About time I start a thread! Pom poms still shaking, bumps growing, babies and toddlers talk a plenty, while the support, laughs, hand holds and weebling continues...

How are thr pains 4ever?

moonmrs · 08/08/2012 20:07

rumours we're all here for you - I have no idea whatsoever I'm afraid, but you obviously know your boys, and to be honest whatever anyone else thinks is redundant unless they've been through the same as you, I guess they're trying to be helpful but failing miserably! As long as you can work out how to manage everything and above all be happy, then your job is done. Hope you get some help. Big hug.

4ever sorry to hear of your ovulation pains, must be hatching a massive egg eh Wink I'm on day 23, trying not to symptom spot..... We usually dtd every other day, but completely with you on the luck thing, first time round we obviously had no clue what we were doing, and 2nd time was luck as I didnt know what my cycle was doing as it was only 2 cycles after last mc. I think now we're painfully aware of every twinge it takes away that luck element as you try so hard to make it happen. About the pains - I thought it was as you were ovulating, but I'm not sure on that, just get to it if its hurting is all I say!

Massive apologies for not making it back earlier Blush

Moon & 4ever Good luck for these next cycles ladies, as always will be hoping this is the lucky one
Rumours In the same boat as the others with lack of experience in these matters but have to agree that with you as a Mum neither of your ds's will go far wrong. You do an amazing job every day and no diagnosis will change that, we will be here for you though (hoping to be here more often posting rather than just lurking)
Barbie Diet?? I'd die for your figure! I'm currently doing slimming world and have managed to lose 9lbs in 4 weeks, it's been a lot easier this time round not sure why? Are you still distracting yourself with being busy? FB pictures of the kids are absolutely gorgeous Smile

Sorry I didn't come back after posting my worries over E's behaviour and nursery, I had really good feedback from the nursery (they didn't have concerns with his behaviour but wanted to know if I knew there was support to help me at the childrens centre) I've since had parents evening and had such a glowing report, they say he's very advanced for his age with numeracy and literacy Smile apparently he's more than ready for pre-school room but they are loathe to put him up too early as he's got 2 years in there compared to his other friends who will all go to school next year. It's typical isn't because of his late birthday he will be 5 when he starts and he could so do with going next year!
Things kind of came tumbling down all around me over the last couple of months, and I've been under the doctor for anxiety, I'm coming to terms with some issues and talking things through with my lovely GP, we've avoided medication so far as it's not ideal with ttc, but I do hope you know I didn't abandon you all, I've been lurking regularly just not up to posting.

I don't think I could ever leave you lovely ladies Smile

bluesatinsash · 09/08/2012 14:40

Hi everyone, so lovely to see a flurry of posts Smile. I feel Blush for not being on much either, it?s just been such a busy summer with school hols, wall to wall Olympics and decorating/gutting the house.

Anyway have said ?bugger work? and am going to write a decent lengthed post for once.

It?s nearly four years since we all started posting so I feel and hope you all do too that we may go through phases of not being able to post but are always there in the background giving stealth support. I genuinely think of you all as my friends and I?m not prone to gushy sentimentality (I?m Scottish after all Wink) but four years is an AMAZING achievement for keeping a thread going and it?s a testament to the genuine love and warmth we feel for each other.

Buddha - so glad to hear things are well with E. He looks such a happy, loved and cherished wee boy from your FB photos and that?s all down to you! Glad you?re getting support from your GP too and well done for the weight loss.

4ever - loved your post after Barbie?s dress link, I could so picture you laughing away. Really hope the egg is a good ?un ? a wee Spring 2013 baby? Can?t believe Summer is in 3-4 clothes, she?s going to be a tall girl that one! Olympic netball team circa 2028? What a worrying time you?re having with your Dsis, really hope she continues to get better.

Barbie - so Sad to read about your horrendous side affects of the pill. Have you noticed a difference yet since stopping? I had to cease taking it back in 2001 as was getting almost daily focal migraines and was at risk of a stroke Shock. Echo Buddha in saying Dolly and Henry are just thee most cutest brother and sister combo ever Smile.

Rumours have a big, nay huge hug from me . You are amazing and will do whatever is right for DS2 as you have done for DS1. The professionals may just be overly cautious because of DS1?s history. My DS1 hardly spoke until he was 3 and will always have a slight teeny tiny form of dyslexia I think (its not been highlighted to me but he gets words muddled) but we just do our best, give extra love and support and always tell him he can achieve whatever he puts his mind to.

mrsmoon - CD24 now? Any symptoms? Loving your more frequent posts, you?re such a contended happy married woman Smile

neeko - big waves to you my lovely. Hope you?re cherishing the last couple of weeks of the hols, at least the weather has finally realised its August!

LBM and Louey - so Envy you were at the Olympics. Louey can?t believe you were there for super Saturday and saw Mo Farrah and Jessica, that must have been totally amazing. I was crying watching it on the telly!

cupcake how are your two? We need a more recent pic of DS2!

Sabs - how are you coping with the fasting? In this heat it must be hard x

Big hugs and waves to Monkey, MLS, Curly and anyone lurking x

The school hols have just swooshed by, can?t believe we?ve only one week to go. Will miss being able to have lazy mornings and late nights but am looking forward to quality me and B time again. We?re off to Centre Parcs tomorrow with extended family til Monday then off all next week so going to cherish it.

And oh I would so love for us all to meet up one day. Maybe a Christmas day/night out? Lots and lots of Wine xxx

4everhopeful · 09/08/2012 14:42

Welcome back Buddha my lovely! Smile Have been wondering where you were and how you were getting on, sorry to hear lifes stresses have got on top of you, but pleased to hear you are taking positive steps forward and being supported... Onwards and upwards and E sounds like he is certainly giving you plenty to smile about the bright little button, bless him! Proud mummy moments indeed! Smile Yay don't you go leaving us lady, we'd come looking! Grin

Wasn't gonna mention this on here as all too awful, but the poor missing 12yr old girl Tia, lives about 10mins away from us, with her mum, stepdad and brothers, on the next road to my BIL & family, who all know her well, my 11yr old niece is understandably freaked out, its all just to unbearable to think or talk about for long tbh, there are posters of her absolutely everywhere... Sad The rumourmill is flying, but the main hope every day I wake up and just pray its the day she's found.. Absolutely cannot begin to imagine what her mum is going through, how would you even function? Just awful..

4everhopeful · 09/08/2012 15:03

X post - ahhh Blue that's so lovely what you wrote Smile indeed, 4yrs of keeping this thread going is most definitely testament to the lovely strong friendships that we have all made and we absolutely have every right to be proud of that, and how far we've come, was thinking in Shock the other day can't believe rumours & sabs 1st graduates turn 3 next month! Shock Amazing! Grin
Hope you have a lovely break at Centerparks! Hooray for the weather! Olympic fever has caught us all up hasn't it? Didn't know about lucky louey actually being there for super saturday! Envy What a night that was! Grin I've been emotional ever since the opening ceremony(!) & yep DH totally has Summer down as a future olympian Grin must say, she has quite the athletes physique, strong long legs & sooo tall! That giant egg image is hopefully quite befitting given the size she was! Fingers xd its nestling in as we speak Hmm Smile 4everhopeful by nature through & through Smile

blue you say the loveliest things. It is something quite special when we've all been here for so long, still supporting each other, and yes I agree that everyone has their times when they can't post or arent feeling up to it, but thats the beauty of this thread is that there is always someone around to offer a shoulder and a glass of wine. Glad to hear you've been enjoying the holidays and enjoy Center Parcs Smile I am a very happy married lady, a few have said that on here, its funny how its changed me when I never expected it to. Symptoms Hmm well yes but could also be af symptoms, so am trying not to pay any attention to them

nice to see you buddha glad to hear things are looking up for you, and well done on your weight loss, nothing like losing weight for a confidence boost Smile

4ever its so sad about Tia, I really hope they'll find her, it must be horrible not knowing and like you say you cannot comprehend how her family must be feeling. Makes it even worse that your family know her Sad

Cant stop, will try to get back over the weekend. Hugs to all.

Rumours · 10/08/2012 08:24

blue thanks for the bear hug and if you have concerns about ds just ask his teachers, but your right about the encouragement, I tell ds1 he can do anything he wants when he grows up, as he long as he works hard and is always kind Smile
Enjoy centreparcs, when do you go back to school, ours on tuesday!

buddha good to hear things are settling down with ds Smile

Rumours · 10/08/2012 08:24

And here's to 4 years Wine

Monkeybumsmum · 10/08/2012 11:21

Hello Smile
Have been wanting to post for ages but what with being away, and it being a constant whirlwind since we got home I just haven't managed to find time. I should be doing lots now, but have thought sod it, and will post instead Grin

Firstly I have to say how lovely it was to finally meet gorgeous barbie and her beautiful children! I loved it! Like you said barbie it really did feel as if we'd known each other for ages Smile I just feel frustrated that we don't live a little bit closer so it would be easier to meet up again... Charlie so enjoyed meeting Dolly - I have some fab pics of them together, will post them on FB ASAP!

Rumours I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been going through, you must be very worried about ds2. Like the others I have no doubt at all that you will do the best for him that you possibly can, you are an amazing mummy I'm sure. DS1 and DS2 are very lucky to have you Smile

4ever wow re the OV pain, I hope it was for a good reason! It sounds like it was v sore though Sad What kind of pain was it? My OV pain feels like someone's hit me between the legs with a cricket bat - really odd but horribly sore! My goodness re poor Tia living so close to you. I really hope she's found safe and sound very soon. Any other outcome doesn't bear thinking about Sad

Hi moon, it's lovely to see you posting so much! You do sound like you are a very happy married lady Smile I'm afraid I've lost track of what's going on with you, think you are still taking Clomid, is that right? I hope this is a redundant question, but what will be next after the Clomid? Hope so much you don't have to think about that!!

Blue sounds like you've had rather a busy holiday! It goes so fast doesn't it! It would be fab to organise a meet-up that everyone could get to, let's hope it comes to fruition Grin
Have a great time at Centreparcs!

Buddha so sorry to hear you've been going through a tough time lately. How are you doing now, have things improved at all? E sounds like he's a very bright little boy, and if he's been feeling frustrated then might that help explain why he's been a bit naughty? Is there no way he could start Pre-school then school a bit early if he's ready for it? Birth dates can be a pain sometimes... At our school they have been know to start children off who are only three, in fact once one child did it they seem to have started a bit of a trend, and we get a handful of three year olds in each class now each September. We're different to the UK though...
BTW, with regard to your anxiety, have you thought or heard about something called CBT? Think it stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. It's a way of dealing with anxieties, problems etc that changes the way you think about them, rather than other types of counselling that go back to the source of the problem, which can be distressing and in my opinion quite exhausting. It's supposed to be amazing. I've been in touch with a CBT lady here, and have my first appointment in a couple of weeks. Maybe it's worth a try to see if it can help you? Lots of love xxx

Right, better go as need to get cracking... Got a friend and her children coming to stay next week, and the spare room looks like a bombs hit it Grin
The sun is shining too, would much rather be outside...
Love to you all xxx

4everhopeful · 10/08/2012 18:54

Sad Sickening news they found what's probably Tias body at the grandmothers house.. Knew there was something dodgy sounding about the partner.. Too horrific to think about, had a horrible feeling this would be the outcome, hope they catch the evil bastard asap.. Sad

OP posts:
moonmrs · 10/08/2012 19:21

4ever I've just seen it on the news and immediately came on here as I knew you would be badly affected by it Sad I cannot believe how someone can hurt a child, let alone a family member its incomprehensible. Big hug to you.

4everhopeful · 10/08/2012 19:57

Moon i'm just horrified and ashamed this has happened to someone from our area, although the grandmothers house is several miles away, the mum and Tia, as i said, live on the next rd to my in laws, who often saw her out and about.. Its just unbearable to think of the awful circumstances of that poor young girls death... Sad I hate to say it but from the beginning of the wk, as soon as I read the 'grandad' was actually just the grans partner, and he was only 37 I knew something wasn't right, the fact she didn't take her mobile phone, what kid goes anywhere without there phone, and also the fact no trace of her on cctv, think the whole nation must of thought the same thing really, the finger pointed to him all along, its just sickeningly awful that her poor mum and other relatives were spending time there and now know the horrific reality that she was there all along.. Its beyond comprehension really...

Sorry to bleat on about something so depressingly awful on our lovely thread... Sad

OP posts:
Rumours · 10/08/2012 20:05

4ever don't apologised, I've just seen it too and thought of you, it's so sad and horrible Sad, have they found the grand partner yet?
