How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Hi all, I'm afraid I am also down in the dumps with it all as well! I know its not over til the witch arrives but have gone from feeling very 'pg' - clearly imagining sore boobs, exhaustion etc to having definite AF pains today, AF due Friday which will be CD40, cycles have been getting one day longer each time so last time AF arrived CD39 and I know if she doesn't turn up tomorrow I'll be thinking - oooo?? only to then be gutted on Friday! Grrrr! We tell ourselves not to think about it but we can't help it can we!

Oh well, on the assumption that AF is indeed in the post I am going to get a CBFM, in fact might just check out Amazon now - do they come with any sticks or do you have to get those separately?

Well I'm out, can someone stick me back at the bottom, af due 12th December according to my app so just going to swi manically and see what happens, feeling a bit sorry for myself knowing we weren't even trying at the right time this month and family nonsense going on in the background but onwards and upwards. Lovely peaceful day at home today getting a bit of a break from things and about to have a jacket potato and chili for lunch on my lovely comfy sofa with the fire on, can't be all bad!

Have a bit of a weird question for you.. Is it normal to not get CM or anything other that just a bit of added you know that. I have never had creamy, or really stretchy.. CM. If I fall off the flight this month I am definately getting a CBM, before a ding one whole year of TTC

and in the half hour since my last post, AF arrived.

egg definitely!! i always get loads of creamy CM and nothing else!! So am relieved this month that it seems to all be going to plan! But it does not mean anything bad; i am still ov'ing (albeit when my body feels like it!) but have never had much in the way of CM hence why i use pre-seed!!! :)

Seriously contemplating getting some ov tests, can't remotely afford a cbfm. Wondering if I will just get more obsessed though, not sure how they work really, does anyone know much about them?

:o each to their own moo! I do think if I'd seen it before studying it I might have enjoyed it. Thanks for the commiserations, maybe we will all be moving onto a pg thread next month, fingers crossed I guess!

I use ov sticks, basically you pee on them at the same time every day (sometimes twice to make sure that you have covered all bases!) and when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line then you will be ov'ing in the next 12-24 hours (i think!). It is best to test after 10:00am and before 8:00pm (although I have tested as late as 10:00pm and it's been fine) but don't use FMU as LH takes a while to become present. Also make sure you don't drink anything for at least 2 hours before!! Once done, I then write what CD i am on and the time and leave them next to my bed so that i can cross match them and see if the line is actually getting any darker! :)

oh no - sorry to hear about all the AFs :( am very annoyed for you.

deafworm I tried using ov sticks but found comparing lines annoying and holding pee annoying. you can get 2nd hand monitors on ebay and if your cycle is around 30 days it should only cost you about £12 a month on sticks.... but i do get that it's an additional cost... though it's a drop in the ocean of bringing up kids

maisie I started a thread for those new to CBFM - I'll post on it now so it goes up on the conception board, then you newbies can join. (not that i'd ever desert this thread don't-you-know!!)

egg I don't think there is any normal with CM. I have a lot less since coming off the pill but i think in theory i should be having more...

Amazon or some of the pharmacy websites are the cheapest. I got mine from a pharmacy site as they did free next day delivery.

Sorry to those getting there AF this week. Have some red wine and pate for me. I have a feeling that the next 11-13 days are going to crawl by. Hate this part of this part of the month. It turns into a big waiting game.

Berries the de-stressing went fine thanks! It consisted of getting into bed at 6pm to read, waking up at 8pm, grazing off leftovers in the fridge with a glass of wine and watching the frankly terrible (but strangely enjoyable) Trouble in Paradise on the tv. Sorry to spoil it for anyone but the murderer had disposed of his wife's body by turning her into a skeleton that he then displayed in her classroom. Mounting a skeleton is a highly specialised job and stretched the limits of my credulity but a clever conceit I suppose.

We haven't managed to DTD since Monday morning as DP was away Monday night and got in at 11.30pm last night. He's here today but not again tomorrow night which is peeing me off slightly as I had put in the week I needed him to be around in the calendar. Oh well. I shall use him cruelly tonight and then again tomorrow morning and hope that will do until the weekend.

Rusulka you really are a bargain hunter! My friends were getting rid of their cot, and I really didn't want it in the house on the grounds of tempting fate, but it's up there in the loft now. I try not to think about it. I'm not superstitious about anything else, not sure why I am about this!

Festie I don't want to depress you but last cycle when a cold caused ovulation to stop in its tracks, it took 17 days from when I had geared up to ovulate to the time I actually did. There was no AF in the middle, so it was definitely the same cycle, just a never-ending one!

Loulou, enjoy your new mac! I'm guessing it's the computer type, not the coat type!

Berries I'm testing around the 16th and with willpower might be able to hold off till the 19th (am going to try but not sure how likely it will be as I have a load of internet cheapies looking at me!)

Sorry so many seem to be having a rough time atm but am seriously impressed at the ttc dedication shown.

Well boobs are properly sore today. Went on the treadmill which is usually ok and really felt them. (Although this also happened every other month so not holding out much hope yet.) Am considering going back to temping next month if no joy but will see.

Evening ladies. I had a trying to forget it all evening yesterday so didn't come on and update.

Anyway, scan showed nothing lurking so not an ectopic thankfully. They treated it really seriously - I was scanned by a consultant. I had the joy of the dildocam which was actually really sore as I was all tender. Hospital thinks early miscarriage, basically if that sort of bleeding / pain is a one off then that's what it was, if it keeps happening then it marked a change in my periods. Despite the fact that I don't really want to have had a miscarriage I hope it is the former as I can't be knocked out like that every month.

My cautery, etc will be rescheduled, probably next month. DH has agreed to put TTC on hold until the other side of it, so we'll be SWI again in the new year. He has a greater sense of urgency about the whole thing as he has this wierd idea he should have DC2 before he's 40, which isn't going to happen now. So I'm going to enjoy Christmas boozing and then get cracking. I will be back to join you all then, so when someone next updates the list either take me off or put me in the 'in abeyance' category.

Festie hope things get better for you. When I had my scan with DS it turned out I had oved on CD19.

Morning everyone. It seems the mood is a little low again in here :(

I have an awfully stressful time at work at the moment, hopefully to be eased by next Tuesday. Have therefore not really been in the mood to SWI. I also ran out of CBFM sticks so haven't been doing that properly this month. Therefore, I'm almost certainly out this time I'm afraid.

oggy sorry that work is a bit stressful for you; i know how you feel, I have an assessment coming up at the beginning of Decemeber that I am revising for at the moment in my spare time, and trying to juggle that together with an ever increasing workload is starting to get me down!!!

On a positive note, temps seem to be behaving (where I have not been ill or had a drink!) but still no smiley face which is a little annoying; really can't handle another 77 day cycle!!!

Can't wait to see some more BFPs on here soon!!!
