pink here is the thread, not looking positive :( And thinking I will cancel the appt now. Let me know how you get on today!

Hairy So sweet of your DP to do that :) Really hoping its good news tomorrow for you.

Wakari Welcome. I know what you mean about not telling DH, I am always too scared to tell mine but I really can't go more than a few hours without bursting!

AF due this weekend, BUT my boobs are really sore and big...did I read someone saying sperm live 7 days? Really don't want to waste another EPT but....

lovemysleep · 10/02/2011 10:42

banana yes, sperm can live for up to 7 days. My last pg, I only had sex once on day 5 of my cycle, and I seem to ovulate around day 10 or 11, so that makes sense! Fingers crossed for a BFP for you..

Hairy what a lovely thing for him to do! I often say to DH that I don't care about things he buys so much, it's the thoughtful gestures that mean something to me, as they require a bit more effort.

pink hope it goes ok with the heparin

Hello jolls and everyone else.

Woke up at 5.30 today, so a big improvement on yesterday. Couldn't see though, and was very confused by this, until I realised that I'd gone to bed in my contact lenses! Was that knackered, I completely forgot to take them out.
Am not doing my circuit class on Friday - have decided to drop it, as I think I'd class it as strenous exercise, and I'm just not prepared to take the risk.
Had stitch-like pains in my right side yesterday which freaked me out a bit - but then thought, they're no where near my uterus, so maybe it was just wind?
Also, ate 5 pieces of toast yesterday too! maybe that had something to do with the pain - too much bloody bread! Was ravenous at lunch time....
Right, must go and do some housework...yawn...

Hope soooo Jolls

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 10:49

Just a quickie, banana have you read 'is your body by friendly'? I'm afraid I don't agree with what some of that those ladies are saying, especially about it not being a cause if you've had a baby before. Full NK assay for me was £400. Also did you HHS basic clotting test or a full coagulation screen? Apparntly they are v different, one is how fast you clot, the other is your propensity to clot which is the important feature.

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 10:49

Stupid phone hope it makes sense despite 10000 typos

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 11:00

Actually think it might have been cheaper than that, can't remember what else had done at same time. Proper catchup later

SillyCalamari · 10/02/2011 11:10

Hi all
Nix, what a rollercoaster. I'm chuffed for you.

My news is that I decided to go to the epu unit this morning to find out whether I'm pregnant or not and what's going on (the 7th test was positive this morning but still reading 1-2 weeks and it should have moved on from that by now).

She said that I've had a really early miscarriage and the spotting last week was the result. So that's my 3rd MC in 6 months :( Well at least I'm spared the ERPC or the bloodbath that was the first time round I suppose.

So I'll love you and leave you, and banking on you all having graduated by the time I'm back.
Much love and hope you all enjoy healthy pregnancies

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 11:22

I'm bleeding :(

OP posts:
banana87 · 10/02/2011 11:22

pink When I called, they said £250 for initial consultation, just over £200 for test and further £150 for follow up. That's over £500. IF I had another mc, insurance would cover that initial consultation (where I would have all bloods done), and follow up, so I would only (possibly) have to foot the bill for the test and any treatment. I just can't see the benefit of doing it now, esp as my tax bill this year was so high :(

silverangel · 10/02/2011 11:26

Morning All

[Silly] sorry for your news and wishing you well for next time.

[lovemysleep] i have been having exactly the same sort of pains on and off for a couple of weeks, have convinced myself a fair few times it must be ectopic but when I'm being reasonable figure it cant be that as would mean my tube is up in my lung somewhere! Am going to the docs tomorrow for a non pg related sprained ankle thats not getting any better so will ask them then what its all about.

[hairy] glad you sound a little more positive - its the waiting bit thats the worst.

[banana]both times i have got pg I have only had sex on day 10 of cycle and I ovualte on day 14, so that's at least four days!

hairylights · 10/02/2011 11:26

Oh Dachs .

and Silly so sorry :(

Mamapower · 10/02/2011 11:27

Dachs I thought you'd been a bit quiet! Have you contacted your EPAU Nurse??? Is it spotting? Don't forget not all bleeds are bad... get yourself off to A&E if necessary... fx this is nothing. Big Hugs x

Mamapower · 10/02/2011 11:28

silly so sorry to read that. Good luck and I hope you are back with us before you know it x

hairylights · 10/02/2011 11:29

banana I feel your pain. I have gone through this whole blooming calcuation in my head too.

After the last MC, my instinct (after repeatedly being told that they won't test as I'd 'only' had two MC) was to spend some of my savings (I'm saving for either IVF or extra time off after the baby comes) on recurrent miscarriage testing before I got pregnant again.

So hard to weigh up the balance of what to do.

banana87 · 10/02/2011 11:34

So sorry silly

owlbooty · 10/02/2011 11:37

Silly :( so sorry you've had to go through this again. Hope you're okay & that you come and join us again soon, we'll keep the beanbag reserved for you x

Dachs lovely, is it lots or just a little bit? Have you managed to get hold of nurse/doctor? x

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 11:42

was just spotting, now lots. Brown with some pink but no red yet, but I've got cramps. Nhs was crap but have managed to arrange private scan for 1

But I'm not 6 weeks until tomorrow so they won't be able to see anything anyway so not sure how reassuring it will be...

Sorry for me me me post. I can't stop shaking :(

OP posts:
SillyCalamari · 10/02/2011 11:46

Dachs good luck for the scan, will be thinking of you

banana87 · 10/02/2011 11:46

Dachs Good luck sweetie. If it helps at all I had spotting like this at 6 weeks and went for a private scan and saw a hb (and turned out I was only 5+4). Will be thinking of you.

HongKongBaby · 10/02/2011 11:47

Dachs hugs to you. Hope you can get some reassurance quickly. Remember bleeding is not necessarily the end, I had a lot of bleeding in my successful pregnancy and I know others have too.

Silly Sad you poor thing. Please take good care of yourself.

Nix great news baby is okay and enjoying himself in there.

Hairy your DP sounds lovely, what a great idea of the counsellor's too. I hope tomorrow's scan brings you fantastic news, everything crossed for you.

hairylights · 10/02/2011 11:47

Dachs don't apologise, and best of luck with the scan

SameOldJollster · 10/02/2011 11:50

Just to add to Dachs well wishing. Like HKBaby said, I bled much more with DS than in my MMCs.

digitalgirl · 10/02/2011 12:12

dachs thinking of you...there's every chance it could just be a bleed. Lots of us have had them and gone onto have successful pgs. I did have brown bleeding and cramping with DS, I was on holiday and the bleeding turned red, cramping overnight was painful, but it never got super heavy. Came back from holiday and there was a nice strong heartbeat at 7+3.

sillyC am so sorry about your news, how can they be sure it was another mc and not just the remains of your last one? Take care of yourself.

hairy great positive thinking and a wonderful DH. Hope the scan proves your worries wrong. I have alternate days with boob sensitivity perhaps you do too.

Congratulations to wakari hope this is a sticky one for you.

pink good luck with the heparin injection lesson today.

Woke up feeling a bit non-symptomy today, but have just sneezed and it felt like I'd pulled all my lower ab muscles...so stuff still happening. (also hpt came up instantly with the darkest line yet).

Mamapower · 10/02/2011 12:14

Good luck with the scan Dachs will be thinking of you and bean ((hugs))
