Morning all and happy Thursday (it's my Friday today so feeling good!) It's very much a help yourself this morning, but we do have a new line of home made granola which I'd recommend with the stawberry yogurt. We are also experimenting with mint hot chocolate - feedback welcome!

Not much to report from this end other than at the management conference yesterday, they announced a new initiative that I should have been doing (I knew in advance though) and they have done the worst job ever on it. It's a shambles- so bad that my heart was really thumping at the injustice of it all - it's going to affect so many people and I'm sure I'm still going to be associated with it as people know that's what I should be doing - and then I got some quite bad cramps and immediately thought that the stress levels were affecting the bean and felt mega guilty..... better today though. Still reeling at just what a shocking job they have done....

Forgot to say worm - in answer to your questions about last week's interviews, I called them on Sunday and told them about the pg as I would have felt so bad if I had got through to the second interview and then have to tell them and as Dubai is a small place and it's all about who you know, they are very good people to keep in contact with and could be useful in the future. They were v v nice about it and really appreciated me telling them. They gave me some v positive feedback on the interview and it has given me a real boost, knowing that it went well. Just need to sit it out here for as long as I can or until mat leave (FX) which is a super generous 45 calendar days - how ridiculous is that.... however, we have planned for me to finish work anyway, all being well.

Morning everyone. I will just help myself to a bagel topped with philly and salmon if I may and eat on the go. Busy day for me today, got a meeting 2 effing hours away so have to push the kids from pillar to post before and after school leave early.

It is indeed bliss worm - we have given quite a bit of thought to my leaving in June regardless as they are just so cr*p here.... I need to hang on until 2nd June though as that will be my 5 year mark here and the difference between leaving on 1st June or 2nd June is about 5000 quid so need to try and keep sane til then....

hi ladies im back!!! What a week.....
Been working away in the sunny oxford for the last three days and ended in london last night, so am now home, and relax!!!
Strangly the last few days i havent really had chance to think of my loss as been so busy, had an hour b4 bed on tuesday where my cousin had txt me saying she,d had her 12 week scan and was all good, which was very sad but happy family news....

Hi girls, I'm at home today as a bit tearful and a lot hormonal, so I'm full of chocolate and watching crap tv on dh's orders. He's rather fab! I've booked a docs appointment for later to ask for some tests as hospital said they wouldn't do any until I'd had 3 mc's with dh, as first mc was with a previous partner.

Hey harassed I think tearful and hormonal is totally normal at this stage, glad you are taking it easy and looking after yourself and that dh is being fab.

Can you afford any tests privately? That's what I did and although I didn't get any good answers it at least stopped mr wondering.

I had a great day, well I had my course but then went shopping (in h and m!) and then went fir dinner. Bit tipsy now. Oops! Need to somehow be fresh faced for day 2 tomorrow

Our meeting was a disaster, very bad for our team morale, all our targets have been increased again......typical when this was the first month I was going to hit one of them! found myself sitting working out how many more of them I would have to attend if I was to get a BFP this month, rather than watching the 100's of slides [yawn] 7 more............

So glad to hear that you are being well looked after harassed - please continue to be kind to yourself and don't feel pressured to do anything you're not comfortable with until you're ready. Do push for those tests - I don't know how you might feel about turning on the waterworks, but some ladies on the recurrent mc thread here have recommended it to get things moving..... sending lots of hugs and chocolate xx

emma - I get EWCM at funny times of the month too so was v grateful for the digital ov sticks - while they are expensive, they work for me, but agree with yellow that temping can be a very valuable exercise.

Had a slightly strange evening last night - a darts night at a colleague of DH's place which was quite fun while playing (I can get terribly competitive.... ) but even though they don't smoke themselves, they were positively encouraging others to do so (perhaps trying to re-create old pub style atmosphere ) and it was horribly smoky and they had the air con on so high I was freeeeeezing and then to top it all, they didn't serve dinner until 11.45pm!! I was practically passing out with hunger. DH and I scooted fairly quickly after that. And of course everyone else was pretty pissed and I was sober as a judge, but I don't know if anyone knew that..... bit of an odd evening all round really.....

Don't stress yourself out with it too much though as you have some concentrated 2WWaiting to do . wombat oooh favourite karaoke numbers? How long have you got? I tend to like rock songs so guns and roses sweet child o mine, bonnie tyler total eclipse of the heart, eye of the tiger, some bon jovi tunes.........I love it soooooo much.......Your evening does seem a bit odd.....I am so used to the smoking ban here that I think I'd find it really odd to have people smoking inside. Otherwise how are you feeling, and new symptoms? How are your boobs doing? (too much detail?)

Feeling pretty good thanks - went to my very first 1st bday party this arvo and gorged on all the kiddies' goodies and they had the most amazing cake from Magnolia bakery (the one featured in SATC) - nom nom! Boobs are ok but nips are v tender and getting used to a progesterone fanjo insertion each morning.

Why oh why did I go to work?? Feeling really down now, especially as no one knows, so had to pretend to be all bright and cheerful. Then at school I saw my friend who's due around the time I would have been with no1 been and she'd been for a vbac/cs meeting and was all chatty about that. I came home and cried tbh. Lovely dh was home though, and done all the housework. So lovely. Feel free to ignore me, I'm wallowing a bit!

Forgot to say, doc has sent me for some blood tests but not all the ones I want. They only do testing after 3 consecutive mc's - totally sh*t! Dh and I have decided to have one more try, not sure how much more I can put us all through tbh. I don't want to all become about ttc & mc'ing. Dd has obviously picked up something is wrong. my dad took her to park last night while I was at the docs and she asked him if I was going to die because I was bleeding when I wee'd and I'm going to the doc

ahhh harassed don't be silly, that's what this 'chat' is all about so we can share things when we're down and also talk drunken silly nonsense at other times. I am sorry that you were upset but it is such early days for you that it is totally normal. Can you take any time off work? What tests are you having and which ones did you want to have done? This whole ttc can be so draining, I've sort of put it to the back of my mind at the moment (ha! remind me of that end of next week towards the end of the 2ww!) but I know that another mc for me might be the final straw. So I do know what you mean.
