How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Countmyblessings · 20/11/2011 00:00

First morning urine! its suppose to be the best way to test! all crossed for u x

oggy24 · 20/11/2011 08:11

Ooo mooley that does sound promising!

egg I would definitely test again in a few days. I didn't get a BFP until 14dpo.

Speaking of which, I used a CBdigi with conception indicator. Came up with 2-3 week po which works out right. DH wanted to be 'sure' so I did another this morning, again with FMU and it came up 1-2 weeks. This has already got me worrying. The leaflet thingy says its best not to test 2 days in a row as the hcg levels fluctuate. I will wait another 5 days if no AF and do another just to put my mind at rest.

I do have a sense of 'what will be, will be' but all of this has concreted even more just how much DH and I want this. Before we were all very casual and 'relaxed' (IRL obviously, not on here!). But now we are excited and don't want the let down :(

I come from a family of tradesmen. DH made me laugh this morning when he said "If it doesn't work out this time, I'll just knock up some more mix". Heh.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/11/2011 09:17

Grin at your DH oggy although I'm sure everything will be fine! If you are concerned it might be worth making an appointment with your GP but as you say, in the early stages hcg can fluctuate somewhat!!

Well dtd last night, tried to envisage the spermies frantically fighting their way to my Fallopian tubes but, alas, temp has dipped even lower this morning so still no sign of ov!! Means another long cycle to look forward to plus have really bad cramps, not sure what that's all about! Going to work out potential new AF date and update stats when I get to the computer!!

Roll on Tuesday so I can speak to the doc and finally get to the bottom
of this!!!

Sorry for all the stats updates, but my cycles are so wobbly at the moment that i don't know whether i am coming or going! Think I had more EWCM this morning, so if I ov today then AF would be due around 1st Dec (it's definitely not going to be due on 27th Nov as I first thought :() however, depending on what my ovaries decide to do this could be another 57 day cycle, making AF due Xmas day or a whopping 77 day cycle, pushing AF due date to 14th Jan!! Shock

MaternalMusings · 20/11/2011 14:09

Hello all, thought I'd join this thread as I found out yesterday that we're expecting our first!

By calculations it looks like I'm just over 4 weeks, so will be expecting towards the end of July!

We're absolutely ecstatic- it's going to be tough keeping it to ourselves that's for sure!

Congratulations to you all too! x

Maisie55 · 20/11/2011 16:16

oggy thats brilliant news!! congatulations! am so excited to hear of some more BFP's, it does give me hope!

Discolite · 20/11/2011 16:47

Congratulations Oggy! Try not to worry, easier said than done though I know! I think you can allow yourself to relax a tiny bit now.

MaternalMusings, also good news! Congratulations.

Mooley, good luck for the doctors but I hope that the visualisation works and the investigations aren't needed :)

Egg, I hope that AF stays away - it's tempting to do a sort of anti-AF dance isn't it?!

I'm feeling a bit down today. I'm 7dpo and have had pale brown cm yesterday and today. Everytime in the past I've got excited and thought it was implantation bleeding it's turned out I wasn't pregnant. I've just looked over my charts and the data so far looks like this:
June - spotting at 10,11,12 dpo with AF arriving at 13dpo
July - spotting at 5,6,7,9,10 dpo, AF 11 dpo
Aug - spotting 8,9,10,12,13 dpo with AF 14 dpo
Sept/Oct - relatively normal (!) spotting 9,10 with AF 11dpo

Looking at all that evidence it doesn't seem normal to me and I'm worried that I have low progesterone levels or something. I started taking 100mg of vit B6 daily in August but it doesn't seem to have had the desired effect of stopping the early spotting and lengthening the luteal phase.

Has anyone got any ideas or advice? Is this amount of spotting normal?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/11/2011 16:55

Disco do you know the length of your luteal phase? I'm wondering if maybe yours is on the short side! I normally get maybe 2-3 days of spotting but never more than that for AF! I am not really sure what it could be but it might be worth going to your GP to talk over your concerns!!

Discolite · 20/11/2011 17:00

Thanks for the quick response Mooley. So far (since I've been charting) they've been 12, 11, 13 and 10. So on the short side but not under 10 days which I believe is when a problem could arise. It's the spotting that worries me more. A GP trip may be in order. I'll see how this cycle pans out and then I'll have 5 cycles of evidence.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/11/2011 17:08

How long are your cycles? Your LP length does not change, only when you ov, can be different, so if your LP is 11 days it will always be 11 days!!

Discolite · 20/11/2011 17:31

My LP changes! I know it is unusual and that most people's LP stays the same but I'm getting definite temperature shifts each month indicating ovulation but varying LPs. I'm definitely starting to think I should go and see the GP...my cycle lengths since coming off the pill have been 42, 41, 37, 33, 30 and 49 (delayed ov caused by cold responsible for that last blip).

oggy24 · 20/11/2011 17:36

Discolite My LP changed every month too. I only have 23 day cycles so that may have something to do with it. The CBFM confirmed this. It seems that I would randomly ov when I felt like it with the cycle length staying the same. Luckily this month I got a 14 day LP whereas the month before I only had around 5 days. CBFM has been a godsend for me because of this... otherwise I was pretty much in the dark!

I guess some of us are against the general rule of the LP never changing? :s

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/11/2011 18:36

Wow!! Never knew it could randomly change! Amazing!! Could your body still be adjusting to coming off the pill Disco? It seems that they are getting shorter but just not quite there yet! Could explain the spotting!

iloveberries · 20/11/2011 18:55

hey all, i've updated the stats as AF got me (stupid fing hag whore bit). Am massively gutted and going to eat a family size bag of maltesers by way of comiseration.

no other news but no mooley i don't usually watch TV all saturday with my DS so i guess one day is quite cosy :)

Here we go again - another month.....

Someone make me feel positive please (looks for loulou, mooley, festie and count)

xx

louloubellamozzarella · 20/11/2011 19:25

Not had a chance to catch up with the weekend's messages but just popping my head in the cabin to say chin up berries!

Eat those damn maltase's and enjoy every last one!! I have half a family sized pack here myself so I might just polish them off for, like, solidarity Grin - oh and cause I'm hacked off with the goddamn witch's presence here still - day five and counting. Damn her - but remember, this might be the last you see of her for a while. At least it signals a new cycle and another chance to hit the jackpot eh.

Will catch up properly tomorrow ladies, off to see what's on telly and to relax after a busy weekend.

louloubellamozzarella · 20/11/2011 19:25

*malteasers Blush

Discolite · 20/11/2011 19:35

Oggy at least it seems that LPs doing whatever they damn well like doesn't stop you getting pregnant! I will hold onto that thought :)

Mooley you could be right about my body adjusting...came off the pill in April, wish I'd done so sooner now.

Berries that is disappointing but don't despair! Why shouldn't it be your month next month?

Darn it, why don't I have any malteasers in the house? Or come to that, anything that resembles comfort food at all?

iloveberries · 20/11/2011 19:40

thanks disco, loulou, count and mooley

you are lovely lovely people :)

if i could share my maltesers with you i surely would :) xxx

Notinmykitchen · 20/11/2011 20:35

Really sorry AF got you berries! I really fancy a bag of maltesers now, not quite enough to go out in the dark to the shop to get them though!

Disco, I have been taking B6 for a while too, I think it lengthened my luteal phase by a few hours, but that's about it. I wouldn't think the spotting would mean anything though, although it couldn't hurt to ask your GP just to reassure yourself.

Well I'm now 2 or 3 DPO now, not much to report, unless a craving for maltesers counts as a symptom?? Grin I have got slightly sore boobs, but that happens every month. I really wish someone would invent an instant pregnancy test to do away with this waiting, I'm driving myself nuts yet again!

Glimpers · 20/11/2011 20:45

berries sending some PMA your way and eating cake and ice cream to show solidarity Grin
Congrats maternal Smile and welcome aboard.

festiemum · 20/11/2011 23:08

Aw, hey berries. I lurve Malteasers! You enjoy them and don't let that hag whore get you down. You're on day one of a lovely shiny new cycle, with plenty of opportunities to SWI and catch that lovely eggy!

It's a few more of us every month getting our BFPs, so it's only a matter of time! And what a Christmas present a BFP would be, eh? So, chin up, chicken! :o

Hi all you other SWI-ers - hope you've all had good weekends. I had a night on the tiles, and I'm ready to put down the cocktails and treat my body like a temple! :o

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 21/11/2011 09:07

Morning all. Well this has been a bumpy ride. I have cramps and even a tiny bit of dark discharge (tmi) which tends to happen a few hours before AF but on Sunday it stopped and today nothing. I think it's on it's way but a girl can dream cant she? I have had a big cry yet which tends to be a sure sign the AF is coming. Maybe I will watch a Pixar movie tonight after work.. That will be the test if I don't cry.

Congrats to the BFP and all the lovely ladies on this thread. I'm getting myself a CBFM I think for xmas.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 21/11/2011 09:26

Morning all!! Well what a disastrous end to what was quite a pleasant weekend! Thought that we should dtd last night, given the temp drop, and all was going well, but all of a sudden it just became quite painful and uncomfortable, as if my whole hoo ha was rejecting his love sword and closing up, iykwim!! Does that make any sense?

Well afterwards i got quite upset and I'll be honest, DH was anything but nice, he just sort of lay there and then when i declared i was going to go to bed, he just got up and went and watch tv! Feeling very disgruntled about it all this morning!

On top of all this, I am really bloated again and my temp has rise slightly this morning and I am concerned that we have missed the boat on the one month when I might actually ov naturally!! :(

sorry for the tone this early, just needed to get it off my chest!
