Right, who is going to get pregnant this March?
You are?
Well fancy that. So am I.

Sticklebricksuk · 27/02/2012 18:32

I SO am! I sense it! I'm with you zumm

zumm · 28/02/2012 13:15

Right, Stickle, given we're the only two on this thread, I reckon our chances are very high.

So. Details please. When will you be able to POAS? My date shall be 24th of March so right at the end. Happy joy.

Also, is this your first, second, or more? It'll be my second, so know a touch greedy. But DC1 is coming up for 2 so would be (sorry, will be ;), positive spunky thinking eh) 2.5 when this one is due.

Tell all back pliz. Ta.

hehe, spunky Smile

After my first month of Clomid AF didn't come, and I didn't get a BFP, so I'm now on my last day of Provera to induce a bleed so I can take the next lot of Clomid.

I hate all the time spent faffing around, waiting for things to happen, like waiting now for AF so I can take the next lot of Clomid, and start SWI like mad.

zumm · 28/02/2012 14:12

Ah, another spunker. Hello Pipi. So if you're now waiting for your dear aunt, if she arrives, it means you STILL have another hit at the lucky month of March.

How is the Clomid going? I hear it can be a bit tough on your system? Hope you are doing ok.

Sticklebricksuk · 28/02/2012 14:29

Hiya zumm and pippi Smile

Nice to have some spunky buddies! This will be our first, both DH and I no others. It's all very exciting. We are the only ones out of both sets of mates with no kiddies and now we've decided the time is right I really want it to happen now. I'm obsessed with Mumsnet and reading everything I can get my hands on and starting with the OPKs this month not taking it too seriously as this is only Cycle 3 and I'm well aware that is no time at all. My best mate reckons I'm struggling with this whole TTC malarky because I am such a control freak and this is one thing I cannot control. I think she has may have a point. After 2 perfect 26 day cycles, my last one was 38 frigging days and I PO many AS Blush. So frankly no idea when I'll be able to POAS this time. My app thing that I track my AF visits on reckons that next one is due 20th March by averaging out the cycles, which would make this cycle 29 days if its true, so reckon I'll be POAS round about then if I last that long, but feel like it's all gone a bit out of the window.

I've been on the pill for 13 years, so I literally have no idea what my cycle was like before that - what 17 year old takes notice of such things!? Gah.

Yeah, so there you go, that's me!

zumm · 28/02/2012 20:56

Ohh stickle - hello. So let rule no 1 of this thread be that there shall be no POASing until the 20th or maybe we sd POAS together on the 24th ... heheh.
Re the pill, apparently it can take a few months for some people to get their cycles back so - I really don't think you're srtuggling with TTC if you're only on cycle 3 (regardless of what your best mate says).

Rule no 2 is. Um. What's rule no 2? Any ideas?
How about: no wine, vodka, gin or anything nice that causes cravings from post AF to POAS.

That prob covers most bases? Remember the first time around: I seriously cut back on the booze, coffee, tea (am tea addict, am hard me) that month and bingo.

Good luck grrrls.

OP posts:
pippilongsmurfing · 29/02/2012 13:23

Hi stickle and zumm, I only started the Clomid on this cycle, and I didn't have a period when it was due, and Metformin had regulated my cycle, so I got all excited, for no reason it turned out.

I finished the Provera yesterday, so hopefully AF will arrive soon so I can get on and start the next lot of Clomid.

I don't really think I've had too many side effects from the Clomid. I do feel a bit headachey sometimes, but that's about it.

I have cut out all booze totally, and am trying to cut back on the tea ( I LOVE tea), so perhaps I'll see if I can get a decent caffeine free one.

My DH wass getting his ear bent about Metformin, Clomid, temp taking, EWCM etc, so now I vent on here, as to not drive him mad.

zumm · 29/02/2012 14:19

Oh good luck Pippi.
Sigh, I love tea too. It's hardly cocaine, but, I know it has to go. Am dreading the idea of cutting back...giving up?!?... Hum.
As for booze, I have a big night out planned for Fri (AF still on) and I'm going to make the most of it and then maybe cold turkey on it all.
Vent away here on the drugs, temps and etc - it's ONLY for March, right? Right! Lucky thread etc ;).
Wonder how stickle is doing?

OP posts:
MissMedusa · 29/02/2012 14:24

I'm going to get PG in March as well.

Poor DH. This is the first time he's expressed genuine disappointment when I told him AF arrived today. Prior to this, it always seemed like I was dragging him along for the ride. Happy if it works out, happy if it doesn't, sees no need to put in any extra effort to make things happen. Hopefully this will be our month.

zumm · 29/02/2012 14:44

Oh hello miss. Another Marcher. Yes, you are. By the law of thread probability, there will be some baby hits on here. Has to be luckier than the lottery, right.

Right.

I think your DH might be right minded in his tude, Miss. It's that 'ooooh relax and it'll happen; oooooh not quite sure. oh blimey, bingo, well would you believe it?', thing going on.

Actually, does that mean we don't need to give up the wine tea; given that we're all so relaxed about it ;). Good luck all. :)

OP posts:
MissMedusa · 29/02/2012 14:52

Relaxed about TTC?! That's a novel idea.
Crazy enough that it just might work. :o

Sticklebricksuk · 29/02/2012 18:36

Hiya, nothing to report, just checking in with my new March baby buddies!
Still feeling positive about March being the month. Just cooking a thai red curry with loads of secret veg stashed in for DH who "doesn't do veg". Also packed him a banana with his snap (that's Yorkshire for packed lunch if anyone doesn't know!).

Definitely can't give up my tea though ladies. or the fags cutting down a bit though. We're out on Saturday night for DHs birthday and have booked a hotel rather than staying at a mates given it's within my fertile window (hopefully). [sneaky emoticon]. Also trying to book a massage while he's at the footy on Saturday if the buggers would ever actually answer calls or emails so I am super relaxed.

Good luck with all you are going through Pippi and hiya to MissMedusa. Also a nod to my old partner in crime zumm Wink

zumm · 01/03/2012 12:46

So I just had a massive cappuccino and a twix for lunch. Do I win the prize for most healthy. Stickle, I clearly need to come round to yours for supper.
Good luck with the fags... I managed to give them up in one foul swoop a few years ago, after lots of half arsed attempts.
Miss, how's all with you today? Are you all at work? I've given up the day job and work from home, at least a couple of hours per day, which is interesting with a small kid. Obviously mn is my anti-fag fag break.

Hello Ladies, good to have some company on the wait! I was feeling positive about March but af due on wed and I don't think I'm pg. I was convinced a week ago- hormonal, emotional, spotty etc but think that is naughty body playing tricks!! Already POAS 3x but obviously too early. Have geared myself up for a bfn & af nxt week. If I'm out then i get another shot & will get pg in march but test in April. Does that count? ;p

pippilongsmurfing · 02/03/2012 13:20

fingers x'd for you wine, hope you get that BFP Smile

zumm · 03/03/2012 13:58

WINE ! heheh good name. Yy - you might have the first March score!!! And if not, yes, of course April counts as the month to test. Oh, anxious wait. Tut tut, 3 x poas. Too too early.
Wait til Tues Thurs. Oh the anticipation.

My supposed health kick is going utterly badly - crisps and hot choc for lunch. Hum.
Oh and Pippi, about 8 cups of evil tea have already been drunk (hangover from last night).
Still, sun's shining and headache's gone :)

Hi everyone. I'm hoping this is my month, as well, may I join you all? This is our 3rd cycle of TTC. I'm still getting used to my cycles after having come off the pill, but AF should be due somewhere between 10th-17th. Planning on waiting 'til 17th to test (if AF hasn't turned up by then), as I'd rather not have to go to work after testing and trying to hide my grin from everybody :o Will be hard waiting that long, though, so suspect I may crack before that!

Good luck, everyone.

zumm · 06/03/2012 13:20

Hi Jen - so we're nearing the 10th :)
And wine - have you cracked yet?? Two days to go...

Let the hand-holding or perhaps (post poas) hand-washing (sorry) begin.

MissMedusa · 06/03/2012 13:44

I booked a romantic weekend away in the mountains for this weekend so we could get in a lot of SWI around the time I thought I would OV before I realised I OV later (CD16) which won't be until the middle of next week.

Oh well, it will be good to spend some quality time with DH whether or not his little swimmers will be of use to me Wink

YaYaOC · 06/03/2012 13:55

We're not even actively trying, more just BDing without protection and seeing where it takes us
First month of trying for us. I was actually due AF on Sunday but tested today and BFN :( However I am holding out that actually it was a false negative and AF wont come and I will get my BFP soon. Unfortunately where I currently live each test is 11euros, so no willynilly testing for me!

caspacutie · 06/03/2012 14:01

I wanna be in on this too! :D xx POAS day monday, i think xx

zumm · 06/03/2012 14:19

YAYA hello - fabulous idea to not actively try :). But big BAH to your BFN, but, but, that was really feb and you weren't trying and, well, MARCH has only just begun so we (royal wee) predict (mystic meg stylee) a BFP for the month of March. This thread is lucky, lucky, lucky. Um yes. Am scaring self now ;).

Ha caspa = cccccccccccccccoooooooooool. Monday, monday, monday (and chant).

SWI starts tomorrow for me - night out drinking tonight, but promise this will be my LAST drinking night out (OV is Sat according to those online chart thingies - Yaya, check out this link if you want to 'try' a bit more exactly this month - www.askdramy.com/ovulationcalc.html ). So after tonight, and acc to above linky, I promise to be hold off the hard stuff (and yes, that possibly includes tea - it has come to this).

OP posts:
zumm · 06/03/2012 14:21

PS on the right of that link is a very funny pic of a baby getting progressively uglier the closer it gets to Dad. Hahahah.

OP posts:
YaYaOC · 06/03/2012 14:33

May be being blonde Zumm but cant see the 'create' button for that link. After browsing through mumsnet ovulation calculator I'm pretty certain I ovulated on the 19th and definitely DTD on that day, as well as the days before and after.
I have stopped drinking over the past month but if AF comes then my staff night out is Thursday and it would be rude not too! I am struggling to cut out caffeine but as I haven't got my BFP yet I will stick to within moderation if possible.
Here's to March being our lucky month!

Sticklebricksuk · 06/03/2012 14:59

Yo! Just checking in again to mark my place as I feel that this is going to be a lucky thread. Well I'm on day 13 of my cycle today and am still SWI in earnest! Had a lovely night in a hotel on Saturday after a night out with mates and managed to dtd a couple of times! Having a go with the ebay cheapie OPKs but no line of any sort so far. However, am trying to keep realistic about it and not get hung up on them as I have read that they don't work for eveyone, and also that the window may be quite short as some say they use one every wee! I have been doing one a day at about 6pm but nothing so far. Still have to admit I'm quite enjoying all the SWI anyway, so I think we'll just keep doing it all the month long and hope for the best. I have a lovely little bubbly feeling in my tummy every time I think this might be the month for my BFP! I honestly have a weird feeling that this is going to be the one! I think I might be due AF around the 20th, but last cycle was mental, so I'm going to wait until Saturday 24th before I test. Honest guv
