How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Oh Mooley, I'm so sorry that signs are pointing to no ov; but you're in the system now, so they will be able to sort you out, I'm sure. I know people who've had Clomid to stimulate ovulation, and it's very good. My friend's sister was over 40; not ov-ing; took Clomid, and now has a healthy 2 y-o.

It's impossible not to project though. When are you seeing the Doc?!

Sad to see AF has got some of you. But I think, as Mooley says, we should stay on this flight for the duration now.... It's such a lovely supportive atmosphere!

CD6 here, so not a lot going on; waiting for my (hopefully, this month) fertile period, so we can start SWI-ing. DH off to docs this morning to try and score some more LBP, and get them put on repeat scrip so we can access them more easily! :o

festiemum · 18/11/2011 07:58

Berries - you're so right. I think we're all discovering, doing it all 'by the book' is just not sustainable. A bit of relaxation (and wine) is what's needed!

Off out myself this weekend. Up to see my brother and his gf in town. It'll be like the Beverly Hill billies hit LA! :o

louloubellamozzarella · 18/11/2011 09:23

Liliana as moowoosaid, there's no getting off - when this thread is full we'll make a new one with a general 'second half of 2012' title :)

It is really sad to see people with promising symptoms who've put in so much effort for the cause getting BFNs... however, onwards and upwards ladies!! I for one have learnt so much from you lot - combined knowledge and research really is something that can help us all. I definitely feel that only good things can come from so much support with TTC - it's not all about obsessing!

count I hear what you're saying about pressure - I guess it's a personal thing - I can see why you might need to take a step back if it's getting too much. I've put a stop to the impatientness and stressing that I had the first few cycles and now feel relaxed about TTC and better now that I know what my body is up to. What I'm trying to say is, things change, so don't be a stranger :)

moowoo as festie said, you're in the system now so on your way to getting things sorted out - I think knowing what might not be right will help you a lot and put your mind at rest (I know it would for me!) Any news on how soon you can see a doc? Remember to push for appointments where necessary - no point in worrying for any time longer than you have to.

festie, hope you get your LBP situation sorted sharpish - at least it's good timing in your cycle. You deserve a good run after an 'orrible month last cycle.

berries - enjoy your weekend shenanigans! Make sure you have a hearty glass of wine for me :) This weekend I have a few spa treatments booked (groupon bargain) with a couple of friends then lunch - bring on the end of the day already!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 10:17

Ah thanks everyone Thanks i really would be lost without you all and it's reassuring to know that we are all here for each other and offering support! It means so much!! Talked to DH about it last night, but he just doesn't really know what it feels like, yes he's concerned and anxious but he has no idea what it feels like to go through the process every month!

loulou doctor's appointment is next Tuesday, so not too long to wait!!

Festie good luck with LBP, hope you get a truck load Grin

berries sorry it was BFN but remember the hag whore is not appeared so not out of the game just yet!!

Regardless of what the results said yesterday, we dtd last night and my CP is high, soft and open so going to try and engage DH for another session tonight!! You never know, this might just be the month that I actually ov normally Grin

Countmyblessings · 18/11/2011 12:42

ahhhhh MooWoo - glad you appt aint to far and glad you are enjoying some action last nite!!!!!!!!( your hearts desire for a baby will be fulfilled)
ilove - sorry for the bfn dont be to down its coming real soon!
Lil - i agree i think we should all stick on here until bfp comes our way, im taking a backseat for a while not going but not watching it so hard, its just a tad bit upsetting when the hag turns up each month!
loulou- glad your enjoying the ttc and with no pressure thats great! im not going just not watching so hard each month, the sadness that comes over me when af turns up is too much!
Festie- hope you enjoy your weekend, dont like going out when af is in full swing, so paranoid of "leakage" hope you get a bag full of those "LBP"

still feeling a bit sicky so just having a duvet day with the sick dh and my lil boy!

Rusulka · 18/11/2011 13:18

Liliana I have IC POAOS and I'm quite happy with them. I do find that between AF and OV I have the faintest of lines, which daily gets a bit stronger, and then I have 2 days where they're quite strong (but not as strong as the control line)- this is my LH surge. After that, the strips are snow white, so I know it's gone.
I wasn't sure the first time I tried them whether that had been it, but maybe photograph the sticks so you can compare them afterwards? Either they way, you should get quite strong lines, then sod all to show it's done! I temp too, so I know I'll have 2 strong-ish lines, and low temps, then its SWI time before my temp shoots off. In theory.

Moo good that you've got some results back, at least you're getting to the bottom of it.

FF hasn't put me any crosshairs on this month, how rude. Prob because my OV dip lasted 2 days at same temp.

Didn't manage any more SWI because DH is still ill- and actually been off work, so must be serious. I felt upset, but then had an image of all these disoriented befuddled sperm swimming the wrong way and not knowing their arse from their elbow, and thought frankly we're better off without that!

I think flight-wise we need a long-haul flight with stops, like a cruise. You only need to get off if you get a BFP!
It's nice having the support and pooled knowledge to refer to, and feel like you've got 'friends' in a sense, going through what you are. Just think Moo, that reading about your results might get someone else to the doc quicker, and there must be plenty of loiterers not posting- we need to keep soldiering on together, because we make a difference! (plus it's fun hanging out with you guys) :D

Officially in 2ww, but not expecting anything.
Did wonder whether being on pre-conception vits was causing a prob, as I wasn't on them when we first thought we'd managed it... must research...

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 13:56

Oh Rusulka how lovely!! Grin yes you are all like "friends" because i feel i can really talk to you all, you will listen to anything i want to rant about and chastise me when i am being ridiculous Grin i think you should put the crosshairs in yourself, especially if you know when you ov'd!!

I am soooooo bloated!! Urgh! Feels really uncomfortable!! Does this happen around ov? Or am i just merely bloated Confused

Notinmykitchen · 18/11/2011 17:28

Hi folks,

I've been trying really hard not to obsess this month, hence not been posting on here, but I have been lurking to see what everyone has been up to. Just entered the 2ww so back to full on obsessing for a bit again. I hope no one minds me popping in and out?

Berries, I have also stopped drinking this month, well almost, I haven't had the willpower to give it up altogether. Sorry to hear it has not worked for you. There seem to be loads of stories on here at the moment about people who have given up being good and got a BFP though so it does seem the way to go. I am going to give the not drinking one more month, as I think I read somewhere that it takes a while to have an effect, will certainly be drinking again by Christmas though if no BFP!

Moowoo, sorry to hear your results weren't what you hoped, but at least now you can find out what you are dealing with and get it sorted. Fingers crossed it is something easily fixable!

Count, hope you feel better soon!

I am sure we are due for another run of BFP's very soon, fingers crossed all!

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 18/11/2011 17:45

Hi all. No AF yet but it's due tomorrow. Fingers crossed it doesn't arrive. Even though I have had bfn with the tests from amazon you reckon it's worth picking up another test for tomorrow morning? Getting hopeful again but had cramps this morning.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 18:08

egg it's always worth testing again, especially if AF is a no show! Remember, some women can be a week later before even a senstive test will pick up the hcg!! I have said it before and I will say it again, it ain't over until that hag whore appears Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 18:09

kitchen great to have you back!!! Fx'd you get to the end of the 2ww with a BFP!!

I am currently trying to revise in work, thought I would stay late and get my head down, but the bloody cleaners are ensuring that the only thing that enters my brain tonight is their idle tittle tattle!!!! Angry

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 18/11/2011 18:16

mool best quote ever! Ate maybe I will sneak a test in the morning if the AF comes at least I don't spend all of Saturday wondering

Glimpers · 18/11/2011 18:24

Evening ladies Smile
Well, have finally stopped bleeding after the weekends upset and have my PMA back Grin
festie I am on cd6 too so will keep you company!
I love being on this thread too, you all keep me sane and it's lovely being with such a nice group of ladies that are all on a journey together.
mooley have the cleaners got any good goss?? Cleaners always know everything!!
I have also decided on the chilled approach to TTC, although not sure how much I'll be able to stick to that once DH gets home next Saturday Grin
Planning on doing some Chrimbo shopping tonight on the puter, once DD is in bed, accompanied by a bottle glass of wine and CiN on tv.

festiemum · 18/11/2011 19:42

Hey Glimpers, we can be cycle buddies!! :o

Glad we've decided to keep on with this thread; it's good that we're all supporting each other. It's certainly keeping me sane, and there's good laughs on the way!!

Kitchen feel free to pop in and out! Egg- good luck with keeping that hag whore at bay!

Rusulka - FX you've ov-ed and it's just a wait now.

DH returned from Dr's with NO LBPs! He asked to have them put on repeat scrip, but neglected to request an actual prescription today, so they won't be ready till Tuesday! Hmm We're still only getting 4 at a time, but I suppose he can go back as often as he needs to! Plus we split them, so 4 tablets is actually 8 goes!! :o

Hope you're all having good wine and shopping and general relaxation! xx

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 18/11/2011 19:44

you ladies are so funny I cant stop laughing at the hag whore thing.

louloubellamozzarella · 18/11/2011 20:02

Ahh I do like catching up on messages to see what tittle tattle's been going on :)

moowoo watch out!! Don't let the cleaners see that you're on MN or everyone will know you're TTC as of next week - it's true they do know everything Grin

Hurrahhh for Fridays. I do wish I had some wine but gonna wait for tomorrow eve I think - might do first mulled wine of the year! Cups of tea and internet xmas pressie shopping for me. Might catch up with my guilty pleasure, Don't tell the bride too - loves it!!

A little quandary for anyone who's online tonight: the past three AFs (out of a total of five since stopping the pill), I've had two days of spotting before full flow arrives. Would you count this as AF or not? I have been as I'm getting cramping and general yukky period moods from the start but I've seen that some people only consider AF to have started when a constant flow arrives. Also if I count from start of spotting this puts me on a 28 day cycle for the past few months - more likely than 26 days right?! Any views/experiences would be good to hear. Brew

Countmyblessings · 18/11/2011 20:05

hiya kitchen - yeh sometimes taking the "back off" approach is good!
this thread is like cheers, friends and sex in the city all rolled into one!
"where everybody knows your name, and there always glad you came"
"I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to fall" and i'm now< whistling the theme tune to SITC!!!!!!!!!!<
Festie- ahhhhh man on the lbp's but tuesday aint to far!!!!!!! maybe nice cuddles or some exploring LOL!!!!!!!! Wink
well it was my 1st day of the "hag"im 2 whole days early, booooo so early nite for me after a nice bath i think, i dont drink so maybe ill have some haggan daz ice cream instead!
rusulka - so your waiting at the lights now hope they turn green rather then flippin red!!!!!!!
Moowoo - bloated boooooo, hope it passes soon!it doesnt happen to me when i ov but hay wot the hell do i know, without you guys help! CM watching and all that turtle prodding!!!!!!Grin
Egg - your 2 days late and im 2 days early hoping its good news for u xxxx

louloubellamozzarella · 18/11/2011 20:07

p.s. Hi again glimpers glad you're feeling better :) PMA's the best way to be!

I'm on CD 3 festie and glimp, so just a few days behind you both.

Hi to kitchen as well - good luck on the two week wait - of course you're welcome in anytime - nice to see familiar faces popping back again and again :)

louloubellamozzarella · 18/11/2011 20:08

Haha count I like the analogy. Now am humming a mash up of theme tunes... and pining after the days when Friends was the highlight of a Friday night...ahh

Countmyblessings · 18/11/2011 20:29

think its time for a stats update im off to search for it back soon!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 20:31

loulou I always count day one as the first day of full flow! I mark spotting on my chart but when my flow becomes light, medium or heavy is when I class it as hag whore!

I LOVE this thread!! You ladies are all fantastically fantastic!!

Sadly no juicy gossip as they were not speaking English!! And a little far away to see the screen thankfully!!

Hmmm muchly confused on the bloating! Has eased a little but this is the second time this week!!!

Watching Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth........love it!! Grin

Glimpers · 18/11/2011 21:05

Well, that's 90% of the Christmas shopping done. God I'm good Grin just hoping it all get delivered now Hmm
Soz if I'm missing out on replying to specifics, not that easy to MN on my phone as it doesn't let you go back and review the thread once you've started writing a reply, which then relies on my memory, at which point we're all fucked going to be disappointed Grin
festie can you not put LBP's on your Christmas list or ask for money instead of pressies, for your LBP fund? Grin all joking aside, glad you've got it sorted even if you will have to delay til Tuesday.
Have now got the Friends theme tune stuck in my head Hmm slightly better than the Toys R Us theme tune, which I've had stuck in my head since last Friday Angry
Woohoo Aunty Gok is on CiN Grin

Rusulka · 18/11/2011 21:16

Rang my mum just now to give wellness update (we're visiting tomorrow and my dad had a liver transplant in May, so we can't go near him if we're sick!) and was saying I'd been feeling dizzy- got it off DH- my sister grabbed the phone and ran off with it and whispered "maybe you should do a pregnancy test?!?" (she knows we're trying). Very trying

Bless her. Suppressing my giggles, I then explained I am all of about 2DPO, so it wouldn't have even bloody implanted yet, so I was pretty sure it wasn't that.
LOL!

If only DH hadn't been having dizzy spells, I'd have been SS by now. But, regular AF every month til now, so unlikely, hmm? Although would be just my sodding luck to find out I get to be PG and have shitty AF every month anyway!

Loulou I would count from the spotting if it were me. I tend to be the other way round, so it's all whoosh, whoosh, dribble, dribble. But as Moo says, I mark it as spotting on FF.

Now, my insurmountable task of the day: get DH off the PS2 playing LOTR Two Towers (nostalgia trip) and get him to sodding well pack his pants...

Wish me luck, ladies!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 21:44

Ooooooh good luck Rusulka Grin

Glimpers · 18/11/2011 22:21

rusulka I love your description of AF Grin
And sat here roaring at you 'getting DH to pack his sodding pants' Grin
