Nicola63 · 25/02/2006 18:52

Hi there,
finished reading Lelie Reagan's book, thought it was really wonderful and so helpful right now. Just the right tone.
Went to hairdresser today and had cut and colour, feel more like myself now and back to level and even emotional state. Tiredness and cramps all gone, no bleeding either. Just feel like normal me. Yes, its been a sad week, but feel something is at least being done, and I can cope with it all now. Strangely enough, hubby and I went for a walk in park after I came back from hairdresser and we bumped into the obstetrician who did my ERPC this week! He was out walking too, with his kids. How strange. I did not recognise him in his casual gear but hubby did! He was sweet, asked me how I was and said see you soon.

I highly recommend going out walking in the wind to clear away cobwebs of the mind!

Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone, and stay positive. I don't feel great but I feel like me and that has to be a good step. Taking things one step at a time is my advice of the day, it is working for me.

going4potty · 25/02/2006 20:34

Well, i guess your all doing something much more interesting then me. Im gonna slob out and watch some telly, im full of cold and cant get rid! so ive been looking forward to watching captain corelli a little later while dh watches the boxing.

HellKat · 26/02/2006 09:56

My girlwhy next sunday!!!???

You will be well overdue by then!!

twocatsonthebed · 26/02/2006 19:08

Well I certainly wasn't doing anything interesting this weekend; I've spent most of it on the road doing the Somerset to Cambridge round trip for a friend's 40th (such are the penalties of downshifting out of London...) and now I am exhausted.

Nicola, glad you're feeling a bit better, and hello everyone else, hope you've had a more relaxing weekend.

going4potty · 26/02/2006 21:11

Hello all, mygirl you are really good not testing for a week when your on cycle day 27 and i meant every word, you guys really helped me when i needed it most. HK thanks for the welcome, im feeling a lot better 2day, although still only able to eat strongly flavoured food. Two cats hope the party was worth the effort and hi to anyone else lurking. Well have had a lovely day, took ds to sealife centre with dh and mil and had a great time eventhough it is a little overpriced. Then had a scrumy lunch out, mixed bean and pumpkin casserole with crusty bread, yummy. Then had some guests over, so very busy! My mil is feeling a bit lonely lately, so were trying to include her in more of our activities, but she gets a bit worried about cost. Obviously dh is more than happy to help out when poss, but i think she feels shes imposing. Its a shame for her really cause we dont mind, but shes allways been a little wierd with somethings e.g at xmas she wouldnt ask her youngest ds what he was doing for lunch incase he felt obliged to see her??? Anyhow was a lovely day, shame im back to work tomorrow. Also incase i havent mentioned dh is starting new job tomorrow, hes a little nervous so after ive finished typing im of to relax him a little . Well everyone have a lovely evening and good luck ttc.

Coathanger · 27/02/2006 08:12

Piffle how are you at the moment best of luck for your scan on Thurs x

How is everyone?

xxxx to all

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 09:33

Oinker - my cycles have been around 42days, 38 days, 34 days. I thought this one might be shorter but was gonna wait til CD34 esp when it seemed I ov'd a bit later this cycle.

2cats - Hope you enjoyed the party and that you didn't fell obliged to do anything you didn't want to.

G4P - tell me to stop poking my nose in your business, but was wondering why your MIL is feeling lonely?
Which job did DH get? Hope it's a good one!

Coathanger - hows college going you've not mentioned it lately (other than coming or going). Hope you are still enjoying it.

Morning everyone else. I've not done owt interesting this wkend. Popped round to see the next door neighbour cos her huband was took to hospital on Sat, but they're both fine.
I'm really tempted to test in a couple of days but it's prob way too early, but you know how the urge gets so until the wkend I'm on knicker watch!

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 09:35

Nikki- crossed posts.
Oh dear, glad they've moved the scan forward and it is a shame DH can't be there but needs must. Have you got anyone else who could come with you?

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 09:42

yeah my mum mygirl so I won't be alone but its just he hasn't been to any of the scans over the past months and he wanted to come to this one. never mind though.

Decided that when this is over I am going to chill for a while whilst looking for a job and losing weight, get hair done and go out and have a bit of fun! The past 5 months I have been pg for all but about 4-6 wks and its been alot of sadness so think its time for a well earnt break and some fun.

lol at your "knicker watch" term best of luck!

HellKat · 27/02/2006 09:45

Morning all.
Nikki- {{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}. Great plan though. That's exactly what I said to myself I'd do if this pg had'nt worked out.
How's evryone?

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 09:52

Nikki - glad you'll not be alone 2moro, will be thinking of you. Good plan but don't be too harsh on yourself or put too much pressure on yourself to lose weight etc. You do deserve some fun and good times, I think life owes you them.

Smole · 27/02/2006 10:30

Morning everyone. Will be thinking of you tomorrow Nikki.

oinker - Will be having my first consultantion privately on 7th March as he couldn't see me for months otherwise. After that I'll revert back to the NHS.

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 11:26

thanks smole best of luck at the hospital with the investigations.

good news is DH can come with me, he has just text, he has to go straight back to work but at least he can come which I am so pleased about.

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 14:19

Nikki- I'm glad DH an go with you 2moro, good news.

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 14:44

me too, he hasn't seen a scan not even with the birth of his daughter. I think it may help him understand whats going on when he see's things on the scan screen rather than me tell him, also he can then go through being told whats happening by the mw/drs etc.

muppet3 · 27/02/2006 17:42

Hiya mad ladies - just dropping in to check you weren't mightily offended Smile

Well, af over, so BDing recommencing. Weird af (sorry if tmi - but few clotty bits, then nothing much more, and over inside 2 days). Hmm. Never mind - trying to ignore things and stop being quite so stressed (and obsessed). Am concentrating on being the eBay queen instead.

Nikki - thinking of you tomorrow morning, my dear. big sympathy hug

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 19:41

Nikki - again I'm so glad DH can be there and understand things better.
Muppet - we can be obbsessive and eBay queens together. I am on CD27 and doing obsessive knicker checking cos not testing til Sun! I only discovered eBay a few months ago and have got DH obsessed with it too!

Well I may be offline for a whie cos I've broke the computer - we can't click on links or something so DH re-formatting the computer sometime soon (when he gets hold of a copy of Windows).

twocatsonthebed · 27/02/2006 19:46

'ello,

Nikki - really glad dh can come with you tomorrow - for you as well as him. Hope it's as ok as it can be under the circumstances - will be thinking of you tomorrow morning. And I definitely agree with your plan - I try to think of one positive thing I can do practically each time I get AF, as then at least there is an alternative.

Muppet - are you buying or selling on eBay and what? We went through a mad phase of it before we moved - sold hundreds of pounds worth of dh's CDs and bought lots of random stuff, but I've now lost the urge, and there's a whole box of stuff in the garage 'for eBay' that's been waiting for months. So if anyone wants a 1960s breadbin, I'm your girl...

And yes, the party was almost worth four hours in the car each way, but only because it was a very old friend...Now I'm back at work and feeling a bit shell-shocked at the start of the week. And there's a minestrone that needs cooking downstairs too.

Nicola63 · 27/02/2006 19:55

Hi there
Nikki, lots of hugs for you for tomorrow, its much better that at least your hubby will be there.

I have decided to use this time to healthy up my life: whatever the results of the tests and whatever happens it can't hurt to lose a bit of weight and get more healthy. Have ordered a seed sprouter (used to have one but it's one of the things I lost out on in my divorce a few years ago, weird hey?) and some seeds to sprout, and will be eating more veg and less choc (that's the theory anyway). I pretty much gave up drinking as a new years resolution (after horrendously bad behaviour while drunk at new year), and so that's already a good thing! I certainly feel better for that.

Have discussed with hubby that we will have to be careful not avoid conception until things are more sorted out, and we have a game plan.

I felt sad this morning (a week since I Found out I was miscarrying) but being busy at work got me through.

Here's to a healthy 2006, whatever happens (lifts glass of carrot juice). (Just kidding, I will have a glass of wine tonight!)..
Nicola

going4potty · 27/02/2006 21:42

Hello all, nikki good luck tomorrow, glad dh can be there with you too. Smole hope all goes well with your investigations, keep chilled Smile . My girl my mil is lonely as shes single (apart from on off relationship with married man whom both her children dislike a lot!) Shes lost her own mum just over 15 months ago, whom she spent a lot of time with, every saturday morning and sunday afternoon plus two or more visits during weekdays and she had a big bust up with her two close friends ! Plus her work collegues are bullying/ being generally nasty to her! So shes found a new job, and were spending alot more time with her. Sorry that was so long winded.
