Hey All!
Im currently on CD 20 so around 8-10 days until the AF arrives or I can test :D Just thought there may be some others that are waiting and driving themselves crazy! Thought we could hopefully share our BFP within the next few weeks, and keep each other sane! :D

oh ladies, it's so nice to know that it's not just me that is obsessed with this!!

ifrustrated CD19?, that's a record!! you made me laugh!

I am holding out for the morning pee.

With other pregnancies I've only ever tested quite late, just circumstance, so have no idea whether it would show up early.

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 16:29

Same here lostboys I tested about a week after AF was due with ds because I didn't have the time to sit around obsessing about it I just waited to see if AF turned up, it didn't do I casually tested within the next few days. I must've been about 5 weeks.
Sooooo different this time!

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 17:11

I feel a bit sick and dizzy again. I've had it nearly every eve for the past few days.

Come on tomo morning!

kalidasa · 31/01/2012 18:31

Hello everyone. I've only been lurking for a while as I had a v. early miscarriage (4w5d) a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure what was going to happen this cycle. (Actually it looks like being fairly normal now, though it took nearly two weeks for my temperature to drop back to the usual level.) Anyway, I haven't ovulated yet so not yet on the 2ww.

Just wanted to contribute to the 'how often' discussion. 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' says you should aim for every day when you know you're fertile (i.e. when you see fertile quality cervical fluid) and only drop to every other day if you know there's an issue with low male fertility/sperm count.

There seems to be quite mixed advice though generally I trust the TCOYF book as it's been pretty reliable in most things.

ifrustrated · 31/01/2012 18:33

Lost boys Blush

Do you think there is still hope for me this month then Grin

Actually it could be cd 18-20 as I spotted a lot on the wed/thurs but heavy bleeding by the Friday so not really sure what day to go by?

I got strong dark +'s on opk on both tues and wed last week so not even to sure when I ov, if it was not till the thurs I am only 5 dpo!

cakesareyummy · 31/01/2012 18:54

AF arrived. Dead on time! Off to get a glass of Wine! Good luck to you all. I'll go and join a bus/shuttle.

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 19:15

kalidasa I aim for every 2-3 days. You can't miss OV if you do it that way and the sperm quality is better.

cake sorry AF got to you :( have lots of wine and choc.

bettybat · 31/01/2012 19:48

Congratulations on all the BFPs Grin

I too have no idea if I've OV'd or not...I'm still confused about Saturday's much darker line on the test but my reading it as not absolutely dark - oh god, I've never felt such indecision or lack of confidence in my life. I thought it would be towards the end of this week - maybe the 1st or 2nd. But between the dark control line on Saturday and waking up about to be sick on Sunday morning, I'm lost.

Laura - maybe the combination of changing cycle length and longer month has had something to do with it?

We've DTD six days straight from Wednesday, now y'all are saying the sperm quality is better every few days? Lord! Hahaha - oh well, all that sex has been great so you know, every cloud and all that Wink

ellesabe · 31/01/2012 20:21

Ha! Welcome kali and sorry af got you cakes

Well I have been surprisingly upbeat since my bfn this morning. I've been keeping myself v busy thanks to a thread on iabu about becoming a more organised person...highly recommended to anyone looking for a distraction during the 2ww. It has seriously motivated me to be more productive with my time instead of mning/wallowing in self-pity

ifrustrated · 31/01/2012 20:24

Everyday is nothing Betty.

We did it 4 times on the tues just to make sure Blush

We prob dredged up all the slightly barmy sperm that had never found there way out before Grin

speculationisrife · 31/01/2012 20:30

desperatehousewife So do we, like, have a POAS date then? I'll be checking in around 9.00 with results - I'm going to do the Boots cheapie. Will be amusing if I have dd hanging around - she's never seem me POAS, but she does still like to come to the loo with me!

Also, am I the only person who finds their body plays funny tricks when ttc? If I'm not pg this will be the first time in 6 months that AF isn't bang on 26 days - and this has happened to me a number of times - really regular, then ttc and period goes completely off.

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 20:35

Lol at barmy sperm!

Dh doesn't even know I've tested. The plan was to present him with a pos stick. Guess I'll tell him when I know what's going on.

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 20:38

speculation I think I'll be POAS every morning til I get either a BFP or AF!
My technique is pee in a glass and dunk the test in. I find it too tricky to hold it under me without getting it everywhere!
Ds wandered in the bathroom while I was peeing in the glass, he didn't seem fussed just asking for his milk lol.

ellesabe · 31/01/2012 20:39

My dh knows I'm testing this week at some point but doesn't know that I have already. I don't want to have to give him bad news.

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 07:37

bfn with the boots cheapie, not even a hint of a line. I'm on cd29 now surely if I was preg it would pick up something, it's not like im testing early now.
I'm really not hopeful about this month.

ellesabe · 01/02/2012 08:17

Me neither dh21 :( Boooooooo. I'm still trying to hold onto glimmer of hope...

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 08:43

It's really starting to get me down, I hate this limbo I'm in. I really don't care if AF comes I just want to know either way.

twolittlemonkeys · 01/02/2012 09:35

Sorry about your BFN, DH21 - I really know what you mean about being in limbo. I have that feeling, not only when AF fails to show on time but in general with ttc. I wish I just knew whether I was going to be successful - I'd like to sign up to be a HomeStart volunteer, and also maybe retrain to be a primary school teacher, but there's no point doing those things if I'm imminently going to be up the duff and have to pull out. Equally I don't want to waste loads of time hoping to get pregnant and miss out on opportunities because I'm holding off 'just in case'. Argh! Wish I had a crystal ball at times like this!
I am on CD28 today so going to try to hold out til Saturday before I test again :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 09:43

twolittlemonkeys it's so hard isn't it :( I guess I just thought it would be as quick this time as it was with ds.

I'm feeling crampy again, think I might get AF today.

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/02/2012 10:31

speculation any luck today?

lostboysfallin · 01/02/2012 11:34

no bfp here, but just realised the tests I have aren't even early ones. I'm only on day 24!
I'm going from thinking AF is imminent with achey tummy, to no pain at all.
It is doing my head in
DH21 and Ellesbabe, it's not over yet, but i know how you feel.

If nothing happens this month, I'm giving us a month off next month, then we are on holiday, and then IVF planned.
You spend the first week with AF, the second week checking for ovulation and then the last two weeks just waiting for any sign. It's hell.

I am currently peeing in the lid of DH's shaving foam, he doesn't know this!
I once peed in the lid of an avent bottle, we were on holiday, and I left the bathroom to get the test and DS thought he would taste it! yuk!!
I've been doing this for 3 years, how depressing.

bettybat · 01/02/2012 12:23

Really sorry to hear about the BFPs :(

So far today I've cried three times over NOTHING, and almost stormed out of work in a rage. This is not like me. This feels like the worst PMT ever, and it AF is not even due for 16 or 17 days. WTF.

Snowbeetle · 01/02/2012 12:25

ahhhhh lostboysfallin - for 3 years and you're still sane??!!

So.... Desp sorry you didn't get better news this morning. It is horrid how you get toyed with. My mind is my enemy - I convince myself its gonna happen then it hasn't and I'm like a bonkers yoyo!

Thank god for mn and things like this:
We prob dredged up all the slightly barmy sperm that had never found there way out before

Which had me psml never mind poas. Grin Grin Thanks ifrustrated

speculationisrife · 01/02/2012 12:41

Hi all - Desperate, ditto you - BFN this morning with Boots cheapie, day 28, still no AF... But don't give up yet - as I said, on day 30 of 28-30-day cycle with First Response and I had a false neg with dd, so it may still be our month.

lostboys Sad. Three years - that's very tough. Lol at your DS drinking the wee, and not telling your DH about the shaving foam lid, though.

bettybat IME ttc gives you constant pmt! Gosh, that string of acronyms sounds like gobbledygook!

bettybat · 01/02/2012 12:59

Speculationsisrife - is that because sperm is evil and causes general evilness in the vessel (me)?

Feeling crazily hormonal today. I have cried over broken crisps, internal bars on windows and not being able to get comfortable in my chair.
