Sorry to hear about BFN bella but it's still early so there's still time yet Smile

impatient how are you finding using your clearblue monitor? I'm thinking of getting one. OV must be around now for you? FX!

red hope you're enjoying your leave! I don't have any left until April so I'm thinking a few days away in April/May with DH might be necessary as soon as we're able!

eversomuch · 09/02/2012 20:17

Hi all, just a super quick drive-by post. After rejoicing about not getting the flu when DH brought it home, I did end up with a bad head cold and DD got her first cold as well, so have been out of commission for the past week.

Still waiting for AF -- it was due yesterday. Test this morning, however, was a BFN, which I suppose is unlikely to change in the next few days. Ah well. Have only had one AF since DD was born and am still BFing, so don't know how regular my cycles are at the moment.

Sorry you had a BFN, too, bella. Fx for good news soon.

ImpatientOne · 09/02/2012 22:51

Hi everyone

Lugsie on CD13 and still all lows on the monitor Hmm but I on my last cycle my only positive OPK was on CD15 so am not too worried yet honest . From what I've heard it might go straight from low to peak this cycle?? Have just been looking back over my cycles as started using FF and had to input all the data - yawn - and I think we have always given up DTD too early if I do O as late as it now seems I do. Worryingly though I only have 26/27 day cycles so have started some B vits just in case my LP is very short.

The monitor is easy to use and satisfies my POAS addiction everyday but I think it does take a couple of cycles to really know your system.

In other news I have a chest infection which is a pain as I am asthmatic :( was resisting antibiotics but am going to have to get some tomorrow as definitely getting worse not better. Not sure if that's going to blow it for us this cycle as DH is keen on DTD when I'm coughing like an old man!!!

Anyone got any snow????

RedRobin36 · 11/02/2012 01:09

Ahhh the weekend! :o

Any updates bella? FX for you still! Yes make sure you do, its brill..the comedian that does 'Miranda' is in it and she's hilarious! Hope your school shows went well this week!

Oh no ever! Hope you and your DD are feeling better, we must have jynxed you! Is AF still late?? Hope so! :)

I've had a lovely week off thanks lugsie, have not done much so its been really nice just to relax! Did a spot of retail therapy yesterday..well if you can count buying bedding and a new throw as retail therapy!! But i did treat myself to a new bag :o
DF has had his first couple of night shifts so its been very strange going to sleep by myself! (also a bit concerned about the possibility of less swi at the right time..but only a bit...)
That will be something to look forward to lugsie! where do you usually go?

Impatient sorry to hear about your chest infection..they are awful even without asthma! On the upside you sound like a very organised woman this month! I'm sure you'll get your peak soon, unless you have today? I'm also a bit worried about a short LP and have got some B6 incase, let me know how you get on with them! You made me laugh with your old man's cough :o, the scene from friends when monica is really ill but still trying to seduce chandler springs to mind! (hope you know what i'm on about! lol)

Not an ounce of snow down in South Wales with me, just very very cold! Any with you? x

bella2012 · 11/02/2012 20:28

Hi Ladies,

Glad you have had a lovely week off Red and that you have treated yourself to a bit of retail therapy. Sometimes that is the only answer! Will def watch Call the Midwife tomorrow, looking forward to it! DH and I have a week off together and at home which we never usually get so I am so excited. Lots of jobs to do around the house but plenty of nice family stuff as well.

ever- is AF still late? FX for you! impatient- are you feeling better? Hope so! I think our DS is coming down with a bad cough. He has asthma too, so it is always awful when he has it. Bless him. Lugsie- are you sold on the Clearblue monitor? It does sound tempting to POAS every day, which would feel like actively doing something instead of just hoping!

No AF for me yet but still BFN when I have tested and lots of impending AF symptoms so I know I am out this month. I just want it to come so I can get on with next month! Going to try not to test so early next month so that I can just be hopeful for a bit longer instead of confused, disappointed and secretly hopeful!!

Hope you are all having a nice weekend! :)

ImpatientOne · 11/02/2012 22:01

Lots of lovely updates :) all I have been doing is festering on the sofa for 2 days! Started antibiotics yesterday and am feeling a bit better.

bella You could still be in ?? If not I hope you AF comes soon although bad timing for your week off! Wink I rarely have time off at home with DH so know how precious it is!

Looking forward to Call the Midwife tomorrow although can't believe the series is nearly finished!

bella2012 · 13/02/2012 19:38

Still no AF today but I have to keep reminding myself that I hardly would have noticed this before as my periods are always so irregular and always have been. Plus I knew about DS a week early last time, so feel it is unlikely that I would still be testing BFN three days after AF was due. I have had period type pains on and off so it must be coming soon. I am so sick of waiting! I bought some internet cheapies and so have seen so many negative results already, I just want to get on with next month. Because I don't have a regular cycle length I am thinking about trying the every other day method rather than trying to be too precise about when I ovulate. How early (if at all) did you guys start temping or using OPK's? This is only our third cycle but we have waited so long to start trying (because of how much money my maternity leave set us back) that I feel like we have been waiting ages, hence why I must sem like I am jumping the gun a bit.

Anyway, enough me me me. I loved call the midwife last night. I thought it was fab! Did you guys watch it?

Glad antibiotics are making you feel a bit better impatient. Hope you will be properly on the mend soon! :)

Two of my friends had babies exactly a week ago today and I got to cuddle them both this afternoon. They were sooooo gorgeous and so tiny! It was such a wonderful feeling! Hope we all get our BFB's soon! :o

Thought that we could all do with a reminded of stats and all of the graduates! Please update if you can - I've just copied the last set as not on my phone for once! :)

Any news bella?

I'm getting more confused by the day! Usually have around 27 (24-29) day cycle, starting using CBFM on day 6 as per instructions for 1st month. All lows until day 16 when I got my first high and then today I got my first peak - CD19!!! Now on the one hand I am pleased as we were obviously giving up on DTD a bit too early previously Blush but obviously concerned as if I am not ovulating until now surely there is no time for successful implantation?? :(

Well will try not to dwell but my mind is racing with the possibilities of investigations, meds etc

Some good news from someone please! Grin

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 09:48

ah no impatient, that does sound stressful. Surely a late ovulation wouldn't make conception impossible though? It is great to know for sure when your peak time is. Big fx for you this month.

My good news is that despite being totally convinced that af was on her way, i got a v feint bfp this morning. sent dh straight to the village chemist to get a proper test and got 2 more bfp's. Am so so happy but in a total state of shock! I can't actually believe it is real. Hopefully it is and is the start of a good luck spree for everyone! I really hope so xx

MammaInTheMaking · 15/02/2012 11:21

BELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BFP! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!! Congratulations. Please come over to the grads when you are ready?

Impatient I guess this cycle you at least know you're having swi on the optimal days so you're doing everything you can possibly do. Keep thinking on the positive that you're giving it every chance. Fingers crossed :)

babybrain3 · 15/02/2012 11:36

Congratulations Bella GrinGrinGrinGrin

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 14:12

ah thank you so much! I am home alone and completely stunned still so it is so nice to hear some congratulations! I am desperate to tell my mum but she is at work and we have friends coming over tonight so i cant pop over to see her! So exciting. I genuinely thought my af was just late because of stress at work and it being irregular. I can not believe this has happened! Hopefully the start of a lucky month for all.

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 14:16

also proof that u can still test bfn 4 days after your period is due and get a bfp on day 5!

MammaInTheMaking · 15/02/2012 16:14

absolutely, i didn't get a BFP to begin with but when it came it was unmistakable!!!! completely fantastic news! Is this your first Bella?

RedRobin36 · 15/02/2012 17:06

Bella!!!!!! :o :o congratulations!!! I just let out a quiet 'omg yaay!!' as I read your post and had to then explain to DF why! Lol, so pleased for you bella and it so looked like you were on to the next month, just goes to show!!

Let's hope we all will be following you to the graduates soon :o ever any news??

Impatient glad you got your peak finally! Atleast you know you may have been giving up too early..maybe you'll just have a longer cycle this time, I thought I roughly ov'd on cd19/20 too but I think its earlier now as my cycles have got shorter..I'm sure I ov'd yesterday, which would make my last 31 day cycle pretty accurate..but who knows! Does anybody get ov pain at all?

Congrats again bella!! X

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 17:13

no my 2nd but last time was a happy accident so this ttc lark was all new to me. I also got a positive result v v early last time which is why i thought af must be coming after days and days of bfn's. Just shows you not to count your chickens before they have hatched!

ImpatientOne · 15/02/2012 18:33

Yay for bella Grin

I might have to start asking for good news more often if this is the result Wink

eversomuch · 15/02/2012 19:03

Congratulations, bella! Such wonderful news!!!

As for me, AF was due last Wednesday, but I've had 2 BFNs since then (last Thursday and yesterday). I suspect my body is still adjusting to having periods again and they may not resume their normal 28-day cycle for a while, especially as I'm still BFing DD. I feel like I've been ovulating, though, and have had a lot of CM, so just hoping the hormones get where they need to be soon.

Re: ov pain, robin, I often get a crampy feeling on my right side around ov. I used to think it was my fibroids (I have several huge ones), but during my first pg I was told it was likely ov. And I think I felt it a week or so ago, so maybe I'm just ovulating later than expected. In any case, DH and I are back on the job now that we've recovered from colds and flu, so hoping to follow in bella's footsteps very soon.

Hope there's more good news from the rest of you soon, too!

Lugsie · 15/02/2012 19:03

CONGRATULATIONS BELLA!! So pleased for you!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

impatient if I am unsuccessful again this month I think I will definitely invest in a CBFM of my own - I've always thought ov was around CD18 for me (have a 31 day cycle on average) but I've started to wonder whether ov could be a couple of days earlier or later than that and we're completely missing it every month! Plus the POAS every day sounds fun!

red not sure about ov pains, sometimes I think I can just about feel slight cramping but I'm pretty sure I'm imagining it as I don't feel a thing when I'm not obsessing! Grin

Lugsie · 15/02/2012 19:06

x-posts with ever - sorry to hear you're still getting BFNs, but as bella has showed, it doesn't necessarily mean you're not pg. Keeping fx for you.
Grin @ "on the job" - my DH calls it that too!

Carlitawantsababy · 15/02/2012 19:30

Congratulations bella! Fab news! GrinGrinGrin

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 20:29

bella2012 · 15/02/2012 20:44

oops so sorry for double post. I left my phone on the roof of the car as i was trying to fasten dsin his car seat and then drove away. So i am now on dh's phone which i can't operateto save my life!that is my excuse anyway.

Just want to thank u all so much for the congratulations. This thread has been such a huge support to me at a time when none ofmy friends know we have been trying and my hubs thinks i am a bit barking!

red i too got a crampy pain when i ovulate and period type backpain.

Fx for you ever. I hope we are on a lucky roll...
