How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Hi Blue I am eager to hear about the CBRM because I am going to purchase one for next cycle. I know for so many days after your cycle you POAS and test it on the monitor to find your ov day

iloveberries · 16/11/2011 14:58

hey blue

this should help you decide: www.clearblue.com/uk/clearblue-fertility-monitor.php

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/11/2011 16:26

Evening everyone, sorry I have been AWOL have been out on site all day again today!!

loulou BOOOOOOOOOO HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS to AF! :( hate her!!! As for the wedding you are definitely not being selfish at all!! And I am sure your sister would understand and be supportive whatever was to happen......although I have just read now that you are thinking of having a mini break at Xmas, I don't really blame you, we are thinking of doing the same thing if not successful this cycle; New Year, New Start and all that! I too am wondering where the Xmas emoticons are Grin

Blue i have had a quick gander at your chart and it definitely looks like you are yet to ov. How long are your cycles normally? I think the stress of moving etc might be delaying ov; try and do something relaxing (easier said than done i know) over the next couple of days and see if that helps!!!

Berries so sorry that you got a BFN, but remember that it is not over until the hag whore makes an appearance and even at this juncture BFNs do often turn into BFPs; maybe give it a couple of more days and test again, i did not think that FRs we that sensitive and depending on when you implanted can determine when the hcg will start being produced! Do you chart temps?

All as was here, back a bit sore and a few twingy cramps but nothing much going on! Night off tonight so I can get on with plenty of revision!!

iloveberries · 16/11/2011 17:09

i love how you call it the HAG WHORE! :)

i do temp as well... remember we were looking for a rise this morning but instead i got another slight dip. boobs still looking tiny so i think i just have to await the HAG WHORE. i have a lot of other symptoms but in rea.ity i know she's on her way.

I like the sound of a job where you get to be 'on site'. Are there lots of muscly men to admire have scintilating intellectual conversation with? not that i look at anyone except DH

Off to pick up DS from nursery now, and will be cuddling him a little bit longer and a little bit tighter tonight at bedtime xxx

Bluetinkerbell · 16/11/2011 18:02

thanks Mooley Since I started charting, shortest 37 days, longest 44 days... long cycles :(

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/11/2011 18:29

Yes, sorry berries, totally forgot that I was helping you with the dip thing, and it was only yesterday!! All this work/revision must be affecting my brain!! Ha, if only my job was that good; surveying social housing in some very dodgy areas at the moment; outdoors all day and it's freeeeeezing, so no muscly men in sight sadly!!!!

blue i know how you feel with the long cycles, my last one was 77 days Shock and the 2 before that 57 days so i really am with you on how frustrating and annoying it can be!! I have now adopted the SWI EOD regardless of cycle length.......DH seems pretty pleased with this new system Grin

Countmyblessings · 16/11/2011 21:47

Hi all - yes its times like these that i really have to "Countmyblessings"
i have got children and so feel quite a fraud to be acting like my life is doomed if i dont, its not that serious just with the loss, it really made me admit I want another, when i say I i do mean, We as my DH nods at the idea of me being nice as i always are when pregnant! it must be the helpless stage when i cant even put my shoes on he is talking about!!!!( or shave my lady bits)Grin
loulou - i like the though of a big belly at a wedding its like the next stage! but i guess only u can answer that, i would not give it a break because that ill most be the time you do fall pregnant!!!( perfect timing) BOOOOOOO on the AF hag!
MooWoo - sorry that CBFM cant help it would of been great for you for your so "on point"with the testing!
ilove- STOP THIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin
Blue- dont understand the chart thing, boo on not having a move date do u think it will happen before christmas?
Rusulka - tell DH he will recover quicker if he gets a move on the SWi!Grin

  • feeling sligt twinges so i am thinking my AF may come early!!!!!! on and up!
Liliana1 · 16/11/2011 21:50

Boooo Hisssss loulou, hate the witch. Sorry she got you.

Having said that still no sign of her and I am normally a regular as clockwork when I get up in the morning kind of girl. However having a mental time at work and maybe the stress has put her on hold.

Sorry to hear you're going through a rough time Berries (I too am trying to escape work through Mat leave). We're here for you to rant at any time about ttc, work or anything else.

rusulka Love the image of you 'swilling' the sperm around and making them seasick! Made me laugh for the first time today. :) Wedding is a tough one but whatever you decided (or whatever happens, you don't always get a say otherwise we would all have huge baby bellies by now!) you are def not being selfish.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/11/2011 05:57

Well my temp is up and down more often than a whores knickers at the moment!! As you can probably guess i have had a rise this morning!! God knows what's going on!!!

Out and about again today so will try and pop in when I can :)

Hope one and all have a marvellous day!!

iloveberries · 17/11/2011 08:51

liliana - when is Af due? perhaps this could be it?? FX for you :)

count just because you have kids you're allowed to want more. Don?t feel guilty about that!

Mooley I?m not sure on a day by day thing how accurate temps are? I can always see the shift mid month as a trend but they are always up and down massively. CD 28 today and back up?. Refusing to get my hopes up after BFN yesterday though. Sore boobs this morning but I get that some months anyway, it?s all a bit random.

They certainly call it trying for a reason?.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/11/2011 09:11

I have just been for a turtle and I think my CM might be on the change from creamy to possivle EW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can i just ask what is what I am feeling is right? It's kind of slippery, can't say it stretches all that much, but it does stretch more than the creamy stuff I have been having! it is also kind of mixed with the creamy stuff but not, iykwim!!!

Count please do not feel like that - everyone deserves to have as many children as they would like and just because you already have DC does not mean that the difficulties of falling pg this time round make you selfish!!! Anyone TTC, whether it be their first or there 5th deserve support and kind words of encouragement! Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 17/11/2011 09:34

Thanks for your thoughts guys - glad to know I'm not being selfish - sometimes when it's just you thinking about things, stuff can get blown out of proportion, y'know?

berries I think it's gonna be sooo hard to resist SWI if/when I get a green light from the CBFM. We still might DTD then if the mood takes us but there'll be no enforced SWI, them's the rules :) - if it happens, great but equally if it doesn't then that's convenient too.
moowoo sounds like EWCM is on its way... for me it's not really mixed into the creamy stuff but it isn't clear always - it's quite 'snotty' in texture/consistency and at its peak can be stretched a couple of cms. People are different though, this could be it for you - anyway the fact it's appearing at the right time is excellent news - go forth and SWI!!

liliana and berries I too would love to escape work through mat leave. For me, it'd signal a career change anyway as I'd probably go back part time and start a second career in the course I'm doing at the moment as a start to working for myself :) Just got to secure myself a promotion asap to boost the mat pay - gosh how cold and calculating am I?!

Forgot to do CBFM AGAIN today - must do better tomorrow morning. Might place it on top of the loo seat so there is no way I can pee without it!

Discolite · 17/11/2011 10:24

Hello everyone! I'm finding it hard to keep up with all the messages, there are so many! I've had my fourth high temperature in a row so am 4dpo. Interestingly, it provides more evidence that I tend to ovulate on CD22 so at least that will make planning easier...wish it was CD14 but at least I am ovulating so I'm not going to moan. Still, another 2ww, another time when I will be fighting the lunacy. I'll test on the 26th at 13dpo if ol' AF hasn't shown up by then.

Rusulka I moved away from my home town 15 months ago and it is hard. I wish I wasn't 4 hours away from friends and family but I seem to be settling in now. Perhaps stupidly I am relying on having a baby to get me in contact with more women similar to my age (everyone I know here is 15+ years older than me).

Moowoo that new CM sounds interesting! I never get EWCM, just what FF describe as 'watery' but a change from type of CM to another signals some sort of hormonal change, surely?!

Loulou, Berries and Liliana I started out desperate to get pregnant just so I could leave work! Work has got a lot easier now (think I've settled in) but I think that sort of idea just put me under extra pressure. I'm a teacher so if I do get an August baby this cycle I'm in it for the full school year now anyway! Does any of the other teachers on this thread know if holidays are separate from maternity leave? I get the feeling that when you leave, even if that is for school holiday that that is when your leave starts. I may be wrong though.

Anyway, I'm on my late start day (11.30-5pm) so had better go and get ready.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/11/2011 10:30

well just got my blood test results - have to go back to the dr, my LH and testosterone were high!! Does this point towards PCOS???? Bit concerned!!

louloubellamozzarella · 17/11/2011 10:40

Hurrah for blood results! Hope you get answers soon moowoo

Countmyblessings · 17/11/2011 11:53

Thanks for the support and kind words guys - alas i think im def out this month! Dh was hunting and got more then he expected, he flew in the shower so quickly i felt so bad as was not expecting Af until next week!!!!! so double bad flippin luck!
Dh will never trust me again!!!!!!!! and will most prob need prove it safe next time so close to my Af dates! so expecting the AF hag to come full force later on, sore throat so feeling sick all other - GREAT thing just get better and better right!
MooWoo - i do hope the B.R give you some answers to body???? dont do guess Work, make the GP explain.
Disco- getting pregnant so you can escape work sounds great to me too!
Loulou- pee on those sticks!!!!!!! they need you too! i guess if it was PS it wouldnt be that hard!
liliana - have you not tested yet?????? wow hope its good news for you!
pj's and hugs from ds today - think i really need them!

Bluetinkerbell · 17/11/2011 15:17

Hmmm been reading about the Clearblue monitor and not entirely convinced yet, as my longest cycle so far I know was 44 days... don't want to spend that amount of money for it then not to work accurately...

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 17/11/2011 17:24

Hi ladies, been a bit quiet because I've been swapped with work. AF due Saturday but tested this morning with the cheap amazon poas and bfn. Have mild cramps so sounding like I will be off this flight tomorrow or so. Upsetting because the DH was swi-ing as much was I was, I think he was really determined because he knew how much it meant to me. I just don't know how to be anything but disappointed and he is going to feel the same if not guilty. Dinging one year of TTCing :(

oggy24 · 17/11/2011 17:46

Hi everyone! Just popping my head in after a week being AWOL. Work has been manic but I'm hoping the worst of the worst is out of the way now.

I have tried to catch up as much as I can.

moowoo My EWCM isn't particularly stretchy. I normally know it by it being much 'slidier' when I wipe. Nice! Make sure you ask all the questionsi n the world about your B.R. I got so confused sat in the GP that I didn't ask half of what I wanted to know and so I was left to Google it! never safe!

loulou You're a stronger person than me if you could get the EggyWegg symbol on the CBFM and not SWI!

Loulou, Berries and Liliana I have looked at my Maternity policy so much on the work PC! If my boos looks at my history he will get a shock. I have even calculated exactly how much pay I would get. Desperate is not the word!

I know I am out this month but just waiting for AF to arrive. We weren't really playing the game this month due to the amount of stress we both had on. I did do a random sneaky POAS yesterday morning with an IC. Not surprisingly, BFN. I am starting to get a bit crampy now so think the bitch will arrive tomorrow as planned. A bit annoying as I was hoping my cycles were getting longer from just 21 days! Grrr!

Anyway, day off tomorrow so might have a bit of SWOI to cheer me up!

oggy24 · 17/11/2011 17:47

Well, that was riddled with mistakes! Sorry!

Countmyblessings · 17/11/2011 18:16

Blue - im actually decided not to get the cbfm - im just trusting in God and just going to take a really relaxed stance now! with af pending and been trying since MMC in June im just thinking its so never a sure thing no matter if you still do it on the "right days" and before i get to obsessed with it all!
I know we all came on this flight to get to BFP but since the big focus month after month its just not happening! and then you read all the good news as soon as you relax and forget about it like Flora!
im not saying goodbye just cant deal with the stress!
egg and oggy - seems that alot of us are due now for Af to come - i hate the cramps and the feeling that its coming makes my chances crash and burn!down but not quite out! ok!!!!!!!

Liliana1 · 18/11/2011 07:24

Sorry wasn't on yesterday as had day from hell at work :(

Well AF finally arrived this morning - 2 days late but I'm putting it down to stress. Guess I'll have to get off at this stop :(

Bit gutted as we tried really hard this month, but didn't feel pg so not really surprised.

I've got internet cheapie opk's does anyone know if they are any good? Might try to use them as they are just sitting there and it might curb my cravings to poas!

Moowoo really hope that your results are ok. You deserve some good news.

Sounds like a few of us are waiting for AF but you're not out till the witch sings so still hoping for lots more BFP on this flight.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 07:35

Oh count i completely understand how you feel!! The fact that I can now safely say that I am not ov'ing has really brought reality crashing home! I always thought there was something not quite right, but I thought it was more down to coming off the pill rather than anything more serious! I know that it's not certain until I speak to the Doctor but all the signs do point to what I am fearing, especially with high levels of testosterone and LH!

On a postive note though, it has made me more determined to get myself sorted and who knows, i might just conceive naturally (not getting hopes up though as not ov'ing makes that quite difficult) but if i can't then there is help at hand!!

Don't think you ever realise how much you want children until you are faced with the prospect of maybe not being able to have any!!

Sorry...........feeling a bit sad about it all at the moment.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/11/2011 07:36

Liliana i don't think anyone is actually getting off at all, i think we are all just plodding on together until we get a BFP!!! Grin

iloveberries · 18/11/2011 07:37

mooley so sorry to hear about the potential issues... good that you got things looked into though and you have time to get things sorted so i wouldn't worry too much about not being able to. (Though i appreciate this is hard).

another BFN for me on an internet one which is supposedly supersensitive so guess that's me definitely out :( Apparently not drinkiing for a month makes no difference, so ladies, hit the wine this weekend :)
