Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

Bad news scream and imps but I have not the slightest doubt that this month that rat will get smacked.

Now nobody write too much on here today, I am checking this/ typing one handed while simultaneously trying (unsuccessfully) to shovel a readybrek/fruit puree combo into DD's unwilling mouth. As I am neither looking at her not talking to her I amm clearly a bad, MN addicted monther and must stop checking this so often... like til tonight realistically.

Maybe, have you poas this morning yet??

need a seduction plan for the weekend. guessing still not ov so not so worried about tonight!!!

GenericDietCola · 29/07/2011 09:08

Oh scream sorry to hear that chuck, but at least you now know where you are ie pregnancy day 2 - hurrah!

Imps - can't wait for your confirmation sometime next week and great news re spots.

Here's a seduction tip: I got out my wedding nightie 'to see if it still fitted' cue reminiscent rumpy and surely a good old rat smacking. Not actually sure if I've laid my egg yet, but I did lots of visualisation afterwards so that's sure to do the trick

Thinking of Maybe

sims2fan · 29/07/2011 09:24

Ooooh, new symptom! Was almost sick washing up a box that had contained a pasta lunch, which my husband takes to work. True, I hate the smell anyway whenever I wash them up, but I don't normally retch while doing it!

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 09:39

Morning everyone!

NinjaChipmunk · 29/07/2011 09:42

hello, quick visit from me as about to commence Operation Clean The Flat as the outlaws are on their way. No news here as haven't tested. Af not due tomorrow/ sunday. Felt slightly sick this morning but could be that a) i haven't had breakfast yet, b) i went out for a meal last night and ate and drank almost my body weight in steak and red wine. Twas v v tasty.
looking forward to hearing some bfp's but no chance I can comment on how everyone is up to now as have just had to read from yesterday morning and it took ages and i can't remember what happened to who, except woohoo on the fanny cam result.
will try to pop back on periodically as if i leave it till sunday it will take me nearly the whole day to catch up! wish me luck with the outlaws!

dreamfeeder · 29/07/2011 10:06

somebody help me, despite my not-checking-til-tonight intentions I'm back with one baby in her cot having a kip...

sims, you're totally knocked up, impossible not to be.

ninja, thinking of your terrible outlaw situation, good luck, but don't clean too hard in your clearly pregnant state...Grin

generic, fantastic tip, unfortunately won't work for me as I was 8-10 weeks pregnant on my wedding/honeymoon- in fact ended up at GP day after wedding on our honeymoon in scotland with intractable vomiting.... need I say, wouldn't conjure up too many 'romantic' pictures???? oh, the puking.... it never stopped!!!! despite the medication i was so optimistic about!

GenericDietCola · 29/07/2011 10:24

Maybe sorry to hear that, though if it is AF, it's good to know where you stand. I'm no expert in PCOS but I believe there are several treatments etc, so if it does turn out to be that, there is still lots of hope.

Sims - nice to see that bump is growing well!

Ninja excellent news re the sickness - it's a good sign of a healthy ninjagirl - enjoy your special weekend and don't do too much cleaning (all those chemicals are not good for babe)

dream I am just as addicted as you and your story re your honeymoon sickness made me LOL! I do hope this doesn't happen with your current pregnancy though!

Imps7 · 29/07/2011 10:51

Arg that she's still teasing you Maybe. What a nasty cow.

Sims could you be any more pregnant?? Same for you Ninja - sickness brought on my steak and wine overindulgence is a classic sign of pregnancy.

I've just spent a very satisfying hour tending to our veg patch - nesting??

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 12:43

Jealous of your veg patch Imps Growing lots of veggies for Fedex!

Generic, i have no symptoms of PCOS other than the fact that this cycle is playing silly buggers. Not that I am one to be jumping to conclusions or anything.... Smile

I take it back too, no AF whatsoever. Was only one tiny bit of pink CM, and now no more. Driving me mad. So I dragged myself out of bed and went and got my nails done for tomorrow's wedding.

Good luck with the outlaws Ninja I know they can be trying at the best of times Grin

Sickness when washing up Sims? Definitely pregnant Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 29/07/2011 12:51

Maybe are you going to test tomorrow morning with a fresh ramekin of fmu? How many days late / dpo are you now? How frustrating to be being messed about.

GenericDietCola · 29/07/2011 12:53

Ooh, so Maybe you are definitely still pregnant. And if not, you might just be having a one-off strange cycle

Agree with Biscuits that you should use that ramekin again tomorrow.

Imps definitely nesting. Definitely.

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 12:59

I am now 4 days late. Maybe I did just ovulate late. Lucky I kept smacking that rat though! Not sure if I will test in the morning, will wait and see.

How you feeling now Biscuits? Any symptoms to scare delight us with?

Biscuitsandtea · 29/07/2011 13:04

No not really any symptoms to talk of. Feel a bit lethargic and tired but not much in the way of sickness or anything. Boobs still tender. Just did another FR test (what else can I do with them now apart from pee on them?) and the test line came up super quick and lots darker than the control line. Most satisfying Smile. Just need to make it through another 7 or so weeks of interminable waiting for a scan (fingers crossed Confused). Quite a big bit of me would like a bit of nausea to kick in now.

So you tested yesterday but not fmu when you would have been three days late? I think I would HAVE to test again tomorrow with fmu and a FR. Must be doing your nut in? x

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 13:07

Couldn't have put it better myself Biscuit, definitely doing my nut.

Have you considered having an early scan? If When I get a BFP, we have already decided we will have an early one. Have you booked in yet? All so exciting for you and DH!

And I forgot to say yesterday, really pleased your mum has come round now Smile x

thelittlefriend · 29/07/2011 13:11

Sorry to hear she arrived scream but get some wine down your neck this weekend whilst your only in week 1 of your pregnancy, you won't be about to in a few weeks.

Quick question to save me searching back - was it pineapple or grapefruit juice for after ovulation? I've decided to get some now I can be pretty sure of when I've ovulated (today!!) A rat got smacked last night, and if my plan goes ahead, it will again tonight.

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 13:21
Biscuitsandtea · 29/07/2011 13:22

Little Pineapple (fresh or juice) after ov, grapefruit before. Think grapefruit is supposed to help cm and not quite sure how but pineapple helps the bean stick*

*based on absolutely no scientific research

Thanks Maybe I'm glad too! She's not good at adapting to change so maybe just needed a day or two to get her head round it all. We have thought about an early scan but I don't know whether it would really help. I mean if they find a heartbeat it doesn't mean it'll stay (please excuse this humungous dose of negativity). I suppose the only thing would be if they don't find anything and then you could potentially have medical intervention if nothing happening naturally. I might give it a week (we're visiting my parentals on holiday next week for a few days) and then look into booking something. Don't think they would do anything until at least week 7 and given potential late ov maybe week 8 would be safer. Don't want to go too early and then not know why no heartbeat.

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 13:25

Oh bless you Biscuits You are allowed a little dose of negativity (blame it on the hormones) I know how you feel though. I think the same things and I am not even updiffed yet Grin

Whatever you decide to do, there will be a minihobnob (my favourite biscuit) in there (though I am thinking there be multiple hobnobs....) Grin

thelittlefriend · 29/07/2011 13:30

biscuits definitely try & wait til at least 7 wks. With my dd I had to have a scan at 5 wks and they didn't find a heartbeat. It was an awful 2 weeks waiting for next scan and everything was fine anyway, so I wish I hadn't had go through that! When they find the heartbeat at that point your odds are incredibly good of going on to have a successful pregnancy, over 95% I think.

Now, back to positive talk only people!

(and thanks for the pineapple advice)

GenericDietCola · 29/07/2011 13:37

Totally understandable to be a bit anxious Biscuits but all the signs are good ie strong positive pee sticks and the beginning of symptoms. I am with Maybe in thinking this one will be a perfect minihobnob. Glad your mum's OK too - your mum sounds a bit like my mum in that her concern for me sometimes comes across as negativity when she isn't immediately excited about things.

Good show Little get that pineapple on board to make sure littlelittle implants nice and firmly.

Think I may have the beginnings of cystitis so am having a foul delicious drink to cure it before we continue smacking the rat over the weekend - nothing is going to stop me being pregnant this cycle. NOTHING!

Biscuitsandtea · 29/07/2011 13:49

Thank you ladies. I like the minihobnob idea too. Maybe it would be like one of those packets of mini chocolate hobnobs? Smile

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 13:52

Ooooh, yes Biscuits though aren't there quite a few in one of those packs?! A whole team of hobnobs eh?! Grin

UTIs are nasty Generic how dare it try and get in the way of rat smacking!

GenericDietCola · 29/07/2011 13:56

Feel a bit better after the hideous drink placebo effect

I have a question that I hope one of you will be able to help with: I'm getting more twinges in the lower right hand side of my abdomen (ovary?) - do you think this means I'm about to ovulate? It's cd12 and I think my cycles are on the short side but not had a normal cycle since before I was pg with DD. I must be mustn't I? In which case I won't let a little thing like a UTI stop me in my quest this month.

maybebabyR · 29/07/2011 13:58

I reckon so Generic Grin

Get thee to DH and jump on seduce him!

Biscuitsandtea · 29/07/2011 14:02

I get twinges on right side at time of ov i think. Sounds likely! Get rat smacking x
