How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Oh loulou sorry for BFN and imminent hag whore arrival, but as you said, at least you can enjoy a few guilt free drinks over the Xmas break without having to worry about whether you are causing any harm!! So pleased you have talked everything through with DF and that you are plodding on regardless!!

Well just got off the phone with the surgery - results are in doc has marked on that no further action is required, so not really sure what that means, obviously there was nothing worrying on there, which is a good sign, so will just have to wait for the Gynaecologist appointment in the New Year and get on with some SWI and SWOI in the meantime so fingers crossed I get ov'ing and up duffed before that happens

oh moo that is great news that there are no problems but i can see why you feel a bit "lost". Have a wine to make yourself feel better.

Having terrible cramps but my AF isn't due for a week. My body is weird. Anyone else have unpredicted cramps, belly ache, boob ache. Maybe I'm having psychological symptoms every month. Bah.

Ordered some more CBFM sticks. All we're going to do this month is SWI a lot when I get high and peak readings and whenever we feel like it the rest of the time. If it'll be, it'll be. Really looking forward to finishing work on Friday and having a lovely two weeks off now - this past four months SWI, new job and studying have really knackered me out :(

Egg I have often had AF type cramps well in advance of the hag whore arriving (although I do have IBS as well and the pain can sometimes be similar!)

Great news moowoo, can understand why in a weird way you would want them to find something so they can say here is a pill that will fix everything, but at least you have no major problems. Hope you are pg before the next appointment.

egg I usually have cramps, moodiness and sore boobs a few days before AF and get short cramps around OV.

I'm counting down to Friday too (although the inlaws are turning up Friday eve for the weekend). Worked out that if Af arrives on time I will be ov'ing around the 29th dec, so time to de stress before lots of SWI and a Sept baby - perfect (although if I am pg now I won't complain!!)

Lil - we got a SWI in! It was funny, I kept falling asleep (before the SWI, I hasten to add), but because DH had taken a LBP and I am fertile, made myself wake up, and kind of went through the motions, IYSWIM - terrible isn't it?! Still, lots of spermys in the right place at the right time!

Bet you're counting down, Lil - defnitely starting to feel Christmassy now!

Moo - sure you're relieved that there was nothing drastic to be seen, but still no closer to answers which must be frustrating!

festie and lil - yes good to know that there is nothing too serious, but yes, very frustrating that I still don't appear to be ov'ing! Dtd last night anyway, just in case my body makes it's mind up!!! Was sure there was a tiny amount of EWCM - but my body is acting strange, when my CP is fertile my CM is creamy; when my body seems to be producing signs of fertile CM my CP seems to do the exact opposite!! Can never seem to get the 2 to align, which is most annoying!! Have now taken an alternative approach to SWI EOD in that I am now SWI'ing when my temp dips (as it did yesterday) rose slightly today but I can put my money on it dipping again tomorrow!

Am going to make Xmassy goodies tonight; mince pies, chutney, marmalade and pate (if i can find any sodding livers anywhere!) - some lovely Xmas tunes on and let the kitchen carnage commence!! Finding it hard to get through the last week of work!!!

Ooh, just been doing my chart, and it def looks as if I've ov-ed early this month. So AF will be due Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, which is great timing; either a Christmas BFP or a licence to get really pissed and eat loads of pate and soft cheeses!!!

Should really be doing some work but I am quietly obsessing over TTC what i should be doing for Xmas!! Wrote my Xmas cards last night listening to some christmassy tunes and have cracked open the christmas jigsaw!!!

I'm using the CBFM now, first cycle, on CD8 and I had a high reading... very strange... considering I have such long cycles... ah well, we'll see, we dtd, and I said to DH to gear up,, cause I might have loads of high readings this month

Hi Blue! That is early for a high reading... how long are your cycles on average? I guess you could have a very long LP but that does seem unusual. Or maybe your cycles are getting shorter? I think the combination of hormones that the CBFM tests makes it unlikely that it gets the peak wrong... but I suppose that's possible too. Hmm - anyone else have any idea - guru moowoo?!

Reading back and seeing you said high and not peak that could be more normal... I think some people have a fair few highs before a peak - so it's possible you do have a longer LP and/or that your cycles are getting shorter.

Blue as loulou said, the high reading is probably more indicative that your body is starting to produce the correct type of hormones; from my limited knowledge of the CBFM, I do think that is is possible (and highly probable) that you get a fair few high days before you finally see the peak. If i was you, I would be SWI'ing EOD from now until the peak has passed and it returns to low!!! [frgin]

I've somehow been pressganged into singing in front of 700 teenagers on Friday, the day after our work Christmas party..luckily I am the designated driver so won't be too hungover! I am also attempting to make a crib but have given up for now in favour of mumsnet
