ok, as the january thread reached 1800 posts exactly, well it did at last count, I think it's time we started the February thread. Now February has lots going for it, valentines, extra reasons for BD, it only has 28 days, the average length of a menstral cycle, .. so me thinks feb will be a very positive month for all of us!

Happy BD to all! (((hugs))) xxx

Well pussycat AF tends to differ. Generally it's about 28 days, but last month it was 32 when I was totally convinced I was pg apart from the neg tests, so we'll see.

trace2 · 06/02/2006 15:25

no af yet, but done another test yesterday and its BFN, but going out to buy one soon, and do tomorrow morning, and if still nom af on friday do one then

pussycatmomma · 06/02/2006 15:36

wannabe my af varies as well.......the last one was 27 days, last month was 24 days. it varies though, sometimes much much longer. Is hard to try and work out and keep track isnt it?

wannaBe1974 · 06/02/2006 15:45

yeah almost impossible, and I read somewhere that the time between ovulation and AF is always the same, so if cycles vary, then that must mean that ovulation is different every month which is very confusing

OP posts:
pussycatmomma · 06/02/2006 15:46

yes i read that somewhere, that it is always 14 days before start of period when you ovulate, is that right? i agree is very confusing.

trace2 · 06/02/2006 15:48

but what happens when you come on late then, it carnt be 14 befor or it changes that

pussycatmomma · 06/02/2006 15:49

i think it is you know, so that means you must ovulate later in the month

trace2 · 06/02/2006 15:53

anyway only did bding twice this month and first was 22 so i carnt be pg

wannaBe1974 · 06/02/2006 15:53

that's right, so if you have a 34 day cycle that would mean you ovulate on day 20, and if you only have a 24 day cycle then it would be day 10 and so on. that is why the general consensus is that one ovulates on day 14, it's based on a 28 day cycle.

OP posts:
trace2 · 06/02/2006 15:55

i only have a 26 at most cycle, so it must be change then

NatalieJane · 06/02/2006 16:03

Hi All,
WOW a potentially exciting few days ahead for you trace, I have my fingers crossed. keep us informed.
A funny day for me The heating wasn't on in my room so very cold all day long, We moved out to the music room which was ok, as we emptied it, but kids were still blowing on swanee whistles, banging drums etc loudly at every moment.. we moved back to our room ASAP even though it remained chilly all day..I didn't even have my emergency jumper in school either!!
Good to see you are feeling better pussycat. Don't feel down Gemma, and if you do, tell us all about it... most of us feel the same way as you do (or have done so at some point)and as everyone says it will hapen for you, it's just irritating your cycle hasn't got back to normal yet. It has taken mine 6 months after my implant was removed.
Sorry really long post!!
I'm off to read the chat thread now!

peachygirl · 06/02/2006 17:29

trace2 · 07/02/2006 08:18

morning ladys, i did another test and its still BFN , but still no af, i am at gp on moday if it still dont come.

anyway i just want to saythat me and dh as a chat, i have a lot going on im my life at the moment, so maybe all whats happening around me is affecting af, delaying, or even stopping it,

my dads ill got heart problems, with fluid on his lungs, we are a bit worried for sis shes having tests, and it might be womb cancer also we have lots of building work going on.

so we are stopping ttc and making the most of jack, i am feb up every month of trying, so whats not ment to be, i am also stopping posting on here, the more i come on the more i get worked up, i will check your posts sometimes, to see how your all going. and one more note, i would like to say thank you all for your surport , pussycat, peachy, you too are the best, and i really hope you get your BFP soon. also the rest i hope you all get pg this year and good luck all.

gemmaseascout · 07/02/2006 09:19

Good luck whatever happens. Let us know the outcome of this AF tho. please?

mumswish · 07/02/2006 09:36

gemma - I hope you find out soon one way or another.

wannaBe1974 · 07/02/2006 09:57

morning all

oh Trace (((hugs))) so sorry to hear that you have decided this. Only give up though if it's really how you feel. I sent an email to my best friend when trying to get PG with DS, and it said almost word for word what you said on here, not about the illnesses etc but the stress and stopping because of not being able to go through it any more. Ironically that month I was pregnant and didn't know it, as your AF still isn't there you never know you could still be PG, never give up hope, unless that's what you absolutely want.

Please let us know what your GP says, or even if AF arrives, will be thinking of you, you can email me any time, my email address is [email protected].

(((hugs))) xxx

jabberwocky · 07/02/2006 17:31

trace, if it helps at all, we have some friends who ttc for four years, diligently with no success until they took a month off. They now have an adorable ds one year younger than mine.
