awwww bless your little DS.

Did you buy any nice shoes?

diddle · 04/01/2006 14:05

G4P - glad my Cat finally arrived. Mumsnet head office must be on a go slow.
Blees, kids say the funniest things don't they. I shoudl write a book of them. One of the little ones i ahve came upto me waving his thumb at me, asking if it was a thumb or a finger because Child A had said it was a finger. Bless him, he's only 3, looked so innocent, and couldn't understand why i was grinning at him so much

We're doing thank you cards for xmas pressies today.

Did the doctor sort our your little one G4P?

going4potty · 04/01/2006 14:11

Yes, he has a fungal infection, which explains why the sudocrem was useless. I met a work colleague while food shopping and she was really great, so felt better about going back monday. Not that they havent been good sending me messages flowers, telephoning etc. But you worry dont you? Also as i said quite a lot of manual handling and stressed out patients to deal with and at the mo anything sets me of

FirstNikki · 04/01/2006 14:13

Bless your DS and yes they say the funniest things and can embarrass you at a drop of a hat. has the dr fixed DS?

mums - boots test good idea particularly for men who are stubborn and say ..."its not me"

FirstNikki · 04/01/2006 14:14

sorry crossed posts G4P..glad DS will get sorted now.

with ref to work, take each day as it comes if it gets too much go for a break

diddle · 04/01/2006 14:15

G4P - i foudn myself pretending i was ok to a lot of people, i put a brave face on to all the kids parents, saying i was fine. Then would crumble once they had gone. Working did keep me occupied though which was a good way of getting through the days. I think if i hadn't gone back to work i could ahve easily stayed in bed for weeks and just sobbed. We have no children of our own yet, so we didn't have anyone to keep us on ours toes like you do.
I'm sure you will be fine once you get back to work, it will all settle down. Its very good that they have kept in touch with you, that will definitly help, rather than having had no contact with anyone.

going4potty · 04/01/2006 14:17

I keep getting AF type symptoms ie mood swings (according to dh) Back and tummy crmpetc but no af, so that prob not helping

going4potty · 04/01/2006 14:20

Well ds certainly keeps me on my toes. Hes just finished riding on his digger and is now attempting to brush my hair with his plastic broom.

No problem G4P. Will do it further North next time

going4potty · 04/01/2006 16:37

Quick question can anyone think of any quick cook veggies that can be grated and hidden in food apart from:
Courgettes
carrots
cauliflour
tomatoes
Ive already tried the above succesfully

Coathanger · 04/01/2006 16:46

G4P - mix sweet pot with normal potatoes. Or butternut squash

diddle · 04/01/2006 16:48

spuds?

FirstNikki · 04/01/2006 16:49

he he he G4P you are doing it again with their dinners..... swede and parsnip?

going4potty · 04/01/2006 16:50

Thanks ch, ive already contemplated that as love both of those, but i need something that i can disguise in bakes, pasta dishes , mince that type of thing. As i said DS and DH are reluctant veggie eaters. Im terrible i usually put other veg at the side of their plates as red herrings lol. Also a miracle may occur and they may eat i anyway.
