How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Hi festie, sending my love to you and hope things get better for you. Out of practice with the charting but I think this month you may have odd readings due to stress. It does look like you have ov'd but you never know, I'm still hoping you get a very well deserved BFP soon.

Loulou you're very brave, I'm v wary shit scared of injections so not sure I could have acupuncture. Am looking to book a massage to help destress and relax though.

Keep positive moowoo, you never know you might get a lovely surprise

kitchen this is just the place for a whinge, we've all done it and sometimes it just helps to get it off your chest.

Have a good day all, I've been out of class so much this week I'm not sure the children will recognise me! Hoping they haven't been too wild with the supply Hmm

festiemum · 24/11/2011 07:44

Thanks Liliana. Thanks I know what it's like going back in after a supply (was a teacher before DCs) Hope the place isn't trashed and there's not too much aftermath to deal with!

Rusulka · 24/11/2011 12:28

Oh!

I went to have a turtle
But couldn't see a thing
I stuck both hands right up in there
It scratched and made it sting

So I moved onto temping
They went up down up down
And didn't make any bloody sense
So it also made me frown

So then I tried POAOS
But the lines weren't dark enough
So now I'm right back at square one
With my hands back up my m**f

Oh!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/11/2011 14:31

Grin Grin Grin Grin @ Rusulka! Loving that poem!!!

Rusulka · 24/11/2011 14:35

In a mischievous mood, Moo. :)

SiL taking me for a mooch round the shops soon, so no more spending all DH's money on eBay being bored to tears this afternoon. Yay!

This 2WW is d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g...

Notinmykitchen · 24/11/2011 19:39

Like the poem Rusulka very apt! When are you thinking of testing?

Festie fingers crossed you haven't ov'd yet and this will be your month, you must be due for some good news!

Liliana was your classroom still standing? Are you striking next week?

How was everyone else's day? Mine didn't start particularly well, my dog had a stroke overnight and had to be put down this morning. She was 14 and not in great health so sort of expected but it was very sad. As far as TTC is concerned, feeling a lot better about things today, what will be will be!

festiemum · 24/11/2011 19:56

Oh Notmy I'm so sorry to hear that. As a lifetime owner of dogs, I know how devastating that can be. Our old lady is also 14, and you know it's a matter of time. Big un-mumsnet like hugs to you tonight! xx

Countmyblessings · 24/11/2011 20:06

sending out loads of - Hugs, hugs and more hugs!
Festie- so glad that yesterday went well, and i know it so hard to know what to do but the best thing is you care and will make the right choice, the stress of it all must be so hard, ttc at this point and not getting in any swi is not a shock at all.
Focus on the future and your family well being, is there other family member who can share the load with???
Moowoo- so sorry for the temp dip and no closer to knowing when and if you oved yet?
lili - i hope your class was in ermm 1 piece when you returned!!!!!they better get use to it with your soon to have BFP!!!!!
Rus- loving the poem - mad me giggle! sorry for the 2 ww so long!
soo sorry for your dog - Kitchen! hugs to u xxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/11/2011 21:29

festie I would see what your temps do in the morning, if another high one then I'd assume you ov'd, possibly on CD10.

kitchen so sorry to hear about your dog, hope you're doing ok :)

Am gonna give it some SWI action tonight! CP high soft and open!!!

festiemum · 24/11/2011 21:43

Thanks so much Mooley - I think you're right. If I did ov on CD10 then we dtd 3 days before, so it's still just about possible! :)

That said, my CM and CP aren't really adding up, and I'm very slippery and my CP is high, so I'll get one in tonight just in case!

Good luck tonight - hope we're both ov-ing despite our individual 'issues'!

Rusulka I loved your poem, made me roar with laughter!

Hope Liliana turns up soon, hate to think of her classroom all wrecked!

Cheers all! :)

louloubellamozzarella · 24/11/2011 22:02

Oh FRICK I just wrote a long message then I got booted out GRRR

Anyways in summary...

Rusulka LOVE your poem, what a talent! Nice rhyme scheme :)

kitchen sorry about your doggy :( - hope you're taking it easy tonight.

festie glad you got through the day ok and that your mum is still being well looked after.

liliana the lady who did my act said she gets lots of people who are scared of needles so it's not impossible :) Massage sounds good though, I could really do with one of those too. If you really wanna avoid needles you could try reflexology - it works with similar pressure points with the same/similar ideas as acupuncture I think.

I've decided we are due some good luck after the bad things that have been happening of late for us all. Karma owes us BIG TIME and it's high time we had the BFPs, prescriptions, good times at work, massages, chocolate, etc, etc to show for it!

That is all Brew

Rusulka · 24/11/2011 22:28

Kitchen, so sorry about your dog. Brew Thanks

AF due around 30/11 so no point testing until around then. Not going to test unless I'm late though. Too horrible seeing that lonely line on the stick!

Not so much a poem as the mindless ramblings of a bored housewife!
Been home now since half term, must get on with doing up house until the agency finds me more work.
Must...not...buy...chandeliers...!

festiemum · 25/11/2011 05:30

:o at chandeliers!

Well I'm up at stupid o'clock thanks to demon toddler, so had to adjust my temp using one of those temp adjusters (are they accurate, do you think?).

FF has put ov in at CD10 - with dashed crosshairs - my other signs don't point to ov at all. So who knows? One single ray of hope however - there are over 200 pregnancy charts who only dtd 3 days prior to ov, so there's always hope!!

Having 2 teeth out today, including a front one unfortunately, so I'm having a partial denture fitted. Who says nice things don't happen to me?!

Sorry, that was supposed to be a joke - I feel like I'm an utter harbinger of doom! Hopefully while I'm having cruddy luck, someone else is spared!

I keep wondering if I could get away with rocking the pirate look! I couldn't

festiemum · 25/11/2011 05:39

Also; looking on the bright side - I ov-ed this month!!!! :o

First time since the m/c - good news!!!!

[firmly looking on the bright side emoticon]

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/11/2011 05:50

Fantastic news festie

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/11/2011 07:13

well i have just been for my routine turtle, and my CP is high, soft and closed! I am a little excited! Could this mean that I have ovualted??? Hmm

I suppose only time will tell, but in the last 2 cycles my CP has only ever been noticeably closed twice (once at the beginning of my current cycle and now!)

Sorry for the self indulgence so early, like us all, I am just sooooooo desperate to be pg and ov'ing is the first step, especially with my condition, if i can do it naturally i will be as pleased as punch!!

should be revising......argh!!!!!!!! Too worked up about my bodily functions to concentrate on bloody defects in concrete!!!! Grin

Rusulka you are being very strong, well done!! I know what you mean about seeing that solitary line, can get really depressing after a while!! I have not POAS in a long time, might do so in a couple of weeks, just for fun (i have got 50 of the little blighters!!)

festie hope all is successful at the dentists today and that your mum is well on the road to recovery.

Liliana1 · 25/11/2011 07:40

Hi everyone, I've finally made my way out of the wreakage!! (Actually classroom wasn't too bad but I'm not sure what the children did all day apart from the reports of my class 'running out of the room like London rioters' as one member of staff put it Hmm) Had parents eve last night as well so a looong day.

Kitchen, our school is closed to the children on Wed, not sure about striking, will feel bad if I don't but can't really afford the time off atm...
So sorry to hear about your dog. Hope you are ok.

Rusilka I have great envy of anyone who can write poetry and loved yours, thanks for the smile. Also well done with the restraint on both the POAS and the lack of chandeliers!!

festie glad you are able to look on the bright side, at least you are owned a few years of good luck after everything you've been through.

moowoo fx for your ov, I wish I could wave a magic wand for you.

loulou reflexology sounds like a good option, might have to look into that. Let us know how the needles go, if it's amazing it might be time to get over my aversion.

Liliana1 · 25/11/2011 07:40

Apologies, obviously that was supposed to be Rusulka

Liliana1 · 25/11/2011 07:41

and owed, not owned

Liliana1 · 25/11/2011 07:42

I give up Blush

iloveberries · 25/11/2011 08:09

festie "rocking the pirate look" - that made me chuckle!

well i had a horrendous day yesterday. We have a new senior boss and he's a total arse. Has already told me he "doesn't believe in part time work" (which i do) and he doesn't want me on the team as it's very hard for him to work with part time people. I HATE HIM and I HATE MY JOB. I used to love work but since going part time i've had all my responsibility taken away and basically do admin (but at least on my old wage!). The plan was obviously for me to get pg again and that would be a way out but it is just not happening.
Anyway, we had an almighty run in yesterday and still today i feel like crap. Just can't snap out of it....

Meeting pregnant friend this morning and her DS (with my DS) and supposed to be seeing other pregnant friend and her DS this afternoon. Pregnant friend 1 whines about being 'fat' all the time... I always say "haha, you're not fat love, just preggo" but i feel like just saying "well you'll just have to work out hard once baby's born" if she goes on today. And pregnant friend 2 whinge constantly about feeling sick, tired, it being such hard work with an 18 mnth old and a bump.

God, I'm in a right sorry state this morning girls. Sorry :( Just feeling a bit rubbish.... and have this horrible feeling it's not going to be my 'turn' for a while :(

iloveberries · 25/11/2011 08:10

p.s. rusulka - you're a poetic genius :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/11/2011 08:25

oh berries so sorry that you have an arse of a boss!!! I bet it's a man as well!! They are so insensitive!!! Gosh, we are all going through rough times at the moment!! And i know what you mean about pg friends moaning all the time - I would kill to be pg and, although I can't hand on heart promise it, I will try my hardest to just enjoy the pg and not moan at all!! Some people are just not as understanding of the difficulties others have in TTC!! I have a friend who is constantly moaning about clothes not fitting etc etc and I feel like telling her you knew that you would get bigger the further into the pg, if you didn't want your clothes to not fit, you should have used contraception, you didn't, so deal with it! I know, I know, not very sensitive but it just makes me so angry! Angry

festiemum · 25/11/2011 09:25

Boo to insensitive friends berries and to shitty bosses. I wish I could wave a magic wand and we'd all have our BFPs. I particularly want to wave a wand for you mooley, at least to get you ov-ing! Though I'm glad you're in the system now, I know how frustrating it is waiting while you jump through all the required hoops before you get treatment. I hope it's sorted out relatively quickly for you.

Glad the aftermath wasn't too bad liliana! Big boo to Parents' Evenings though; I definitely don't miss those!

Hope everyone's having a good day.Personally, I'm looking forward to it being over! Roll on the weekend, eh?! :o

DeeLite · 25/11/2011 09:30

Hello everyone. I've been busy trying not to obsess this month so haven't been on here at all. It hasn't helped and AF arrived today just seven days after ovulation Sad. DH wants to rush to Boots to buy a CBFM. I would rather buy one on Amazon with next day delivery as we'll still save £30 against the Boots price. Will tomorrow (CD2) be too late? I am at work now so this is just a quick one. Will catch up propertly later. Thanks
