Mygarland dh card mine got me an anniversary card for our wedding day? lol obviously in a rush! agree with diddle can you take pressies with you?

mums bath toys great idea...if you got to go to supermarket shop they may have a cuddly that may be suitable?? you are coping v well with things ... hope you don't have to go back in to hosp x

schloer... yummy ... my parents used to give it us as kids and we used to think we were drunk - - know wonder they used to laugh at us..

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:40

mygarland - take a couple of the smaller ones. (?)

I'll go looking for clothes on fri afternoon then.

gotta get some xmas cards at lunch time so that i can deliver them round work and to family on Friday (thats gonna be a long day)

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 11:41

I guess we're all different, i know when it was me i was attached pretty much straight away, and although i had very little symptoms It was gutting to know that I could have had a baby and it was gone. we weren't trying long but we desperatly want a baby.

I wouldn't be surprised if you have an abnormal Af after a miscarriage there will be the odd thing left behind. You're having very good follow up care. i had no contact with the doctor or hospital after either of mine, and i could easily have retained products too. so weird how different areas have different policies, you'd think they'd all do the same.

i'm glad you're doing ok with it.

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:44

you'd have thought they would esp when things can so easily go wrong. They're pretty good where we are although I'm looking forward to moving and going back to my original doc!

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 11:47

will you try again after xmas mums, or are you already?

mygarland · 22/12/2005 11:50

yeah diddle, after mine i went to epau the next wk done pt and that was it! it's a shame there's a post code lottery on the nhs

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 11:55

Not trying yet, because I want an AF to make sure everything is good, plus DF has gone back to his holiday plan so if I wait for one more AF then it means we can go on hol and I still get my babs next year.

I wanted to get straigh back on the horse, but more I thought about it the more I realised I do need a hol and one AF means I can check dates and make sure body is ready.

Could it be anything to do with me being rehsus (sp?) neg? Should we be finding out DF's blood tyep?

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 11:59

I had that thought too about blood group being rh -ve I think it only has a bearing on birth. how many weeks were you (sorry I forgot) have you had to have anti-d injection??

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 12:02

I think if you find out DF blood type it may help ... I found out after the event by mil that DH is -ve too so no need for anti-D worries.

mygarland · 22/12/2005 12:06

Rh neg is only a prob if the bloods mix mumswish

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 12:08

sorry mums may have slightly misintrepted msg...don't blame your bloods I was told its more to do with nature and genetic make up of the foetus...

knowing your DF's blood type may help with anti-D queries at birth as dr told me 2 -ve bloods mean know requirement for this injection (am hoping this to be correct)

mygarland · 22/12/2005 12:16

yes nikki tha's correct assuming any other children u concieve will b with dh (not insinuating anything here )

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 12:30

of course mygarland...

mygarland · 22/12/2005 12:41

mums just had a think about rh- and if the mc/s were because of that then I imagine they wouldn't have been missed mc, they would have happened immediately, hope this brings u a bit of comfort, x

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 12:54

just checked on the miscarriage association website re rh- and anti-d etc.

quote "There is no evidence to suggest that Rhesus D antibodies cause miscarriage" so please do not worry that this may of been the cause. x

jinglediddle · 22/12/2005 13:01

didn't realise you were rhesus negative mums, when did you find that out? wonder if i am

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 13:07

when I went for bloods which was earlier than usual due to health history I had to pop into the MW and I asked if bloods ok and she told me what group I was and that on my next visit I would get a card with it on...although didn't get to the next visit

mil told me after mc that DH was -ve too....which kind of put my mind at rest as I hadn't read the quote I have just written on here at that time

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 13:08

-ve supposed to be the rarer groups but I know loads of -ve...probably more than +ve...weird

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 13:16

Found out I was after first mc when they gave me injection. Not having one this time. Dont know why.

Will find out what his blood type is anyway.

Glad to hear its not that, I thought that 2 different bloods made your body attack it, that what I thought could have caused a second mc. ahh well, if its meant to be it will be,

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 13:16

diddle I would presume your blood type is on your notes at your drs or where you had your bloods done...fi you ask next time at drs or ring them they may tell you??

FirstSaintNikkilass · 22/12/2005 13:18

have a look at this its helps with mc info and this link is about rh-ve and anti-d

mygarland · 22/12/2005 13:24

Having two different blood groups doesn't necessarily make your body attack it and even if they r diff it's the mother's that counts. my dad is rh- and my mam is rh+ but it doesn't matter that dad was rh-! but even if dp is rh+ it doesn't necessarily mean bad things they do the injection as a precaution not a cure! again hope this helps mw, x

mumsXMASwish · 22/12/2005 13:31

oh right I get it now, I've sooo heard stuff wrong! lol

Oh well, things will happen if theyre going to.!

I've got loads of pressies still to get. I've spent loads of money but dont seem to have got any except DF presents.

Finally got my cards tho!

Atomicstockinghanger · 22/12/2005 13:34

Mumswish - I thought you didn't know what Rhesus group you were. I'm sure you said a while back you had no idea. Now you are saying you were told after your first MC. I'm confused......
