S2ww imaginary symptom spotting, who's in?

So, according to my phone's shag dictator app I'm nice and fertile, so OH and I did plenty of SWI this weekend. And true to form, already I'm symptom spotting.

now i know you sensible ladies out there will tell me it's far too early, but I say bah to modern science and clearly I'm already pregnant as my symptoms are totally conclusive...

  1. Could only just finish my one glass of wine this evening Wine
  1. Turned down several alcoholic drinks earlier today, clearly mini bean telling me to be sensible from the womb!
  1. Super strong sense of smell, I could tell you exactly what each of my neighbours had for dinner tonight
  1. Unreasonably tired
  1. Quite teary, almost cried on the tube when my soduko got a bit tricky
  1. Had the sudden urge to clean my flat, clearly early nesting.

now who else will join me in some unreasonably early 2ww imaginary symptom spotting?! Hmm

Thanks Jenny. Yes, just feels like everything's rather 'clenched' down there at the moment, a bit of an on-edge kind of feeling. Really hope it doesn't last 'til AF! All these symptoms if it is come-off-the-pill ones make you realise quite the effect it's been having on your body for so long, don't they? I loved the reliability of it, but I don't think I'll go back on it again.

It's horrid isn't it, I hope you "unclench" soon kiki! For me it was like being in a fog, having no natural cycle made me feel a bit like a zombie and also it killed my libido :( so a victim of its own success.

I would never go back on the pill!

Hope you feel better soon purple - but at least POAS is a definite answer one way or the other.

I just did another test and got a BFN but its tooooooo early, lalala, obviously I must be pregnant, the tests are all wrong :(

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 12:50

I think I know how you're feeling, purple. I had a long period of depression over several years, where it began to feel that was my normal state. I'm glad to say it's lifted now, though it was a very gradual process. The depression was triggered by a number of big and difficult life changes, but when I look back, I realise how hard I was being on myself, and how I worried so much over completely unnecessary and trivial things that I had little control over.

I'd say one of the main things was that I didn't feel fulfilled with work and in my personal life- there were lots of things I wanted to do, but didn't quite have the confidence to do them. This made me frustrated and quite bitter, and I was going around in hopeless circles. I'm so much happier now, having built things up gradually over several years. And I'd like to think of conceiving as the cherry on the cake, if that works out, rather than the be all and end all.

So be a bit easy on yourself, Purple was what I meant to say!

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 12:59

jenny, i will be keeping the faith for you Grin

Thanks Kiki, nice to know i'm not the only one! Will be going pt at work soo, ostensibly so I can concentrate on my own business but hopefully all the sewing will keep me calm Wink

PS let me know what y'all need baby clothes

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 18:58

OK, I confidently signed and dated an important document as the 23rd July this PM. Must be a symptom??

jennypenney · 28/06/2011 19:07

Definitely!

My boobs are sore and I still have cramps. AF due Sat, am convinced am not pg.

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 19:30

Does irrational angry crying count?

Next door but one's kids yet again trashed my plants (picked all the green strawberries off) while their Dad yelled obscenities from 10 metres away... Went out and dealt with that, then spent the afternoon furious Angry If they picked and ate red ones, I wouldn't mind so much!

Then my sewing machine was playing silly buggers when I wanted to make myself a nice top.

Crying and getting overly worked up has to be a sign of pregnancy and not that bastard black dog doesn't it???

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 21:57

OK, so here's your TMI & SGM (seriously going mental) warning.

The permanently 'clenched' feeling has dulled a bit, but if I drew a line across my tummy from hip to hip, everything below that line is still very tight & tense (I don't have an ironing board stomach, by the way.) It feel like even the muscles of my lady bits wall are very tight (feels 'harder' than I've ever known it down there towards the entrance) and when I did a daily CP/ CM check this evening and touched my cervix there was an odd sensation like a small electrical current that went all the way up to my uterus. I was so surprised, I did it again! And it did exactly the same.

Could this just be 'cos it's my first cycle off the pill that I'm super sensitive down there and building up to a monster period? Has anyone had this? Either coming off the pill, or when pregnant? I've checked my CP regularly, and never had a sensation anything at all like this, not when BD or anything.

Still have a dull ache like a period pain but much stronger (I rarely suffer from it) which is stretching across to my hips.

Baffled (and a bit sore). X

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 22:12

What's a CP/CM check? In my world that's Cerebral Palsy and Child Minder so I'm assuming you're talking about something else?

A dull ache can't be easy to live with, can you get to the GP tomorrow to get checked out?

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 22:30

Sorry- cervical position & mucus.
Thanks for being nice! I'm sure it's all the coming off the pill stuff (I've heard some real horror stories of people coming off Dianette.) I'll certainly go to the doctors if I get worried, or it doesn't clear up. It's not a painful ache, I'm just very aware of it.

This isn't AIBU!! Shock

if i were dp youd be U for telling an internet forum about sticking your fingers in your clunge. He has a nice turn of phrase like that Hmm

KikiRC · 29/06/2011 09:39

I think a lot of people on here are charting their CP/ CM, especially to determine their time of ovulation.

backtotheplanet · 29/06/2011 12:32

I am on CD 28 and am becoming soo tempted just to bite the bullet and poas. TBH my cycle is usually 30 days so it would be a bit early and, all the time I am waiting for AF I still have hope!!

Anyone have any advice? When would you test?

purplepidjin · 29/06/2011 15:53

Sorry, Kiki, that one just took me a bit off balance - it'll all be completely normal soon enough eek

CD is that Clomid Day? Inexperienced person here thinks that POAS can be done up to 5 days before AF is due in which case surely you can go for it??

nellie02 · 29/06/2011 19:13

Hello folks

Rather down today. Had some good symptoms (sore boobs, constipation, tired, nauseous etc) but now I think actually nasty AF arriving. Had the smallest amount of spotting earlier but refusing now to go to the loo incase it's got worse! :( I don't want to know. So instead I have worked my butt off at the gym and might just skip dinner and head straight for wine and chocolate.

back, I think you can test today, but personally I've stopped testing early as I didn't want to get hopes up! (for some reason AF I find easier than a bfn.) But let us know the result if you do poas....

Xx

Sad nellie >>squidge

nellie02 · 29/06/2011 19:45

ah, thanks purple, I needed that hug :)

Not totally sure when AF due, I think I'm on CD23, but I used to have really long cycles pre-pill, and since coming off pill in Feb, they've been 22 days, but last one was 28.... so could have been due yesterday (which makes me a day late, woop woop!) or could infact be returning to former cycle, in which case who knows when.

Have agreed with (v patient, far more so than me) OH that I'll test this weekend if AF still absent. And I'd really got my hopes up that I'd at least last until then. But ho hum, let's see. Hoping it was really implantation bleeding!!! But the wine will help me relax all the same.

Have just had a little freak out moment about how long I've waited to try for baby (am 31 and been super broody since 24), and so no wonder I'm finding it hard to rationalise.

Feel better for getting that off my chest! Will be sensible and eat some supper to go with Wine ;)

How's everyone else doing? Has the dull pain faded kiki?

jennypenney · 29/06/2011 19:47

Right there with you nellie, am exactly the same, heavy sore boobs, cramps (for FIVE days now), feel v grumpy. Bah.

purple, can we upgrade the bath to a hot-tub?

Am determined not to POAS til Sat. Or Sun. No no no.

KikiRC · 29/06/2011 20:19

Hello Nellie

Thanks! Feeling a lot less sore than yesterday, it's more just like a normal period-type pain now. Still very tired, sore nips, metal taste, congested nose, CP changing all the time (TMI- was rock hard this am!) Loads of CM, going to the loo quite a bit, nauseous. So loads of brilliant PG symptoms, but trouble is, I'm sure they can all be explained by just having coming off the pill. Also, as it's my first cycle, I've no idea when AF will show. I'm guessing around next Fri/ Sat, so still ages to wait.

Good luck to all of you who should be POAS in the next few days.

XX

purplepidjin · 29/06/2011 20:28

Pre-pill I was 30-32 days, but that was about 5 years ago! Can't remember the last time I didn't get breakthrough bleeding though.

Lots of CM (so that's what it's called)
And I had a blocked nose last night
And I'm really horny (dp very happy)
And my boobs don't fit my recently-purchased shockingly-expensive properly-fitted bras...

KikiRC · 29/06/2011 20:33

Hmm, one other thing is that I couldn't stomach the thought of a glass of wine for a second. This is most unusual. So I'll just pass is straight on for now. Cheers, though! X

purplepidjin · 29/06/2011 20:53

I'm struggling with mine Blush

KikiRC · 30/06/2011 10:04

Goodness, the metallic taste thing is really strong today- absolutely vile. Has anyone had this as a coming-of-the-pill symptom, as opposed to pregnancy??

Hope everyone else is feeling good today (or else, that their symptoms are proper PG ones.)

X

backtotheplanet · 30/06/2011 10:08

Thanks purple and Nellie! I have resisted the urge to poas for now and am instead fantasising about all of the lovely Wine I can drink on my holiday in a couple of weeks time if AF pays a visit (which I think she will do!) Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose, at least I need to try and think of it that way.

This is my first normal cycle since MC at 11 weeks so as my DH says, we would have been very lucky for it to happen again so quickly. He's already looking forward to all the SWI on hols I think.

I'll let you know the outcome. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you though!! It would be great to see some BFP's coming through on this thread! :)
