Ok ladies, here we go a nice new thread for us to share our fears and smiles on.

Lets keep smiling and positive, and make sure that this is a Happy year for everyone.

Life is far too short to waste, and after such a rough year for most of us last year, lets make 2006 an extra special one x x x

first response is the one on the adverts (couldn't remember the name). i'll go looking for one later today as i can't switch off now to hoping i'm pg. keep getting twinges in my stomach which i don't usually get until af arrives (but again it might all be in my head!).

Coathanger · 10/01/2006 11:21

KK - First Response is advertised to give a result 4 days before AF is due, but Clearblue claims the same. But it depends on when you OVed and it does state on the packaging that the earlier you test the less reliable the result. I vow from this day on never to test before my Af due day. (pmsl yeah right! like thats ever gonna happen!!)

carly82 · 10/01/2006 12:31

CH wish i could share your willpower
Am going to see another house today so if this is the one we might get a moving in date (fingers crossed!!!) will be renting so it should be pretty much immediate if it is an empty property am packing up my things bit by bit so it womt be much of a shock when we do come to moving!

going4potty · 10/01/2006 13:14

Hi, very brief post from work, patients waiting (grin) . KK welcome , will talk more later if dh has borrowed a laptop from work . Hope your all ok, hopefully chat tonite. Dh has assesment, presentation and interview next wednesday then i assume he will find out results after that. Bit worrying really as it may mean i have to leave a job i love to do a better paid, but not as nice job. But needs must and im just hoping it doesnt come to that. Well goto go bye

Coathanger · 10/01/2006 14:44

What do you do for a living G4P??

Goodluck with the house Carly {grin} Remember, the house for you is out there!

jane313 · 10/01/2006 16:08

re cheap ov kits. I got some from ebay, can't remember which site and they were not very reliable and quite confusing to read. I compared them one day with a clearblue digital one and you would not have know it was a +ve. That said I got the hormone surge and clearblue +ve one month that I was also having blood tests. These said I wasn't ovulating. You can get the surge in the middle of the months but that doesn't reliably confirm ovulation.

Thanks for all your messages, it will take me a while to learn all your names. Hellkat, 4 m/c thats really though. A couple of friends went throught that and it was heartbreaking just to watch let alone experience.

Went to the drs and she has made an appointment at the Epu for a scan as so far I have only had old brown blood (and pain). But its become more red this pm so am not holding out any hope. Its frustrating to have this scan as I know when I go back to the consultant I'll have to pay for another private one. I managed to cry all over a mother waiting for my son at his playgroup. She was very sweet though. Then to stress me out further the playgroup leader said she had kept my ds in all of their outside play time as he was so naughty this am. Felt very sorry for him as he is just getting over a chest infection and is very bad tempered because of it. Don't really know how it handle it if it happens again as hes only 2 1/2!

HellKat · 10/01/2006 16:14

Jane- Yep it was tough but one thing that gets me through (apart from here) is thinking however bad things get, there's always someone far worse off. You're allowed to have a good cry hun, it's fantastic you're able to let go. I hope they get you an appointment soon, the waiting must be agony.
Thoughts & hugs with you xxxx
P.s Hope little ds feels better soon.

going4potty · 10/01/2006 16:20

Evening ladies and how are we today on this wet and miserable day!

Got to tell you that I had someone famous in today-I was shaking with shock but managed to keep calm until he had gone. Obviously I can't say who him and his mate were but told them I would look forward to seeing their show on the TV. My printer ran out of paper so had to go in the back office to get some so said who was in-next thing I saw one of the girls rearranging leaflets near my desk-how obvious is that?

Back down to earth girl!

KreamKrackers-welcome to the thread hun-hope you get a BFP. I am an Ebay obsessive too for PG testing sticks. ((xx))

G4-hope the jobs situation sorts itself out. ((xx))

Coathanger-you will make an excellent midwife-stick with it. Good on you for sticking to your diet/healthy eating ((xx))

jane-how are you feeling now, sorry to hear your day has not been too good. Hope DS is better soon. My DD is 2 1/2 and is dreadful at nursery when she is ill so last time I kept her at home.((xx))

HellKat-still about your news. ((xx))

Hello and hugs to everyone else. Got to get tea on. Someone left a punnet of strawberries at work so I stuffed them down along with lots of fruit gums so quite full actually. Have bought a pair of maternity jeans from Blooming Marvellous so I can wear my new Cat Boots but although they are size short they are still about 4 inches too long.

Byee for now

Take care

xxx

diddle · 10/01/2006 18:22

have any of you seen this horrific news story??

baby rape

OP posts:
Coathanger · 10/01/2006 18:33

God that is awful! How on earth ....I can't begin to imagine....why? I am so shocked. I can't really comprehend this. I mean why? WHY? He deserves to be hung. I mean they know he did it 100% - they had photos - so they should string him up in front of the mothers of the baby and the young girl and televise it!!

HellKat · 10/01/2006 19:19

at that story!
God I swear, let me at them. Put him in a prison with no bloody special treatment and let the inmates have a field day with his perverted, sorry ass! So, so many things i'd love to do to people like that. Punishment should fit the crime so how about tying him down and raping him with something the size of a watermelon. Even then it would'nt be enough. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Bad news here girls. Started bleeding quite heavily (old in colour but alot), very crampy period pains so not holding out much hope. So glad we did'nt tell anyone and get our hopes up. hey ho we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Still thinking about that story. Shudders
Have a good night all. be back in the morning. Off for a lie down xxxxxx

Charlee · 10/01/2006 19:21

Morning ladies, well i suppose evening for you! lol. I have woken uo feeling very very sick, af due tomorrow no signs yet. hope alls well in ttc land.

kreamkrackers · 10/01/2006 19:32

that story makes me feel sick. it was bad enough hearing about the three year old last week but this takes it to the limit. i don't know how anyone can do such a horrible thing. they should be tortured to death for what they did.

hellkat i'm thinking about you. hope you're alright.
