How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

You can set CBFM up to day 5 so save your £ and order from amazon, or there are some pharmacy sites which are same price as amazon and send next day for free - google CBFM cheap prices and the comparisons should come up...

I cheered myself up last night by reading through a load of old MN threads about what symptoms people had before finding out they were pregnant. It seems anything goes, so all my current AF symptoms could just as easily be pregnancy symptoms. It made me realise there is always hope until the fat lady shows her ugly red face, and even then there is always next month!

Well, I'm feeling pissed off like a lot of you! AF appeared this morning after a ridiculous SIX days of spotting. I'm just trying to make myself better by thinking that at least:

a) I won't have an August baby (although I wouldn't have said no to one, believe you me!).

b) I have wine and chocolate.

c) I have a doctor's appointment on Monday about said spotting so now have a full five cycles of data to wave under his nose.

So Dee and Signet I know how you are feeling (crampy and crabby most likely).

Berries your boss sounds like a right twat. If I were you I'd start keeping a diary of comments like that as evidence in case that sort of unpleasantness escalates.

Liliana glad the classroom survived intact! I share mine with ooh, around ten different teachers all of whom seem to have a very different idea to me of what constitutes a tidy room. It can be pretty annoying.

Festie maybe the teeth constitute your third thing in the whole 'bad luck comes in threes' idea. So good luck from now on for you, I reckon!

disco - i feel so peed off on your behalf. BUT I would totally agree with your feeling good it's not an august baby (even though none of us would say no to one!!!!) and also get stuck in to the wine and chocs.... basically whatever will make you feel better love.

i've been drinking very little for 5 months now and it's had no effect so i am back to my usual wine levels now. I figure this getting pregnant thing is total fluke so just go for it on the right days and hope.

disco and kitchen you are right a lot of what he says to me is totally unnacceptable. I have actually noted lots of it down and the last meeting i had other people were there too so i have people who can vouch for me. It's just such a miserable time at the moment.

Hanging out with all the pregnant ladies was ok today..... it's always nice actually, i just dread it in advance.

Quite right berries enjoy your wine. It's only bad if you drink lots and often so the odd bottle glass or two is fine for you - just relax and enjoy :)

Oh and what your boss said is utterly bastardly and illegal. Part time workers should be treated the same as f/t ones. Even the fact that your work has changed that much does not reflect well on your employers! Agree with disco - I think you should keep a log of that kind of comment in case you need some evidence to go back to in the future.

Oh festie!! At least you know you def ov'd and remember the spermies can live for up to 5 days in fertile conditions!! As oggy proved to us it only takes one time am also crossing everything hard for you (even my legs now ) that you will very soon be moving boards :)

Yeah, talking to people about boss has made me realise what a total arsed he is so I am planning to really try and do something about it in the new year. Been upset about work all weekend and keep randomly crying and that's not right I know. The good thing is that by crossing the line so far he's actually given me some good ammo. Twat.

Thanks for all the sympathy for AF. She doesn't seem to be quite here yet after all. I had something in between spotting and light flow of mainly brown but some fresh blood (sorry, TMI) yesterday morning but nothing since. I got all excited last night after googling "implantation bleeding" and finding that lots of people experience implantation as being quite a bit of bleeding including fresh blood. I had some fresh spotting this afternoon though so am back to thinking the game's over. I had the same thing last month too but it didn't start so early - 7dpo this month. Anyway, so much for not obsessing. I've been going to the loo non-stop all day to check the status of things and have spent way too much time online googling implantation bleeding. Why can't I just wait and rely on the fact that time will tell? Answer: because I'd quite like to get sozzled tonight if AF is here .

Discolite when did your spotting start? Was it six days before you were expecting AF or has AF come late? Did you go through all this "is it or is it not implantation bleeding" or do you have more sense than me?

Berries sorry to hear that your boss is such an asshole. Good advice from others that you should keep notes of everything that's said and the way your role has changed. Good to keep a note of dates too. That way you are fully armed if he makes trouble when you get back from maternity leave after the baby that you're TTC now. Thanks for your advice on the CBFM. We bought one through an online chemist and it arrived today but we were out so it's gone to the depot and I'll collect it Monday now I know that I can start anywhere up to CD5.

Moowoo I'm so sorry to hear about your possible PCOS. Sounds like you've ov'd this month though so fx the egg and spermies get together and do their thang (you can tell I didn't study biology at school!).

Evening all!! Thanks for all the positivity!! Really hope I ov and we crack it this month! Just got 3 appointments!! One for my gynaecologist appointment, one for my smear test and one for my ultrasound! Unfortunately for some reason my ultrasound went to the inlaws house (we used to live there for a bit) even though I have changed Drs and all other correspondence comes to my current address!! After the MiL seeing our preseed the other week tongues definitely will be wagging over this! Worse still, DH's dad is a GP and has already been asking DH questions!

Dee I'm not that clued up about implantation spotting (having never had it or cause to spend hours googling which I would if I thought I had it!) hope it is as seems v early for af spotting. Did you have a few last night? I'm sure it would be ok even if it is implantation :)

lil temps dropped back down this morning, i just don't get it! CM seems to have all but dried up as well (mainly sticky with hints of cream!) I am just getting to the point where i can no longer be bothered with the whole thing; there is clearly no point if I am not ov'ing and with long cycles I just don't have the energy to SWI EOD for the duration!!

Plus I am sinking fast under a mound of paperwork and I have an assessment on Friday and I think it has all just finally got on top of me!

I need to snap out of it and stop being so self indulgent and obsessed! Maybe a step back from MN for a while might help me sort my head out

Oh mooley, I'm so sorry your body's playing silly buggers. It must be so dispiriting to SWI EOD religiously over such long cycles, only to find no egg has been released. I can't imagine how depressing that must be.

Still, you are one step closer to getting some answers and treatment. I know exploratory appointments won't solve the problem, but perhaps they will make you feel like something's happening.
