We're about to meet with family friend who is a mw & has agreed to be at the birth of this one as my sort of doula/advocate.. quite exciting, hoping it will lake me feel a lot more relaxed about the whole thing. Officially full term now

You wouldn't be an Emmsy if you hadn't wobbled back up again with hope & belief in your heart. Now what you need to do is try & harness that positivity & determination you felt a couple of weeks ago & turn it into the driving force that is going to get you up-duffed. I'm sure you have already weebled your way upright again now that your af is over (or almost over) yes? Prepare to be sperminated!

cupcake I'm speeding along behind you girl (albeit a rather limping, wobbly type of speeding). I'm now 36+2 & not quite ready to drop yet. I need to finish the last of my hospital bag, do my belly cast next weekend & then I'll feel ready. How's your back? I'm really struggling with both the back & pelvis now but there is a fast approaching light at the end of that tunnel!!

mls my back is a bit better but flares up every now & then..not helpful that ds is getting a bit clingy & wants to be carried a lot (sure he knows change is afoot!) I can't wait to get this weight off my pelvis too but from past experience it was still a good many few weeks before I could sit/lie comfortably even after the birth!

Saturday is our final date night, dinner & cinema with dh so can't do that either I'm just asking to go overdue aren't I!!

Midwife asked if I wanted a sweep late next wk & I'm not sure :-s think I might go for it.

A sweep!!! You are braver than me, I'd wait until at least another week! We are exactly a week and a half apart then going by our own dates. I'm the 25th (or the 21st going by their completely wrong dates).

I've had a stressful couple of days. Dd2 been quite ill & now the cyst that she had last year on her neck is coming back. We have a consultant appt on thurs. he said last time if it comes back she'll need an MRI scan under general & drainage. This baby had better not be early.

I know..but she also told me baby is 'not in an optimal position' (which made me cry ) so I figure my body needs all the kick starts it can get..she said she'd do them every 2 or 3 days after that..Eek. anyway I had about 4 last time & they did nada so don't hold out much hope.

Rubbish about your dd2 that's a stress you don't need :( yes, baby can just hold tight til 25th.. if mine came on that day it would be exactly 10 years since dh & I met :)

neeko don't worry that will be happening too... Though, again, we did every night that I was overdue with ds & nothing! I'll still try everything though. Don't know if my poor back can handle it this time though!!
