Ok ladies, here we go a nice new thread for us to share our fears and smiles on.

Lets keep smiling and positive, and make sure that this is a Happy year for everyone.

Life is far too short to waste, and after such a rough year for most of us last year, lets make 2006 an extra special one x x x

lets hope you are on a 38 dayer then you still have time

Coathanger · 13/01/2006 13:55

WAKEY WAKEY LADIES

Where are you all? I come back from my friends and you have all gone quiet! Whats wrong??

muppet3 · 13/01/2006 13:57

Can I re-appear after a long gap? I'd thought i was doing fine with this ttc lark since late November m/c, until I found myself sitting in the loos at work bawling my eyes out yesterday There wasn't even a specific trigger, I just suddenly felt tired, and then it was like jumping back to the dark days immediately after it happend and it all came gushing out. Felt like such an idiot.

I think it's this long cycle that's getting me down. I was always a 28 day person, but I had a missed miscarriage, immediate D&C, then a fairly normal period a week later ... and now I'm on CD40. I know it can take a while for your body to re-start, but I hate this waiting. Not least as I've had PMT every day for the last 2 weeks now. Sick and tired of feeling exhausted, and sore, and grumpy.

Having said all that - HK and jane313 you have all my sympathy, and I'm sending virtual hugs. Some friends will seem supportive, and some will just seem pretty rude, but at least you can rely on the amazing girls on here

Yeah great, except DS3 slapped her neice (who she looks after on Friday) rond the face He hasn't done anything like that for ages and ages. So we promtly left! So embarrasing! I think DS was tired and irritable, although it is inexcusable, but neice had eaten his sandwich and I think the peed him off a little! But never the less how awful!

Hello again Muppet3! Was wondering if you are eating better now, because of course as you know that can course problems with periods.
TTCing gets you down doesn't it and its made no better by irregular AFs - she's a rotten old witch.

FirstNikki · 13/01/2006 14:20

Muppet3 so sorry you feeling down waiting for af to arrive, and its perfectly normal have a cry in the loo too, time will ease the hurt of the mc and I hope your af arrives soon and do appreciate how frustating the waiting game is

CH - oops on DS3..fancy her eating his sandwich though

mygirl nice compromise of dh you get lie in - ah

muppet3 · 13/01/2006 14:58

Thank you. I feel like a bit of a fraud being home 'sick' today, but dh insisted I just stay in bed this morning. I think he has a point, that working flat out has left me fairly run-down anyway, and when I'm tired other stuff just gets the better of me so much more easily. In some ways, losing myself in work is good for forgetting things. Not a great all-round solution though is it?

Thanks for remembering Coathanger. The wake-up call on here (who said "no food, no baby"? cause that hit home in a good way) was good, and I managed some really good meals over Christmas. And since then, normal - except for moments like yesterday when I couldn't eat lunch for crying.

On the plus side, everyone else seems to be dieting, and for once I'm thinner than I was before Christmas. Come on - you've got to allow me black humour

Coathanger · 13/01/2006 15:03

Well I can personally arrange for some of my "fat" to be parcelled up and sent direct to your door - and I will do it for free!! hehe!! lol!! Really though I'm glad you managed to get back to near normal. It just strucka chord when you mentioned AF staying away. IS ther any chance....y'know....you could be? I mean have you BDed this month?

muppet3 · 13/01/2006 15:09

Only most days

I did a test a week ago today and got BFN. I'll test again tomorrow morning. I'm limiting it to once a week, but I am basically planning on keeping going on that basis until af arrives or I get a good result.

Not sure how it will work on a boat though. Don't get mad at me people, but we have this fantastic holiday next week, on a yacht in the Caribbean. We'd planned it as our last big getaway pre-baby, although it's turned into more of a much-needed break from everything at home. Desperately hoping af doesn't show up with rotten timing.

Coathanger · 13/01/2006 15:10

But haven't you just been to Rome? You lucky lady

muppet3 · 13/01/2006 15:15

Well, that was our final 'romantic Christmas' - that's different honest!!! We've never been this extravagant before, but after doing sums and planning how our finances will work when I give up work (hopefully ...), we suddenly realised that we either do stuff like this now, or wait til we're 50

Cheapy summer holiday coming up after this lot, nevertheless.

Quite nervous about the boating thing actually. Not that keen on bikinis, plus not much in the way of, um, washing and hygiene facilities ifkwim. That sounds like I'm being a total wuss, but given recent m/c experiences, I'm a bit wary tbh.

Anyway, a few of you will be meeting up for the meal while I'm gone, won't you? Hope you all have a great time. It would be so local to me normally - I live 10 minutes walk from Leicester Square. Are you all travelling far? Any other London people?

diddle · 13/01/2006 16:12

muppet muppet muppet, - i am highly jealous of your rather lavish escapades. Wish i'd fit in your suitcase.

It is totally normal to have high and low days, luckily you will be at a stage where the good are more often. If you feel like you need to cry, then go for it, it alwasy helps me, and it sounds like you needed a relaxing day, enjoy.
