Hop aboard the March 2012 bus!

Well I fell off another bus and rather than wait around for the next one I thought I would get another going myself. So have stocked it up with cake, - for the first 2 weeks and - for the 2ww'ers :)

Hoping it will be a lucky bus for lots of us - and I might have a birthday baby :)

MrsCog - looks like you've had a hell of a month, so glad it's ending on a positive for you.

Liliana, you are not alone - the 2ww has a way of turning all of us rational, intelligent women into raving loons. It's the lack of control I think, and the uncertainty - my dh has just resigned himself to living with a nutter half the time until we get a bfp

Had a chem 2 months ago and does sound like you might have had one. Maybe my body still hasn't sorted itself out yet.

Stress certainly could be a key part and don't 'feel' pg so resigned myself to af's arrival. Will keep testing until she arrives as can't resist POAS but not hoping too much.

Thanks so much to everyone for putting up with a mad woman for the last few days, I would love to return the favour anytime! Don't know what I would do without you to winge chat to as can't talk to anyone in RL.

Real you have been a star, so supportive and lovely, and there is always a grain of hope - it's not over till AF sings!!

Does anyone know about the luteal phase? Does it always stay the same length no matter when you ov?

Here ends the saga of my wait, I will keep you updated with what happens but no more analysing!!! (at least I will do my best :) )

Hi Liliana, sorry it's been rough for you.

Yes, luteal phase always stays the same length. It's the pre-ovulatory phase that can vary. So being stressed may delay when you ovulate, but once you have ovulated your luteal phase will be whatever it always is - between 10 and 16 days for nearly all women.

Thanks sanity, guess advanced had the right ov date then as AF showed this morning. Not too sad about it as just wanted an answer so at least I can now get on with another cycle :)

Sorry to hear AF got you Lilliana. I do think it takes the body a while to get back on track after Chem PG - my cycle was 35 days last month - not like me, it's usually much shorter!

I am busy trying to keep busy! Trying not to obsess or go insane symptom spotting. I don't really have any symptoms apart from slightly tender boobs. Had the same last month and AF arrived. I just have to get to 7th July without testing (that will be CD 35!!) Heeelllpppp!!! I go between trying not to think about it to just accepting that it's not happening this month!

Anyone else ever fell PG without have=ing felt PG before testing? I need hope!

Liliana - sorry to hear AF came along. As you say though, can now move forward and look forward to lots more lovely baby making next week.

Byrnsie - yeah, today, in fact.

Got home from work today having managed to get a CB digi (rare as rocking horse shit in this backwater). Anyways, no real pregnancy symptoms AF was due today. Was just taking the test to put my mind at rest and so I could act all nonchalant about stuff when DP got home- I was a bit of a mental cow last month- and it came up with a BFP . Very unexpected - only symptom was a spot on my forehead where as I've usually got clear skin.

Liliana - you set up such a lucky bus. I think it's your turn next time; you deserve it.

BeeWi huge congratulations on the BFP!!! When is your wedding - hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get bad morning sickness.

Hello all, just a quick question, does anyone use those cheapo pregnancy tests off ebay and do they work?

You probably know this already but Poundland do 3 for a £1 and yes, they do work very well. I think if you are pregnant it will show up no matter what the price the tests are.

Thanks horseygirl, we don't have a poundland here, i will buy some off ebay then, af not due till next week so need to try and be patient and not test yet!

Thank you Horseygirl, yes it is very difficult but surly it's to early? maybe i will test at weekend as af is due monday i believe. argghhhh

I tested a lot (blush-makingly too many!) and I know I did it too soon when we started TTC again in March and all it did was depress me so try to wait until the day your AF is due if you can. x

it's just so tempting, probably best not to buy any tests untill the day, then the temptation is not there as much, will do my best, will let you know how i get on.

the 2ww is getting to me, i just went out and bought frer, and i WILL NOT USE IT TILL TOMORROW! AF due next tuesday so it will be 5 days before AF.....or should i leave it longer????
i used a cheapy this afternoon and i am imagining a shadow......heat+2ww=uttermadness

Morningcoffee it is so tempting to test, but I usually convince myself to wait on the premiss that the longer I wait the more accurate the test will be (especially if you're not going digital at this early stage!) I am combatting the need to purchase an early test by ordering CB digital from Amazon (£7.99 for 2 tests!!) and selecting the slowest possible delivery option (my tests should arrive on the latest date I would expect AF to be due (7th July!)
This way I can't test early, but I do feel like I have a plan!! Geeky and probably won't work, but I've tried!

Sorry to all thoses that got af!!!! I actually think ive got no chance of being pregnant this month so the 2ww isnt actully bothering me so much this have finally started taking folic acid and told dp to cut down the drinking as think i am going to take it a bit more seriously next month not going as far as ovulation sticks yet.

Also just one question has every one cut down their caffine intake as i do drink alot of coffee at work?

It might be that I'm hailing the bus at the last stop before the depot, but please can I hop on anyway? Or shall I wait for the clean shiny new April bus that doesn't have cake wrappers shoved behind the seats?

Congrats for more BFPs but Lil I am sooooo sorry AF came. I guess you were right about the late ovulation. Back to the OPKs next month? I saw you've been trying for a good while. The chemical pregnancy must have been extremely hard for you. I guess that's the real down-point of testing early, I'm still freaking out and gusset checking every couple of hours... Sorry if TMI! AF was due today so every twinge is scaring me, have had a few cramps today too which is making me petrified.

But thinking about the OKPs, I was thinking about my good friend who was trying for 2years (having miscarried in the middle of that sadly, at 10 weeks, but that pregnancy was the one with the late BFP on clearblue digital). Anyway, nearing the end she decided to get really serious on the OKPs, saying, 'to hell with the expense' (as a baby is priceless, right?) and after a few months with them she not only discovered that her ovulation was just all over the place but that she was obviously occasionally ovulating unpredictably extremely early. She discovered because she randomly tested a week earlier than she expected to ovulate just because her DH was there and was due to be going away for 10 days, and she discovered a really early LH surge.... So anyway they got busy and a few weeks later discovered she was UTD with what is now an absolutely adorable 5 week old DD (who is prob to blame for my deciding to get serious myself about the ttc lark).

So maybe go back to them as this month was so different from your last that you can't really be sure what's going to happen next month... Or maybe even invest in a fertility monitor? I investigated before buying the clearblue digital OKPs, the clearblue fertility monitors are about half price on amazon.

You say your DH works away but am I right in thinking you're a teacher and have summer hols coming up? Can you stay with him during the week over your summer break? Then you could really get your timing down to a T! You'd be aiming for a April/may baby then....def the best months to have a new baby- that's when DS was born (now 13 months).

Anyway masses and masses of luck to all, to those who are still trying and to those who've had the result they wanted.
