How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Well, it looks like last night's post was a tad optimistic, as no temp rise at all this morning despite the tummy twinges! Think it's going to be another long cycle, feeling a bit deflated about it all again. Really thought that my body was starting to regulate a bit better, but on CD17 today (should have ovulated on CD15 if my cycles are 29 days, right!?!) so have either another 40 days or 60 days, depending on what is going on!! All I can do though is SWI EOD (not missing an opportunity at all this cycle) and hope that those temps rise! Have stopped with the whole POAOS because in 3 months they have told me absolutely nothing. Just hope the blood results to reveal anything too worrying! Have not been told when to call for the results so might make some enquiries today!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and are ready for the rigours of the day :) trying to stay positive, but finding it all a little frustrating at the moment so sorry if the tone of this is a little sombre!!! Anyone testing this week? Think this thread needs another lift!!

Liliana1 · 14/11/2011 07:27

berries in honesty I don't know why I test early, it's just become a morning habit - get up, POAS, have breakfast, brush teeth ...!

And your right, got another BFN - will try to break the habit tomorrow and not test.

Felt really sick last night but could have been the chocolate brownie and ice cream I ate Grin

Sorry you're a bit down MooWoo, if you do decide to stop actively trying why not just leave it to chance? You might find that stopping all the charting etc will relax you and it just happens - like finding my keys, I usually find them when I give up looking!

Hope they blood results are positive

Have a good day all

louloubellamozzarella · 14/11/2011 09:15

Hey all. moowoo - I just don't think you're one of those lucky people who can tell when they're oving by temp and hormones alone - but the chances are that you are oving. The twinges sound promising though. Really hope that the docs have some results to share with you this week. Don't lose heart - but taking a 'break' from TTC sounds like a good idea to take the pressure off.

Berries haha good point. I test early just to see - I definitely wouldn't do it if I was stressed out/emotional about TTC but at this stage, it's a bit of an experiment really. Must not make a habit of it though - even if it is ICs it's still a waste of ££!

festie interesting point about levels of HCG in ICs - I've seen lots of good feedback about superdrug tests so might pick up a couple when I'm out of ICs.

Glimpers hope you're ok Thanks

Hope everyone had good weekends. Mine was busy but good - lots of food and seeing people. Caught up with a couple of friends yesterday and did a spot of shopping - those shops are getting Christmassy. I can't wait for December now (partly because I have half of it off work!) :)

floralflora · 14/11/2011 11:33

I was naughty this morning and POAS 3 days early. And got a BFP!! Grin Sent DH an email at work attaching photo of stick and then realised he's out of the office this morning - hope none of his colleagues opens it in his absence! Blush

louloubellamozzarella · 14/11/2011 12:00

CONGRATS floral - nice to see another BFP coming through - reminds me that it is possible :) Would that make it a July baby still?

I think my AF's due the day after yours would have been so does that mean I can test tomorrow? Haha, no I will hold out, I will hold out...

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 14/11/2011 13:16

congrats flora!!!! That's great news

Maisie55 · 14/11/2011 13:27

Hurrah - congrats Flora!! Thats great news, there is hope for us then! I have now started using the CBFM and despite the fact that AF hasn't even gone yet it has made me feel much more in control this month like at least something concrete will let me know when we should be SWI'ing!! Assuming it shows the highs and peaks of course!! Am also hoping it will help make sense of my long cycles - anyone know just how long a luteal phase can be? Am wondering if we've been leaving it too late in the month due to the late cycles and actually ov earlier, although I do always wait for the EWCM as well so who knows!!

Fingers crossed for lots more BFP's!!! Flora you get promoted now!

iloveberries · 14/11/2011 13:41

flora! great news! congratulations. good luck for the next 9 months (and 18 years after!!)

maisie i feel the same about CBFM, it just takes the pressure off doesn't it.

CD 25 here and very high temp this morning..... is this a good sign? Oh god, i promised myself i would try not to ss!! I want to be in 1st class BFP land too!!!

LouLou - you're doing well to hold off! when is AF due? same as me? (sun/mon)

Thanks for all the congratulations! You're the first to know Grin.

Ooh, yes, Maisie, I get promoted don't I??!!

Yes Loulou my AF is due on Thursday. I'm going to test then too, just to be sure. You're doing well to hold out Smile.

I think it makes a July baby but I don't think I've ever had the same cycle length two months running, so I never know what to put in the due date calculators.

When I told DH when I got my first ever BFP 7 years ago, the first thing he said was, "I need to go and mow the lawn" and he disappeared outside! So when he got my email this afternoon, he sent a message back saying, "Time to mow the lawn is it?" Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 14/11/2011 13:54

floral I think AF is due on Thursday (18th) but I seem to have put the 15th on here - it could be anytime around then as my cycles still haven't quite settled down yet sigh. I'm just looking forward to knowing either way - if BFN then I can get cracking on the CBFM so at least I'll know I'm oving :)

Lots of us coming up to test soon - I've got some positive feelings about BFPs a-plenty!

louloubellamozzarella · 14/11/2011 13:55

Ohhh just realised 18th is Friday

Glimpers · 14/11/2011 15:25

Congrats flora really pleased for you.
Sorry to dump this on you guys, but I need some advice. Got a faint BFP on Saturday/ Sunday then started bleeding yesterday. At that point it was just like a normal AF. However, since this morning (TMI alert!!) it has literally been pouring out, to the point where I've had to come home from work.
Is this right? Should I expect the bleeding to carry on like this, and if so, how long for?
Feeling even worse as DH not home for another 12 days Sad

louloubellamozzarella · 14/11/2011 15:39

Glimpers it sounds like a v early miscarriage :( If you're concerned about the flow and it continues I'd definitely go to the doc's for a check up and reassurance. Make sure you take it easy and I hope you feel better soon Brew - is there anyone around you who can come and keep you company?

Countmyblessings · 14/11/2011 16:06

Huge Congrats to Flora - you just came back and now you get a BFP!
Thats perfect timing!!!!!!!!!!! ishing you all the best!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/11/2011 17:03

Congratulations floral that is great news!!!

Glimpers so sorry for what you are going through :(. I agree with loulou though, if it does not start to ease then I really would recommend seeing your doctor, I think you should let them know what's happening regardless though so that they have it on record! Thanks hope you are feeling better soon!

Have had another cold day out on site, just starting to warm up now, but absolutely shattered! And i have revision to do!! Argh!!! Angry

Oh well, back to those books...............................

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 14/11/2011 17:59

Glimpers sorry to hear you had such a terrible day. Last month I had something similar, tbh the more I SWI the worse my period ends up being. And that includes some killer cramps too. Hope it calms down tomorrow.

Liliana1 · 14/11/2011 18:15

Congrats Flora lovely to have another BFP to keep us hoping. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Glimpers look after yourself, :( and I too would go see the doc if it continues. Take care

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 14/11/2011 19:24

Good luck to those this week. I have to confess.. AF due Saturday and I POAS today. BFN, but I do have six days left so please cross everything for me! Well... unless your SWI you keep those legs casual.

festiemum · 14/11/2011 20:07

Huzzah huzzah huzzah! Well done flora - fab news.

Now Glimpers, big love to you - after my chem, I bled like crazy and was very close to visiting the docs, but it eased off and I decided to leave it. My advice to you is if it continues tomorrow, get yourself in for a check up just to put your mind at rest. I'm so sorry - it's a nasty experience, especially sorry that you're going through it without your DH about. Have you confided in any friends? Perhaps now is the time to share and accept some support from close friends? Big hugs and come and talk here as much as you want and be KIND to yourself! Thanks

Seen some mates today, and told them about not ov-ing since the m/c and they're all pop into your GP and get yourself checked. But I don't know. This probably only counts as cycle #2 since the m/c, since the first cycle afterwards doesn't really count. So, I'm tempted to just give it another month before I hassle anyone, and x-fingers that I release an eggy this time!

festiemum · 14/11/2011 20:13

Oh and I need to update the stats. I am not strictly in the July flight anymore, but you won't kick me off, will you?!! [pleading emoticon]

Glimpers · 14/11/2011 20:28

Evening ladies and thank you all so much for your kind messages.
Feeling like crap at the mo Sad
Although the chocolate and pecan popcorn that I am stuffing my face with looking at is cheering me up a little Smile
I honestly didn't think it was possible to bleed this much Sad TMI here but it's the huge clots that are really worrying me. Going to see how tonight goes and call the docs in the morning if no better.
festie I have told my sis and she is keeping in contact with me, just gutted that DH isn't here and he's pee'd off cos he's not here too.
Can I add my details onto the flight manifest even though i'm not on July anymore?
Glimpers (33) TTC %232 AF due ????

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/11/2011 21:19

glinpers of course you can add to the manifest!! Think this is more of a general flight anyway!! I only want to see you lovely ladies leaving with a BFP, until then we are in this together :)

Glimpers · 14/11/2011 21:57

Aww thanks mooley
Just realised my stats came out as TTC number 232!!! Obviously I'm not, and it was meant to be a hash sign that my phone decided to not like!!!!! Grin
Just been on the phone to my DMum for nearly an hour and feel a lot better for talking it through with someone. Spookily though she said she had been feeling like she had morning sickness for the last few days and it stopped this morning Hmm I did tell her to let me know if she feels like it again as it will save me a fortune on buying tests Grin
Thank you for all your support ladies, it has meant a great deal to me today and has helped get me through.
Tomorrow is a new day and is ours for the taking.

Bluetinkerbell · 14/11/2011 22:14

ok quick... I need tips to seduce DH tonight, we've been swi-ing every day since friday... I suggested an early night tonight... today first day with eggwhite CM :) he wasn't very enthusiastic... :( I need to get some more swi-ing...
why do men always say they can't have enough sex and when you want some, they're not interested grmbl!
