How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

FX moowoo, hope it is a def 2ww for you

festie and maisie, I'm already planning when I can POAS and I'm not in the 2ww yet! Hope you both geet some BFP, we could do with some.

festie good luck with the assessment, hopefully you will be getting 2 pieces of good news soon.

Rusulka I've been thinking about how to break the news too (far to prematurely) - with friends think I'm going to take a group photo with the traditional 'say cheese' and then 'say Lil's pregnant' and get a photo of the expressions!

Berries at least you know you're struggling, I was head in the sand, sure I was coping with everything ok, just going through a bit of a rough time and should 'sort myself out', think being aware is half the battle. Take care of youself, hope that you feel better soon and we're always here if you need us x Also get waving that preggo wand!

Disco how scary, glad it seems to be sorted, but puts your priorities/problems in persective. Hope he and you are ok.

I've just realised that I'm likely to ov when we are staying for the weekend with my sister and her boyfriend in London :( not sure we can DTD there. Will have to have some SWI before we leave and as soon as we get back!

iloveberries · 01/12/2011 06:40

Morning all! Up early today as have to go to work in a different office. SNORE

My preggo wand is ready to be waved.
(Imagine a standard wand with a large bump on it and instead of a star at the top there's a big egg, and instead of pink streamers, there are white sperm streamers.) I don't know if that is inspired or gross. hey ho, i'm waving it madly for all on this plane! (And any lurkers who are reading but not posting as AF seems to just LOVE this bus. bitch).

Thanks for the support one and all. means a lot. honestly it does.

No news here - just wanted to get waving the wand.

I have a new strategy which is to arrange something reallly nice to do the day AF is due, That way if (who am i kidding - when) she rocks up I can have something involving alcohol to look forward to.

Right, best get on with the day. ugh :(

(waving the wand wildly for you all!) xx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/12/2011 08:16

Grin madly at your wand berries brilliant idea!

No 2ww for me, temp dipped this morning........again! Fed up but plodding on!!

Have a study day today! Be glad when this is all over! Was never good at revising when I was at Uni so have no chance now Wink

Bluetinkerbell · 01/12/2011 08:38

mooley so sorry!

I'm on CD39 today... had 3 high temperatures in a row now... could this be it? :)

iloveberries · 01/12/2011 09:12

blue!!! CD39 - have you POAS????

mools BIG SQUEEZE for you. Have you got your appt dates yet?? xxxx

louloubellamozzarella · 01/12/2011 11:45

Hi everyone! Not checked in fora while (well a day and a bit!) as have been out and about.

Blue when are you testing?!? Could be the start of some good news in here again - it's overdue!

Good luck with studying moowoo - best to plit it into small chunks with plenty of breaks :) Oh and yes - if your cycles are going to continue being ridiculously long, then at least you might figure out what's up - when are your appts?

berries can I have a special intensive wave of the wand please?? Yesterday I had my first two bar (high fertility) reading on my CBFM!! That was on day 15 so hoping I get a peak ov reading tomorrow. Need to get back SWI-ing like mad again.

I feel your pain with an early start - I was on the early train to London this morning - yaaaawn. We're starting our Christmas decs tonight so I really can't wait to get back and into my cosy clothes and get into the xmas spirit

louloubellamozzarella · 01/12/2011 11:50

p.s. missed the meetup chat. I'm in the Midlands so think that's a good central point to gather Grin

Let's arrange a meetup when we're all up the duff/with babies??

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/12/2011 11:58

ooh yes loulou the meeting up sounds like a marvellous plan.

I have got my appointments soon(ish) the first one for my ultrasound is on 7 December but my gynaecologist appointment is not until 3 January hoping by some sort of miracle that I will be PG by then!!!

Fx'd for you loulou get plenty of SWI in :)

Blue teeeeeeeest!!!!! Really really sounds positive! Have crossed everything for you!! Hoping you get good news and this thread gets a well deserved lift :)

Rusulka · 01/12/2011 13:38

oh Blue! Test test test test [waving pompoms emoticon]
How have you not tested?

I love this thread. Forgetting all about my own misery (and sandpapered hands) and getting hyped up on everyone else's behalf. Whoop!

Moo you'll be fine. As loulou says, break it up into bitesize chunks. Either way, by the time you come home tomorrow, it'll be done. Second whoop!

Berries, I'm loving the wand, esp. sperm streamers. Can I get those for my bike handlebars, do you think? Fingers crossed for high reading tomorrow! Third whoop!

The re-decorating is going well, apart from when I chipped off a load of old plaster that had been slopped up the bottom of the wall and skirting boards, only to find it was hiding a massive gap in said wall all along tops of skirting . Oh noes! Now I need to replaster again! Hope I've got enough plaster repair, don't want to go buy another sodding bucket of the stuff. They'll think I'm eating it or something...

Bluetinkerbell · 01/12/2011 15:26

big Grin at all the excitement! I have long cycles! :( My cycles are min 37, max 44 days... so I will wait a bit longer not to have the disappointment of negative tests Wink I did test at the weekend which was negative! But then I always test negative at the beginning of my pregnancies... I do need to test before beginning of January cause that is when my test expires Wink

mooley could it be that FF missed my ov this month? This is my chart

My friend said she dreamt that I was pregnant and that I will know before Xmas... really hope so!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/12/2011 16:21

blue I would say that you may have ov'd in the 3 days where you didn't mark down a temp, hence why no crosshairs as FF can't accurately pinpoint. Other than that, CD34 is looking good as a potential ov day!! In this sort of situation, and I know it's easier said than done, I would hold off testing until at least the day AF is due!!

Damn revision is driving me mad, sooooo tempted to pop down the pub for a pint before dinner!!! Grin

iloveberries · 01/12/2011 18:14

no news but just popping in to wave my spermy wand (eugh, sounds like a bit of a gross euphamism)!!!!!

you girls know what i mean....

bring hot sex and conception to you all in the SWI phase at the mo. (but not baby dust as that phrase makes me want to vom.)

Bluetinkerbell · 01/12/2011 18:21

ooh let's hope dtd on CD30, 31, 32 and 35 did the job then Wink

how long would you say I would need high temperatures before doing a test?

good luck revising mooley

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/12/2011 18:52

I reckon you need at least 14 days, they do suggest 18 days of high temps can be a very good indication of pg!!!

Thanks blue i have spent 2 months revising for a half hour assessment Shock if i pass will be worth it, if i fail it's a good learning experience as I will know what to do for the next time!!

Discolite · 01/12/2011 20:52

Well done on all the revising Mooley, as long as you know that you've done everything you can then that's all anyone can ask really!

Berries your wand sounds a bit alarming but I wouldn't mind a wave in my direction...I am tempted to start doing fertility dances in my bedroom to get the right aura in the room Grin

Blue let's hope the temperatures stay up!

Festie hearts are indeed scary things but hopefully the hearts of our darlings have been mended. He's mostly upset because he is a rather furry man and all the ecg stickers they've been putting on him and ripping off have been really giving him a taste of what waxing is like!

Thanks everyone else for your nice words, I think he is going to be ok (touches wood) and luckily my fertile period isn't for another two weeks, so it hasn't even meant we've missed out this cycle. I will go quite easy on him though, don't want to break him!

festiemum · 02/12/2011 06:47

Ha ha disco - I remember very clearly that feeling of not wanting to break dh after his op! :o
I have sympathy for his ECG stickers too. Dh ended up covered in nasty sticky marks. In the end, his cardiac nurse gave the brilliant suggestion of using nail varnish remover to get it off, and that did the trick.

Well, I've had another epic day today, think I may have pissed the gods off or something. Dd, my 2yo has had a couple of asthmatic episodes recently, and today had a particularly nasty one resulting in an ambulance ride and 10 hours at Derriford hospital! Shock

Only been back an hour, all the kids are crashed out, and 2yo has another regime of medication to follow, poor little bugger.

Wow! Typed this at half 12 last night and must have fallen asleep without hitting post! Dd is still breathless this morning, but is on a regime of 4 hourly 10puffs of ventolin, and she's breathing a bit easier now that's kicking in. Makes a right bloody fuss about taking it though! Hmm

I am usually a logical person, but at the moment I wonder what I have done to deserve the shower of shit the fates are dumping on me! Shock

louloubellamozzarella · 02/12/2011 09:59

Hi all

I'll have another wave of the wierd but undouby lucky spermy wand please berries

festiemum · 02/12/2011 10:24

Happy SWI loulou! I have decided after an inauspicious start that December is going to be a good month for me goddammit!

mooley good luck with your assessment today, sure you'll feel better once it's done!

My chart has done something interesting this morning. 7dpo and I've had a massive dip below the cover line! Could it be the fabled implantation dip?! Only time will tell.... FX that temp shoots back up tomorrow.

Off up to cribbs causeway with my besties tomorrow for a day of festive shopping - can't wait! Xmas Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/12/2011 11:29

Well bad news follow by bad news! Failed my assessment was sooooo much tougher than I expected and some of the questions were way above my level of experience!! Also, my bloody temp dropped yet again!! DH has sent me an article about a 30p pill that can help getting pg! I say don't send me articles, send me the pills!!

Oh festie I do hope so!! Fx'd it goes right back up tomorrow!!!

loulou great news about the ov sign!! Get SWIing :)

Rusulka · 02/12/2011 11:34

Good luck today Moo!

Oh Festie... it never rains but it pours, right? Hope she feels better soon.

Loulou the sanding bit (whole floor, eep!) just got a lot more exciting with this morning's purchase of a JCB belt sander! Vroom! Guess what I'll be doing all day? (and then wiping it all off the walls again, grumble grumble).

What else...

Hmm. Ah, this weekend I'll hopefully be putting up Christmas decorations, or at least getting them out. Said I wouldn't 'til the room was finished, but it's DH's weekend off, so would be a shame not to let him participate although he'll only do it wrong and I'll move all the baubles when he's at work
Although I do have to rearrange ALL the living room furniture to fit the monstrosity of a tree in- what on earth possessed us to get one with a 3m circumference at the bottom?!?!?

Oh, and there's a Dickens festival in Rochester, so FiL wants to take us along. Think there's a Christmas market in the castle too, but can't remember if that's this weekend or another.

FX for elevated temps, Blue

louloubellamozzarella · 02/12/2011 12:34

Rusulka the sander sounds amazing. Love powertools!

Xmas market sounds good. Feels nice that things are getting festive Xmas Smile

moowoo, sorry about your result :( Did they tell you what you need to improve on for next time? At least if you have feedback you'll know how far off the mark you were which is always helpful as you'll feel less out of your depth when you try again.

festie December HAS to be a good month for you by the power of karma, you really are owed some of the good stuff.

Oh and moowoo what is this wonder pill??!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/12/2011 14:42

Rusulka is it a little wrong that the thought of power tools makes me go a little weak at the knees!?! Xmas Wink

loulou i was basically borderline, but some of the questions that they asked were a little ridiculous, even my panel member (he was there to just observe and fight my corner) said that he would not have been able to answer them!!! Link below for the super pill:

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2068908/Could-simple-pill-costing-30p-day-answer-getting-pregnant.html

louloubellamozzarella · 02/12/2011 15:08

Ah so it's just vitamins and minerals then! Gotta love the Daily Mail's super(fluous) reporting! I wonder if that particular study was sponsored by the company that makes Pregnacare?!

Bluetinkerbell · 02/12/2011 15:58

had a little temperature dip... :( could it be implantation dip? last cycle I had a huge temp dip and half an hour after that AF gushed out (sorry TMI) but no AF so far...
Felt a little sick this morning... If I ov'd when you think I did mooley I should be 6DPO...

Rusulka · 02/12/2011 17:31

Whoops! Moo I must have cross-posted. Sorry it didn't go so well. Sounds like they made half of it up though. :S

Power tools also make me go a little weak at the knees, it's not just you. Xmas Blush
Floor not going as well as hoped. The lemon yellow paint (!) festooning it is unfortunately gloss, and icking up my sanding belts summat chronic. Going to order a shitload off Amazon, and clag them up as sacrifical strips. Also thinking of getting a heat gun (Heat gun! Swoon...) as whenever I put the sander down after a bout the paint practically comes up with the heat.

Power tool spree!

I also ordered a diddly sander that looks like an iron, except that one actually does come with sodding gloss paint sheets. Grrar.

Blue that sounds like an implantation dip to me! FX!
