A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

afternoon all. Hope you're all ok. Think i'm due to ov soon, have had 2 dips in temp chart over last few days. have managed to dtd 5th and 7th for the first time in an age, fx can on 9th as well.

mummya so sorry guy didn't turn up, but sounds kinda good that they're treating it seriously as fugitive from justice sounds big.

have to go i'm getting calls of i done poopoo from upstairs. (ds not dh) Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 08/02/2011 14:43

Lol, izz- I know, I'd be burnt out! WE're trying for every 36 hours! Am knackered already!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/02/2011 15:09

Every 36 hours is pretty good going! According to SMEP, we have to do tonight, tomorrow and Friday, then it's chill out time. I think dh will be relieved Grin

cep · 08/02/2011 15:10

An opk and ff question. My opk's are still coming up negative fair enough as i don't think i've ov'd yet, but i'm concerned that as per usual they'll always say negative. I'm just wondering as cbopk says four hours of not drinking or weeing, and cheapy says 2 hrs. Does anyone use the cb in the morning for it to actually show??? All advice says afternoon, just wondered those who use them what do you do to get a positive?

secondly on ff if i keep putting negatives on opk will that effect the cross line thing?? or does temp overrule them?

Ninunina · 08/02/2011 15:25

Hi ladies, this looks like a fun thread, can I join? Smile
I've just suffered my first MC on Sunday Sad and although I'm utterly devistated, I'm trying to remain positive and am really eager to get right back in there and try again.

Any advice on how long I should wait before trying? From what I can see its after 1st cycle but not sure if that's just for dating purposes or if your body needs time to return to normal.

My stats: WTTC#1 post MC1: Feb 11, WTF UCL 28-35 days

MummyAbroad · 08/02/2011 15:27

Hi cep I have only ever got positives with morning wee, and I test twice a day. Last month didnt get any positive so I might even test 3 times a day this time around.Shock

FF wont pay that much attention to OPK's if there is better evidence to consider. The order goes:

temps & CM = primary sign (most important)
Cervical position etc = secondary signs
OPK's and other tests = famously unreliable.

I think the OPK is a helpful clue, but it doesnt always work, I'm not too worried that I didnt get a positive because I still got the temp rise and bi-phasal chart.

Chloe55 · 08/02/2011 15:35

Welcome Ninunina, there is conflicting advice on when you should TTC after MC but IMO I say get back on it when you feel ready to. Don't be too upset though if your cycle is a bit manic this time round. Mine returned after 6 weeks but I know some ladies on here went past that date. It's not unheard of to get pg straight away though, my RL friend just has. This is a good thread to voice your concerns/have a rant Wink

Am really nervouse about seeing the GP now. I just don't know what to say Confused I cried on my friend this afternoon and she is living with her fiance who is clinically depressed, she said everything I have said to her today def sounds like I need some outside help....I know she is right Sad

cep · 08/02/2011 15:53

Thanks mummya i think i'll use cb in morning and cheapy in afternoon. then when run out will give up on them. am getting an ache on right hand side off stomach, ov maybe? are pains supposed to come before, during or after ov?.

welcome Ninunina sorry you have to be here, but you'll find lots of really good help, advice and support on here.

chloe don't worry about the dr, it'll come to you what you need to say. just explain how you're feeling. when's your appointment?

Mamapower · 08/02/2011 16:03

Smile Checking in! Piss poor effort this last week or so, too much to do, so little time; house hunting, business buying, planning a move being bloody knackered etc etc [snore snore emotion]

Hope the SMEP crew are taking it seriously, be great to see some familiar faces on the other fred this month and reduce that ttc list (whooo it's looking short theses days) even further Grin Grin

Welcome Ninunina you are in very good hands. Sorry for your loss.

cep · 08/02/2011 16:18

ooops "am getting" should have been a new sentence sorry.

nix and owl can you add rough dates?

chloe good luck. Just let it all come out, you'll be fine, that's what they're there for.Smile

welcome ninunina. SWorry for your loss. As chloe says its mainly for dating purposes, do whatever you feel is right. As she says though, it may be one or even 2 strange cycles before normality resumes.Smile

Ninunina · 08/02/2011 16:37

Thanks for the advice ladies, I guess it shows I'm new to this whole thing, I just assumed it will all be back to normal as soon as I stop bleeding (slightly too ambitious perhaps) Blush

MummyAbroad · 08/02/2011 16:58

Hi ninunina very sorry for you loss. I found reading this helped me make the when to start decision, I was glad that I did wait in the end because it turned out I had retained tissues and an infection. Have you dont a HPT to check that all the pregnancy hormones have left your body yet?

Chloe55 · 08/02/2011 17:14

Gp was lovely Smile I told myself before I went in that I would hold it together, I cried before even words came out Blush She is looking into a cousellor to refer me to so I just have to sit and wait now.

MummyAbroad · 08/02/2011 17:21

Chloe glad your GP was sympathetic and you are going to get some counselling. Hope it helps you as much as its helping me.

cep · 08/02/2011 17:22

i did that chloe when i went back to have my sick note extended. i thought i'd last longer then that. So glad it went well, and that she treated it seriously. hopefully it won't be too long before a counsellor can see you.

Mamapower · 08/02/2011 17:23

chloe that's great news, am so pleased for you, I know that counselling has helped a few on here and I'm sure you'll find it a very positive step forward Smile

Blackkat · 08/02/2011 17:25

Hello ladies,

lili and collie glad you know what's going on AF wise now.

Chloe so pleased GP was great, fx that you she finds someone for you soon.

ninunina sorry to hear your sad news, you are in safe hands here, I've felt a lot less bonkers since I started posting here after my m/c.

Bit nervous as have final scan at EPU tomorrow to make sure all has gone. Not been bleeding for a bit (TMI- sorry) so FX all ok and we can start TTC again.

to everyone else

Ninunina · 08/02/2011 17:36

Thanks for the link MummyAbroad. It's really the article I was looking for since it answered every question I had. I am still very early in the mc process, need to go back into hospital tomorrow to check my hcg levels to make sure they are going down. I will see what they say and will most likely wait for my first cycle before trying again.

Ninunina · 08/02/2011 17:40

Oh, by the way...what does MIA stand for?

"MIA
BrownB TTC#1 cycle 1 (post MC2) UCL 24-26"

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/02/2011 17:50

Welcome ninunina I'm sorry for your loss Sad

MIA = missing in action, ie we haven't heard from them for a while (although I thought BrownB had posted recently - am I imagining it?!)

. I'm having a moment of doubt here, can't see myself ever getting another bfp. I don't see why SMEP should make any difference - we've been putting in the effort now for seven cycles and getting nowhere.

cep · 08/02/2011 17:57

izzy you're right i remember her posting a week or so ago. I'm sorry your feeling a bit demotivated today. You will get there, i know you will. sending positive vibes (and pots of honey) your way.

Mamapower · 08/02/2011 18:06
