S2ww imaginary symptom spotting, who's in?

nellie02 · 19/06/2011 22:06

So, according to my phone's shag dictator app I'm nice and fertile, so OH and I did plenty of SWI this weekend. And true to form, already I'm symptom spotting.

now i know you sensible ladies out there will tell me it's far too early, but I say bah to modern science and clearly I'm already pregnant as my symptoms are totally conclusive...

  1. Could only just finish my one glass of wine this evening Wine
  1. Turned down several alcoholic drinks earlier today, clearly mini bean telling me to be sensible from the womb!
  1. Super strong sense of smell, I could tell you exactly what each of my neighbours had for dinner tonight
  1. Unreasonably tired
  1. Quite teary, almost cried on the tube when my soduko got a bit tricky
  1. Had the sudden urge to clean my flat, clearly early nesting.

now who else will join me in some unreasonably early 2ww imaginary symptom spotting?! Hmm

AF has paid me a visit so I've got a couple of weeks off symptom spotting. :( DH and I are going to enjoy ourselves on hols and you never know, we may be celebrating this time next month instead.

Thanks purple I may continue to lurk on this thread as I'd love to toast Wine a couple of BFP's (fingers crossed!) Good luck everyone :)

KikiRC · 30/06/2011 15:33

Sorry to hear that backto but hope you have a fantastic holiday & maybe all the relaxation will bode well for next month.

X

twolittlemonkeys · 30/06/2011 20:45

Sorry you're out of the race this month backtotheplanet. Hope you enjoy your holiday!

I'm driving myself insane wondering about every little niggle, my loss of appetite, the uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen etc etc. I've promised myself I won't test until Tuesday (day 30), which seems an eternity away! At least I won't be at home from Saturday til Monday night so that will hopefully remove the temptation to POAS prematurely. Argh! Who else is still waiting? Anyone planning to POAS over the weekend?

purplepidjin · 01/07/2011 07:12

I'm due Saturday, twolittle. Feels like an eternity here too! I'm stuck at work til 8 tonight, might do it when i get in just to save waiting

nellie02 · 01/07/2011 08:17

Hi all. My body is v confused. I was petty sure that AF had arrived yesterday, had proper hormonal mood swings and chocolate cravings and a bit of spotting. But then it's all gone now, and I woke early this morning feeling sick and weird.

I'm much better after breakfast, so now holding out for AF to arrive, if not, I think I'll test tomorrow.

purple, did you test last night, any news?

I hate this 2ww! The world seemed full of smug pregnant ladies yesterday! Envy

Good luck to all of you testing this weekend.

Can I ask something I put on another thread, if you don't mind... Do you ladies feel comfortable about BD later on during your ttw- i.e. around possible implantation time? All just seems a bit fragile to me... I'm probably being overcautious.

KikiRC · 01/07/2011 08:32

PS- Nellie- fingers crossed- a possible implantation bleed??

X

twolittlemonkeys · 01/07/2011 08:36

Nellie - fingers crossed it's an implantation bleed not a sign that AF is on her way. Kiki - I must admit I've never thought about it - carried on whenever we feel like it during the 2ww. Although with 2 kids and a DH who doesn't have a particularly high sex drive 90% of our action takes place around OV time. Grin

purplepidjin · 01/07/2011 10:08

nellie fingers crossed!

I haven't tested yet, af may or may not have arrived, work is manic and I haven't made it to the loo yet!

eurochick · 01/07/2011 10:50

kiki I don't think it is a problem because your cervix isn't open apart from around ov time so nothing should get through. I'm not a dr though so that's just my own understanding of how things work!

KikiRC · 01/07/2011 13:27

Thanks, Eurochick. I know it sounds silly. It's the rough and tumble element that worries me a bit, too.

Anyway, today's over-hyped symptom is a sudden odd sensation in the uterus neck of the woods, which I wondered could be linked to implantation (I'm about CD8). Daft, I know.

Any news Nellie ?

Have you tested yet, Purple ?

purplepidjin · 01/07/2011 14:02

Afaik mens bits only go in the cervix so not far enough for rough and tumble to have any effect?

Having a dire day at work so I'm not entirely sure which way is up let alone what's stress, af or symptoms! Will try and hang on til first thing tomorrow before I test - does it make a difference? The test I've got is a cheapie tesco jobbie

nellie02 · 01/07/2011 15:00

kiki don't worry, I think the more you bd the better, just incase you ovulate late...

purple sorry you're having such a busy day, but maybe no time to think is a good thing?

I've still no idea what's going on with me... Trying to focus on work but failing, keep distracting myself. Feeling quite free from symptoms now except tiredness, which is kinda normal for a friday.

going to try and wait until sunday morning before poas, to give AF time to arrive. What normally happens is I get a bfn, and then AF arrives! Oh the waiting.

Thanks, neLlie. Wish I could switch my brain off, unfortunately I do a lot of my work on autopilot (care)

Good luck!

purplepidjin · 02/07/2011 09:24

I thought I saw a second line. But I stared at it so long, it'd gone by the time I showed DP. I think I'm kidding myself. AF still hasn't made a proper appearence even though I've been spotting slightly since yesterday afternoon and had cramps since Thursday. WTF??!!

jennypenney · 02/07/2011 10:19

I did that yesterday purple. Will you test again or see if AF turns up proper?

I sat down to POAS this morning but AF showed up instead :(

Oh well, at least I can have a MASSIVE Wine tonight!

purplepidjin · 02/07/2011 11:28

I don't know. DP is convinced there was no line, I was a bit blurry this morning (takes a while for my eyes to adjust to my glasses when I'm tired) and I'm sure I saw a faint line but it had gone by the time I showed him. I'll leave it a couple of days and see if AF shows up. At the moment it's not even really spotting, just discolouration which is weird, but anything could be happening. I'm spottier now than I was at 18!!

purplepidjin · 02/07/2011 11:29

And I hope you have better luck next month Sad enjoy your consolatory Wine

KikiRC · 02/07/2011 12:49

Sorry to hear that JennyP

jennypenney · 02/07/2011 13:20

thank you ladies, fingers and toes (but not legs!) crossed for you all.

I had loads of pre-period cramps this month, especially down the right-hand side. I was semi-convinced it was a tiny bean rearranging all the furniture Grin

nellie02 · 02/07/2011 14:56

Sorry to hear that jenny, how frustrating. But on the plus side, another month of trying started and you can have that glass (or three) of wine.

Oooh purple, an almost line! I'm testing tmw (unless af rocks up before), so maybe maybe we'll both get that second line tmw :)

Good luck for tomorrow Nellie & Purple!

KikiRC · 02/07/2011 18:46

Hmm, almost all my symptoms seem to have gone. Is that a symptom? I'm guessing I'm around 9DPO today...

purplepidjin · 02/07/2011 20:33

So i should test again in the morning?
