Lets spread some christmas support for everyone.

well i suppose i could give you the recipe ............ if you reaaaally want it
I am prone to bleeding gums anyway although the last two months they calmed right down only for the last couple of days to flare up again like i said im not going to get excited yet because, if i sat and thought about it all my symptoms (sore boobs, really tired, bleeding gums, constipation ) i would convince myself i was pg, but they are also signs that af is on her way
I promise not to test until saturday (well i'll try )

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:34

if it was using the new method then it'll be fine as it reduces the number of inadequate smears and takes out the blood cells so they can see the other cells. i'd be ok about it i think but i agree there's something dodgy about af's, did u make an appt with dr?

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:36

well carly if you gave us the recipe bit by bit day by day then that may take your mind off testing - see we're here to help!

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:41

Thanks Mygarland I think the fact it took a LONG time for my result, I think it is the new method they used. I have made an appt to see my GP, but not til next Tuesday. I am going to make a note of all that has happened with regards to my AFs so I can tell her everything. I'm sure it is just related to my MC (which is only 4 months ago after all) but its getting a bit of a pain in the butt. But thanks you have eased my mind a bit

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 10:43

well, I'm back.... only peed in a tube, they're sending it off.

No Xack didnt offend me its just no-one to talk to and I've got all these things I want to ask so kinda forced it on here, sorry girls.

Does anyone know where I can look up rehsus neg cos I always wanted to know what it was.

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:44

yeah u'll know it's the new method cos of the wait! like i say dh's lab is 12wk wait. did they use a brush and put it in a pot or a wooden spatula and smear it sraight onto a microscope slide, the latter is conventional the former is LBC (the new method). I wouldn't be positive if i didn't think so cos i wouldn't want anything to go undetected, i'd say so if i thought u should worry ash, x

carlychristmas · 07/12/2005 10:44

Fab idea mygarland
ok to start you will need 300grams of plain flour.............

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:46

oh oh oh recipe for rock cakes can't wait til next installment!
mxw will answer on aug thread 4 u

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:49

Mums - Every one has a Rhesus group - positive or negative. It makes no differnce to your life unless you have kids. If you are Rh neg and Df is Rh pos, you may have a Rh pos child which mean your blood will make anti bodies against it. this won't affect your first child but it might cause problems with any sunsequent children. So baby will have it blood tested at birth and if it has Rh pos blood you will need a drug called Anti-D, to stopp anti bodies being made. If you are Rh neg you will have a couple of injections during your PG.

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 10:50

oh thats ok then, I thought it was major! lol

What are rock cakes btw? Never heard of them

FirstSaintNikkilass · 07/12/2005 10:54

yeahh - recipe pleeeease for rock cakes I will be so popular!

Rh- this I will have to read up on this as I do not know the implications for last (my first) pg/mc if any and my next pg. My drs were going to give me anti-D anyway.. had heard use to do this only for 2nd child. Anyone know any good links??

Just heard from DH who put our loss in words of "its like winning millions on the lotto and then losing the lot" .... he's being quiet about his feelings....

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:55

Mygarland - just seen your Rh post on August thread. See, you are more eduacted and articulate than moi!!

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:56

Awwww Nikki. Your DH has summed it up so well. How is he doing? I bet he is going through hell too. I know he is tower of strngth to you, but does he have someone to turn to?

carlychristmas · 07/12/2005 10:58

FN it surprises us all i think when men finally tell us how they feel its good he feels ready to tell you now.
The recipe is coming in instalments as it will keep my mind off early testing cos i have been a naughty girl and tested too early (again!!) first part is a little further down the page, although - and this goes for everyone- i will accept bribes of money, new car, new house for direct email of the whole recipe

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 10:58

Nikki - it's good thats he's giving you a little info. My DF never said anything till just lately. So I was always worried in the back of my mind that he was relieved. He's just started telling me how he felt now but I always (i wanna say resented but its not that bad) that he never told me.

It is just as bad on him (mentally) as you so it's good you can through it together. How are you feeling today?

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 11:00

Carly - I'll let you rent my flat (that i'm moving out of) in exchange for telling me! what the hell is a rock cake ???

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 11:01

ITS A CAKE THAT LOOKS LIKE A ROCK!!!!

FirstSaintNikkilass · 07/12/2005 11:01

Frustrating and upsetting for me and him really cos he doesn't talk about his feelings easily (I have to probe) which upsets me cos I am not a mind reader and I begin to get paranoid. He is not having good time at work either so thats not helping. I have a quiet yet supportive chap, whereas I am a chatter .... as you have probably gathered!

I try and get him to be talkative to get him through afraid he is bottling things up.

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 11:03

I had that prob Nikki. He will tell you when he's ready, its just hard for him to tell you cos then he's not your rock to lean on anymore.

ASH - I get that but whats it taste of? I've never heard of it before

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 11:04

Your DH sounds very much like mine Nikki. My DH hasn't said a word about my MC. He wasn't keen on me being PG in the first place and I saw his reluctance to talk at as relief at first, but he was so supportive so I gave him the benefit of the coubt and decided it was guilt instead. I am always probing to find out how DH is feelingas I am a talkative person, but he refuses to open up. Hey ho! Suppose we are all different

XmasAngelCrimboKat · 07/12/2005 11:04

Gald you were'nt offended Mums. Did'nt you ever make rock cakes at school? I thought everyone knew what they were LOL.
Nikke- What a wonderful, so true description your dh made. Bless. Brought a tear to my eye that did. So, so so true.
Forgot to add earlir, G4P- Best of luck today hunny, we're thinking of you. x

carlychristmas · 07/12/2005 11:05

i cant say too much cos i dont want to give any away but they might have currants in

FirstSaintNikkilass · 07/12/2005 11:06

Thanks ladies... I feel tearful today although got dsd1 birthday celebrations tonight so maybe that not helping. I just need lots of love and TLC. x

XmasAngelCrimboKat · 07/12/2005 11:07

Carly- How about instead of giving out the recipe, how about sending us some for crimbo? PPllleeeaasseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 11:07

Ohhh, this is turning into a bit of a thriller! currants ....ohhh!
