Good Morning Ladies.....and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..... I hope that 2006 brings all what you are hoping for x x

And to those feeling "under the weather" I hope you begin to feel better soon...

diddle - I know what you mean, went shopping with small list and item 'nibbles' covered an awful lot of things

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 09:20

morning nikki - how are you doing now?? all as ok as it can be?

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 09:26

Yes I am fine thanks, ventured out for a drink for the first time last week felt a bit like a wall flower as not been out for a while and felt a bit misplaced, ended up getting upset but on the whole doing well.

I am looking forward to a much better 2006..

How are you keeping?

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 09:35

I can't wait till 2006 either, after such a naff year i think we all deserve a happy year.

I'm ok thanks looking forward to finishing work today.

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 09:37

Lucky you... still working until tomorrow and works extremely slow

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 09:40

my days are flying by, the kids keep me more than busy. got 5 today, feel like i haven't recovered from yesterdays kids yet. will be glad of a lie in tomorrow. my first chidl arrived at 6.50 this morning.

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 09:47

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 09:50

oh my goodness...no rest for you then where do you find the time for shopping and wrapping??

Think most will be off work now or busy with their xmas preparations. have seen a few sad news notices too so maybe a deserved rest is being had..

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 09:59

aww yeh, and i guess now the kids are off most people are busy with them. Been xmas shopping for months, and done some online, but when the kids were at school i had a couple of hours to msyelf so used to go then.

mygarland · 22/12/2005 10:10

Morning diddle and nikki,
the first time I went out for a drink after the mc I blubbed like a baby and felt I really embarrassed myself but after that I think I was ok. Nibbles does cover all manner of sins doesn't it?
DH working til 2moro and then we're going 'home' up north (nice and cold!!!) til mon or tue so can't talk much then but it's xmas anyway and no one will be!
MW r u still at work or have u finished without telling us?!
x

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 10:19

mygarland you have it in one...blubbed like nothing on this earth started DH off too just had to come home. keep feeling paranoid now..

Enjoy your time up north x

what you doing this xmas diddle? we are going mil for xmas dinner got sdd 1 and 2 xmas eve to xmas day ...first time

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 10:23

can't remember the first time i went out after the m/c, don't go out very often.

we are spending xmas with the in laws xmaseve, day, boxingday then coming home. they're in Ipswich so we can't just pop in for the day, need to make a weekend of it.
plus gives dh a chance to drink. gonna miss my wine this year.

mygarland · 22/12/2005 10:37

I don't go out that often either, think I've been out 3 times this year for an hour each I'm such a pipe and slippers girl!
We'll be at my parents house the whole time but will have to visit bil's and pil i spose (i'll try not to get food poisoning)! xmas dinner is at bro and sil's who used to be a cook! Hmmmmm, she cooks like every1's got an american appetite! which dh loves!
And spose i'll c a few friends too, glad we've bought a new car to fit all pressies in, do u think i'll have more on the way up or coming back down? Hmmmm.
x

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 10:44

your sil dinner sounds yummy already!

dids get out the white grape shloer and pretend

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 10:57

nikki - everyone keeps telling me that, have tried the red one, but not the white grape. MIL bought me a bottle last time we visited, bless her. i know she'll fill me with it at xmas too.
hope shes got the white grape one.

mygarland · 22/12/2005 11:07

the white one is lovely, fil can't drink because of long term meds and we get it in for him, it's gorgeous! as is sil's cooking.
after saying my patience n sympathy are running thin with dh he's bn sent home frm work after being sick off to do some grovelling.
x

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:14

I'm still here.

Working till 12pm tomorrow. Then off till Wednesday.

We're having xmas day at my mum and dads, gonna have a few games of poker. (bought dad complete poker set for xmas)

Going to (futre) MIL on boxing day, then relaxing at home on tuesday.

its getting so close, i keep waking up at 1am thinking its xmas day and we can open xmas pressies, have to keep going back to sleep. No fun!

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 11:18

oh no my garland - bet he's just got mans flu still.

mumsxmaswish - hows things doing? you feeling ok?

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:20

yeh feeling great! really looking forward to xmas cant wait. gotta get a couple more things for the parents, (dads poker table, pair of slippers for mum) and grandads hamper basket. Also gotta find something for best mates 3month old. (ANY IDEAS?)

get some cards too.

So busy!

mygarland · 22/12/2005 11:21

me and dh haven't bought anything for each other! for my bday i got a happy anniversary card (mustn't have had his lens in when he bought it!) so not expecting owt! he got a mouse for the comp cos old one was knackered but we put that on straight away, no surprises here!
it wont even be exciting for kids as all their pressies'll be here and we'll b up there! they'd had pressies frm us this wk

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 11:23

mums - i think you've handled this miscarriage really well, you sure you've dealt with it properly and not just trying to forget it. becaus eif you don't let yourself grieve you will explode mean that in the nicest way. worried you've bounced back so soon. you know you don't have to put a brave face for us. You can always share your feelings here openly.

will you have to see the doc again after the m/c?

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 11:26

can't you take pressies away with you mygarland? fancy dh doing that

mums - i;d have a look on early learning webiste they ahve some lovely toys, or you could get some clothes. i think its hard to buy for a baby.

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:27

I dealt with this one better because I kinda knew it was going to happen and I didnt have time to get attactched. Between the time of the +ve test and the doc app (stop bleeding) it was only about a week.

I've gotta go back if I dont get a normal AF in the next month (means I havent cleared out properly) but other than that, been told to let nature lead its course. All they can tel me is the HCG level, which I can kinda do myself. Just check in a couple of weeks for a +ve test, if there is I'm going back.

I've not grieved but its cos I didnt feel pg to begin with so i cant grieve for something I wasnt sure about anyway. Make sense?

Dont worry i'm not hiding it!

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:28

Was thinking of getting some bath toys cos she loves the bath apparently. Other than that not sure. Might just get them all some choccies and they can share if they want! lol

mygarland · 22/12/2005 11:33

Clothes in a bigger size or toys for when she's older are always a safe bet as is a pack of multi-coloured bath ducks mums. ps u r far braver than me handling yr mc at this time of year too.
can't take all kids pressies up north as far far too big! they'll find santa's been to their bedroom (not in a wrong way) when they come back!
