G4P, I have never had a laparoscopy so I can't help much I'm afraid. Xack is your lady, but I know she won't be on much today as she is having a god awful AF, poor thing. I will email her for you and get her to pop on later for you xx

Mums just checked it out! Phew! eh? But closer to the all important milestone And is everything as it should be - with not knowing and all?

mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 11:52

I'll email you ASH. Not fair to talk on here bout it.!

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 12:29

Right Carly, you need to get yourself a good quality, reliable test, and do a early morning check. When was AF due? Saturday? I think you shoulf test again tomorrow morning.

carlychristmas · 13/12/2005 12:35

ASH af due on sunday not saturday as i thought (not that one day makes much difference i know) but i have been doind cheapy tests that claim to pick up 25miu/ml but and i might be completley wrong i dont remember my boobs doing this tingly thing b4 af arrives??? I think you might be right about doing one in the morning if that is bfn i will leave it till sunday then i will officially be a week over

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 12:42

Hi ASH, choc haystacks are a syrup based crispy cake. Its stodgy but delicious! consist of syrup, margarine, cocoa, dried milk powder and crushed cornflakes or shredded wheat. no baking involved.

G4P - I didn't feel any nausea (well not that I recall) on my laperscopy, however I did feel nausea a few days after my mc. are you keeping well in yourself? (ie. eating, sleeping and resting enough?)

MUMS - Congratulations near the milestone.

Mincepee - glad your body is getting back to normal

HC - how is you scan today?

Those who are poorly... hope you are all feeling better soon

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 12:45

What ever Carly my darling, you need to test again to be sure. I am praying so hard it is the right result

Hi Nikki! Hows you my lovely?

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 12:50

I am good thanks...get stronger each day...although if I sit and look at these cakes any longer I could also get rounder...(not what I am trying to do...need to get thinner ready for the next buba)

Looking forward to having a drink at Christmas now although it will be cheap nights as its been a long time.

How are you?

carlychristmas · 13/12/2005 12:51

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 12:53

Good attitude Carly I'm sure a new year will bring lots of nice surprises to us all.

Glad you are feeling stronger, and hungrier Nikki hehee!!

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 12:57

here here Carly....if at first we don't succeed try try again - in the New Year x (but really hoping you get your BFP )

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 12:59

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 13:06

At 700 odd posts I think we will be having a new thread sooner than the new year We don't 'alf know how to talk!

mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 13:06

Carly you will get you BFP I'm sure of it!

Nikki glad to hear your feeling ok. I'm sure you can get thinner in the new year!! EAT THE CAKES

going4potty · 13/12/2005 13:09

Hi niki, i am feeling tired all the time, but am still bleeding, they said it could last 10 days after salpingectomy. Just really nauseous today. But have booked in with my lovely gp friday. Sorry to moan mums but stiches are well painful 2day. But i did go for a walk this am. Thought, idont want to get into that cycle of too much resting then feeling to weak to do anything once i should be back at work.

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 13:09

the cakes and.... a large metal tin of quality street has turned up on the end of my desk too 1.3kg of 'em! aaarrrrgggghhhh must be good

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 13:16

G4P - you take it easy I know its hard but I promise the more rest, the quicker you heal and the quicker you can go for your walks etc.. The nausea could also be due to the loss of blood you could also be dizzy occasionally too??

The stitches, I found, hurt more each time I stood up or stretched a little so I would recommend doing little as possible of that to give time for the stitches/wound to heal. Remember it could take longer for your insides to heal and unlike a broken leg or arm you can't tell/see when it is healed fully, so error on the side of caution

I agree though keep checking in with your dr to see that all is well, its always nice reassurance when you have a nice dr who understands. x

FirstSaintNikkilass · 13/12/2005 13:18

to add G4P you have been through a traumatic time and you will feel tired and drained due to the stress of it all whether you feel it or not (blood loss also makes tired I think). And as someone on here said to me once "be kind to yourself and give yourself time to heal/rest"

carlychristmas · 13/12/2005 13:22

ASH i think your right about a new thread my poor pc is trudging through bless we are just a lot of gasbags lately arent we???

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 13:23

G4P - Nikki has summed it up lovely. I'm sure that the nausea is being cuased by the stress on your body and the trauma, combined with the blood loss. Take it easy and allow your body to get over what has happened. You'll soon be up and about, and who knows, if you take things easy now, you'll be up and partying hard for New Year!!

Atomicstockinghanger · 13/12/2005 13:23

that we are Carly - Gasbags!! Right get thinking of a new, festive thread name.....

going4potty · 13/12/2005 13:24

thanks niki, you arent a teacher by any chance are you only kidding, i really appreciate your concern. i am a little bit frustrated though. And in more ways than one iykwim
