Does anyone know about hotel prices in central London? Not for this weekend coming, but DH and I are going to see a show in a few weeks and we want to make a weekend of it. MIL has told us about the Royal College of Surgeons "hotel" and I have just been looking at their website. They do a special offer of two nights at £55 a night at weekends is that good? Rooms are clean and nice although basic, but no different really to a Travel lodge or similar. What do you all reckon?

Coathanger · 14/01/2006 11:32

Oh, and PS. Bleeding has stopped altogether. Even when I do a, ahem number 2.

peachygirl · 14/01/2006 12:24

Hi I just popped in to say there is an article in the Saturday Times magazine about a woman (Janine Di Giovanni) who has several MCs and her experiences with treatments she now has a little boy.
I don't know if any of you would want to read stuff like this but it is quite interesting

Coathanger · 14/01/2006 14:08

Thanks for that Peachgirl I will deffo look into that and I'm sure everyone else will be interested too.

Coathanger · 14/01/2006 14:48

Mygirl, hun, you're not mucking me about. I would love to meet your kids but on the other hand if you are able to have a day out on your own with DH, then thats great too And the hotel info was just so you know you can stay in London very cheaply! xxx

Have some thing to run past you all as well...

I was very naughty yesterday and I did a test. It is way too early so not sure why I did it. I am on CD28 today, but didn't OV til CD 20 at the earliest. But the slight bleeding I had a few days ago seems to have stopped altogether. As for the last few months I have been having 24 day cycles - bleeding for over 2 weeks and having a week off - I'm thinking something is going on. Either my cycles is mucking about again, or ...
Anyway I did this test and at first glance it said BFN, which is expected considering I am only about 8dpo. However, on second inspection, I thought I could see something trying to appear. Nothing you could see without really scrutenising the test (I know this is wrong as a BFP should be read easily) but, I don't know, I just had a feeling....

SO, what do you reckon? Am I being crazy and neuritic?

going4potty · 15/01/2006 11:03

ch hi, my girl glad ur not offended it was a compliment,ch your not crazy just hopeful

Coathanger · 15/01/2006 11:05

G4P - I might be neuritic eh? Rather than Neurotic!!!!! hehe!!

Coathanger · 15/01/2006 11:40

Don't ya just hate the last day od your cycle!! CD28 and running to loo every 2 minutes just to check!!

Mygirl - I dreamt a week or so ago I got a BFP! Weird!! Anyway, not getting hopes up too high, coz they only get dashed, and I have a lot to think about at the moment so don't want emotions getting in the way! But we will get a better picture on Tuesday.

UCAS application form all complete, paid for and sent this morning! So hopefully will get a date in the spring for an interview at the uni! oo-er! nerve wracking!!

kreamkrackers · 15/01/2006 12:27

hello everone. ch have you got another test? if so i'd do one tomorrow morning. i didn't drink much the night before i did my test so my pee was extra strong! anyways, i'd deffo test again as i could only see my pregnancy test with dd as being a positive when put next to the window! i really hope it is a positive, please get back on mn as soon as you have done the next test to let us all know.

Coathanger · 15/01/2006 12:35

KK - pmsl! I'm never away from MN!! hehe!! I'd be hard pushed not to come back and tell you al the outcome!! Planning on doing a test on Tuesday, as I don't have one here, and I want to give it til at least 10dpo. But I promise as soon as I know a result, I will tell you all, good or bad.

BTW, what is the most sensitive test on the high street? Is it First Response?

FirstNikki · 15/01/2006 12:44

Morning all,

CH fingers crosed for you, try and test in a couple of days or with a diff test with your short cycles it may be too early to get a correct reading?? and good luck with ucas

G4P hope af doesn' last too long

Enjoy the rest of your weekend all and have a good meet up next weekend...wish I could come but maybe next time.

kreamkrackers · 15/01/2006 12:48

i used first response this time and it worked for me, i got bfp on fri and af should have been here today. i collected my sample first then dipped the stick into it, lovely!

Coathanger · 15/01/2006 13:03

KK, at "dipping". I used First Response last time I had a BFP (unfortunately the PG I MCed ) There was a bit of a story behind my last BFP though. I missed my AF on the SUnday, but thought nothing of it, just waited for her to arrive late. By the following Friday I was testing. I used a cheap Superdrugs own brand. I got a BFN but couldn't help think it was wrong. I asked my friend if she still had a few hospital tests at home (a friend of hers is a family planning nurse and she always hsa some freebies in stock!!) so she gave me one and there was the faintest line, I was the only one able to see it. I showed another friend and she couldn't make it out, but I just knew! I got some First Response tests and by the following Sunday (a week after AF was due) I had a good BFP on one of those. As I said though unfortunately I MCed .

Coathanger · 15/01/2006 13:04

Sorry forgot to add, I had the same feeling about the test I did yesterday as I didnthat BFN I had with last PG. I just knew!

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 15/01/2006 13:08

good luck coathanger best of luck, everything crossed for you.
