done today. Brew earlier and now Wine is exactly what was needed! AF hasn't quite shown up yet, though, so still trying to hold on to some optimism! (Also found out today that I didn't get a job I applied for... So that was good). :(

Here's to tomorrow, caspa's BFP and many more like it to come on this thread. Wine
