S2ww imaginary symptom spotting, who's in?

nellie02 · 19/06/2011 22:06

So, according to my phone's shag dictator app I'm nice and fertile, so OH and I did plenty of SWI this weekend. And true to form, already I'm symptom spotting.

now i know you sensible ladies out there will tell me it's far too early, but I say bah to modern science and clearly I'm already pregnant as my symptoms are totally conclusive...

  1. Could only just finish my one glass of wine this evening Wine
  1. Turned down several alcoholic drinks earlier today, clearly mini bean telling me to be sensible from the womb!
  1. Super strong sense of smell, I could tell you exactly what each of my neighbours had for dinner tonight
  1. Unreasonably tired
  1. Quite teary, almost cried on the tube when my soduko got a bit tricky
  1. Had the sudden urge to clean my flat, clearly early nesting.

now who else will join me in some unreasonably early 2ww imaginary symptom spotting?! Hmm

Boobs still sore and feel huge (although bra not any fuller!) Am tired and have felt crap all day but this could be due to red wine consumption last night!

pommedechocolat · 25/06/2011 22:13

My boobs aren't sore anymore weirdly.
I have been having AMAZING mood swings all day though. Cheered up after some Wine though Blush

ZhenXiang · 25/06/2011 23:05

Guys just to make you feel better thought I'd post my 2WW symptoms, I am TTC #2

5dpo - cramp in uterus (middle)

7dpo - 9dpo - nausea and very smell sensitive, gagging when brushing teeth.

11-12 dpo - cramping all day plus hot flushes, sure af coming as this is usual timing for me to get these symptoms.

13-15 dpo feel full in uterus and bloated like I do before af. Very tired and feeling anaemic so start taking iron like I do normally the week before af. Boobs feel bigger but not sore (might be imagining it but they usually get smaller before af). Very teary although manage to hold it together somehow. Start waking in night to go to the loo.

16dpo - af due ish (can be up to 5 days late in some cycles), dark brown spotting and clots, I am pretty sure af on its way.

17dpo - no af, still light amounts of dark brown spotting. Boobs seem bigger and fuller, but not sore.

18dpo - no af, still spotting but very lightly. Buy clear blue test. POAS just now. BFP!!! Grin

I found www.twoweekwait.com/ very useful while waiting, lots of positive stories like mine on there.

Wow, great news zhen :o

Very exciting to hear all these symptoms. Last two days I've had a bit of nausea, but also had a sore throat virus this week so not sure what's what really. But also been v constipated (sorry, tmi!) and tired so really hoping it us a baby bean.

Have also had crampy AF like pains but surely at 6dpo that's too early?

going to see how i feel tomorrow, and eat lots of veg and fruit juice.

I do feel a bit down about it all this week, in the last 6 days 3 friends have announced their pregnancies and 3 babies have come along. Happy for all of them, but still :(

ZhenXiang · 25/06/2011 23:58

6dpo pains could be implantation cramping (think that's what I had at 5dpo), crossing fingers and toes for you x

nellie02 · 26/06/2011 12:03

Oh, make that a fourth baby arrived in a week.

I've still got no AF but my heavy boobs have turned into tingy boobs. The veins are more clear, plus I think there are some on my belly leading to my belly button??? Have got no energy today.

I was due AF on the 13th, tested negative on the 15th, now refusing to test again until I am with my fella this coming weekend. Maybe AF will show up. No idea what's going on as I am never late. I feel like something is going on but until I test again it's all a bit ???

ZhenXiang · 26/06/2011 20:51

Wrinkly was the test clear blue? They are the best, hope that you get the result you want next weekend. Tingly boobs and more prominent veins are a sign, I had that with my last pregnancy.

wrinklyraisin · 26/06/2011 20:57

No it was Predictor. Will get a CB digital for next weekend! Hard to argue with a written result LOL.

nellie02 · 26/06/2011 22:05

a fourth person is pregnant! I feel like everyone else in my life is uber fertile, I hope some rubs off on me...

Had proper period pain cramps tonight, I really hope it's implantation and not super early AF :(

wrinkly, your signs sound really good. Wait and try in a few days, and let us know! Hoping it's a bfp Wine

Please may I join in? I'm a bit of a faker though...

Not SWI. Not TTC. Not in the right financial/relationship place yet (but discussed and planned for the next year or two)

Came off anti-depressants 3 weeks ago, also Pill to give my body a break (mutual decision). Since then contraception has been a bit Russian Roulette (withdrawal Blush) but, because no AD's, lots of shagging Blush

I'm sort of hoping we've had an "accident" Blush even though it's categorically not the right time.

I'll have a bash at symptom spotting if someone tells me what to look for - everything's a bit muddled at the mo because of no ADs!

nellie02 · 26/06/2011 22:33

oooh, welcome purple, nice to have you along. Here, have a glass of Wine!

It never is the right time to have a baby, which makes it all the more of a blessing when it does happen!

I've no idea what symptoms to expect when, really, but I spend a lot of time thinking every niggle is now a baby bean...

purplepidjin · 27/06/2011 13:37

Thanks, Nellie! I've only been with DP 18 months and he started his current (career) job shortly after, so we want to wait for him to get properly established as well as doing the wedding thing before we deliberately ttc. Trying to be sensible!

I want to have an accident but won't be engineering the situation, if that makes sense? I'll stick to cooing over my best mate's newborn as soon as I'm allowed (due Tuesday) Grin

twolittlemonkeys · 27/06/2011 14:09

Hello all, can I join you in symptom spotting? I'm on Clomid ttc#3, plenty of SWI around the right time. I have no idea how I'm going to get through the next week, am currently on CD22 though my Clomid cycles tend to be 30-33 days, but I know I'll be desperate to POAS by the weekend. My imaginary symptoms are:

  1. Feeling totally drained
  2. Off my food today (although in all likelihood that is due to the heat!)
  3. Going to the loo more than usual (though again, I've been drinking loads more because of the heat, so not exactly a surprise...)
  4. Feeling not remotely attracted to DH, and developing ridiculous crushes on other people (mainly actors in films etc) Blush Ridiculous I know. But I had this big time throughout early pregnancy with DS1.
  5. Twinges
  6. More prominent veins (though not on my boobs, on my legs!!!) Really grasping at straws here....

Am supposed to be going to a theme park with my best friend on CD29 so am torn between not testing til afterwards so I can legitimately go on rides and say 'I didn't know I was pregnant' or testing just before and changing our plans to something more sedate accordingly. Because, y'know I clearly am pregnant.... Grin

backtotheplanet · 27/06/2011 16:14

Ugh, really struggling with the 2ww now. Am veering between 'i'm definitely pregnant!' to 'I'm definitely not pregnant!' - we're talking changing my mind every 15 minutes here. Could it possibly be pregnancy hormones please and not those annoying AF ones...

Symptoms are currently as follows:

Mood swings: I lost it with a customer service lady at a train station at the weekend, huffed off and then burst into tears (total weirdness for me) and also developed this bizare rash on my chest and neck when someone was being rude to me on the phone... Blush

Occasionally my boobs hurt but then stop as soon as I start thinking - maybe I'm pregnant!

I have a funny taste in my mouth

Congrats Zhen - here's hoping your luck rubs off on the rest of us!

Nellie02 I feel for you and those birth / pregnancy announcements. I had a similar experience this weekend. I think I have perfected the art of the frozen perma smile with delighted congratulations whilst inwardly wincing. I hope you had a big glass of Wine you may as well whilst you still can - fingers crossed for us all Smile

jennypenney · 28/06/2011 11:20

congrats to all with a BFP!

AF due in 5 days, boobs are sore, cramping for the past three days (on one side only), felt REALLY weird yesterday, was convinced I was pg, did a test, got a BFN :( ... but it's a little early, so I'll wait til Saturday and test again.

jennypenney, I'll be testing Saturday too! Once upon a time when I wasn't on the pill, I was 31-32 days cycle. 28 days is this Thursday but I'll be at work (12 hours shifts) Thu and Fri, so I've picked Saturday as my test day if I don't come on... Have I got it right?

Fingers crossed for everybody

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 11:43

Kiki, I've had that! Especially during/after you-know-what...

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 11:47

Ooh, interesting Purple... Weird, isn't it? Good luck for Saturday! I hope it's a good sign. X

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 11:55

Very - and pretty uncomfortable too! It's hard to tell if what's withdrawal from the pill and from the anti-d's, what effect all the exercise I'm doing is having, and what the contraceptive roulette is doing...

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 12:05

Sounds like you're in a very similar position to me purple - but about a week ahead. Will be be really interested to hear how it goes on Saturday. Did you have any other coming off pill symptoms? I had terrifically sore boobs and a bit of breast milk shortly after my withdrawl bleed. Tummy cramps & slight nausea throughout (before when I think I ovulated- if I did ovulate.)

I was on a mild dose of citalopram a few years back, and switched to something else because I was lactating (a possible side effect). The substitute gave me terrible heads and nausea, so I took myself off pretty quick. I didn't have any real problems when I came off those, so hopefully you won't get too many side effects, either.

KikiRC · 28/06/2011 12:06

Sorry, the citalopram caused me to lactate, I mean- I wasn't pregnant (not sexually active during that time.) X

jennypenney · 28/06/2011 12:32

Ooh good luck purple - fingers crossed you get a BFP and let us know how you get on!

And kiki I hope the signs are good ones not just coming-off-the-pill ones.

I've not been on the pill for years, I hated the way it made me feel, so I know what feels normal and what doesn't (or I SHOULD do, except every twinge makes me think "do I usually feel like this at this time of the month? Am I just imagining it?...argh!)

purplepidjin · 28/06/2011 12:33

I'm so messed up I don't know what I'm feeling - had a nasty cold last week which DP had had the week before, and I couldn't tell if I was ill or withdrawing from something. I've spent the last year or so feeling crap through depression and crap through the medication. Nowadays, I just push on through the crap feeling until I get a proper symptom (vomiting, headache etc) so that I can let myself be proper ill! POAS is going to be my only way to tell...

I've never lactated through any medication, what a bizarre side effect Confused
