oh I don't like them at all, whether they're giving or taking. NO LIKE

mygarland · 07/12/2005 09:42

i ended up crying like a baby once at abte-natal clinic they made such a fuss and got baby needles for me instead then they had to take 3 samples cos they messed up and bruised me (sorry not helping am i?) advice is don't let them no how scared u r of them!

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 09:45

Chance would be a fine thing, having a PG related blood test

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 09:46

lol....

When I had the D&C. I was a pin-cushion literally. They took blood from both of my arms. when I went in to be put to sleep they tried in both my hands, then went back to the original. Then I had to have an injection for something in my arse!! no fun!

mygarland · 07/12/2005 09:51

yeah when i was in labour i dreaded a c-secion or intervention, but i really dreaded having a line put in me and guess what they put one in and didn't need it - that was bloody awful

and def agree with ash

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 09:58

what do you mean chance would be a fine thing? I'm confused. They won't give me one you mean? I'm hoping they just want me to p in a cup. I dont want needles

XmasAngelCrimboKat · 07/12/2005 10:01

Mums- I'm over the moon that you're finally pg and send you loads of beanie glue but could I ask a favour that you could save alot of the pg chat for your Due in August thread. Alot of us still here find it incredibly hard to deal with not being able to conceive. People like poor G4P are going through a horrid, awful time at the mo and really could do without this. Please don't take offence at this, it's not meant like that. I'm so genuinely pleased for you but would prefer that you saved the baby chat for the Due in August thread and saved normal witty, fun banter for here. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, it's not meant to.

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:03

I meant Mums that I would be grateful for a few needles if it meant I was PG. I am Rh neg and I am a pin cushion whist PG but I wouldn't care - coz I would BE PG!!!!!!!

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:03

me and ash (& every1 here) would love to have the chance to be pg

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:04

ash u r much more articulate than me!

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:06

Hah!! I doubt it Mygarland!! You are educated after all!! Its just I am a motor mouth and talk all th time!! hehheee!!!

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:09

i need a degree in common sence tho ash - u'll find out in about 6wks!

FirstSaintNikkilass · 07/12/2005 10:09

Morning All - Just caught up.

ASH - john wayne wailing was funny I was trying think how that would sound and came up with tarzan?? Happy BD'ing and so pleased you stopped AF.

MUMS - take it easy now and you have a great Df.

HC - good luck with your scan

Carly - Rock Cakes.... funny you say that my DH loves them he had some at school fete last week and is now craving for them - I must get recipe and try to do some myself.

I wonder how Aprilgirl got on testing this morning..

FirstSaintNikkilass · 07/12/2005 10:11

ASH - I am also Rh neg and wondered if that played a part in my m/c too?

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:11

Oh goodness yes, Aprilgirl....

ARE YOU THERE APRILGIRL?????

Let us know ASAP

XmasAngelCrimboKat · 07/12/2005 10:13

Rh neg here too. Lots of interesting facts about it on the net. Especially from the American hospitals and their policies. They're alot more on the ball so to speak.

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:14

I don't think the Rh neg had anything to do with this MC as of my 3 boys only one is Rh pos and I had Anti- D after having him. BUT I am concerned about nay further PGs coz the EPU i went to for my MC failed to ask if I knew my blood group and I missed my window for having anti-D. It was too late when I thought of it (not exactly the first thing i thought of when I was told I had lost my baby!!) So, as well as the hospital verging on neglegence, I might also have jeopardised any future PGs

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:19

Yoo-Hooo! its gone awful quiet.....

Was that a tumble weed I just spotted......

XmasAngelCrimboKat · 07/12/2005 10:19

Think so and it looked like it came from my direction

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:20

ash to give u a bit of hope: if 2/3 boys are Rh- then dh must have one gene outta 2 that is Rh- and you've got 2 genes for Rh- so there's a 50/50 change next one will be Rh- and if not that's not a guarantee all will go wrong

carlychristmas · 07/12/2005 10:22

morning girls!
what a cold day! i am sat wearing trousers top and my big fleecey dressing gown and big ol' slippers not doing much today as i got college tonight and i dont want to have to rush back. I bought more tests off ebay yesterday and they didnt come today i think its a sign so i cant test early again i am peeing a lot but im not drinking that much??? today is the second day that i have woken up ant seven literally bursting which is weird. Im trying not to read too much into it though, and earlier i had this really weird metallic taste in my mouth! I got all excited cos i know that can be a sign of pg until i realised that my mouth was bleeding and it was blood i could taste doh!
Aprilgirl have u tested yet??
hope everyone else is ok
Oh and btw rock cakes were delicious!!!!!!

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:24

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:26

And rock cakes....can we have a recipe perrrr-leeeeese!!!

(oh and Carly, bleedng gums....PG....related????)

mygarland · 07/12/2005 10:29

carly r u tryin2 make us at your rock cakes and what ash said: NO MORE EARLY TESTING (oh and Carly, bleedng gums....PG....related????)

Atomicstockinghanger · 07/12/2005 10:31

Mygarland - question for you, well for your DH actually. My smear result. How acurate is it. I was told when i had the smear done I would probably be recalled as ther was blood on the slide. But I had an all clear. Does DH think it is the right result? I'm still a bit converned TBH, what with the 2 week AF.
