New, combined thread. Welcome all!

OP posts:
Micku5 · 29/11/2005 12:53

Hi Puppy, finally settled in no more boxes... but dd keeps asking to go 'home'. The new house is mummy's and daddy's.. not hers. I am hoping that with all her toys out she will soon feel settled.

Anyway... I've never been regular, but after i had dd in 2003 I started having regular AF up until about 4 months ago and now it's all gone pearshaped. I am meant to be taking clomid but can't. i have appointment with a gynae in january. (it doesn't help that my sister is pg at the moment)

majormoo · 29/11/2005 13:33

MickU5 hope she settles in soon.

Welcome Suss

well AF is due today or tomorrow. I just want it to arrive so we can get offically start this TTC lark!

suss · 29/11/2005 19:54

I want to know how some of you know you are pregnant before doing a test, even though you do a test so early. My last pregnancy I had no idea I was pregnant and when I did the test I was shocked to find I was even though I was doing IVF! so some of you out there must be super sensitive! I hate this wait can't take my mind off it, its there all the time.

puppy · 30/11/2005 10:08

micku5 awww I'm sure your daughter will settle before long, glad the move went ok and good luck with your appt in january.

Suss i had no idea that i was pg with my first pregnancy but with the second pg i was 60% sure i was as i recognised the symptoms that i was having which was like the first, the main sympton i have is that the veins on my chest become more apparent like a road map, tiredness, and period like cramps from time of ovulation - i never normally have cramps.

staceym11 · 30/11/2005 10:44

hello, sorry i haven't been on for ages, all been a bit much recently, hada minor breakdown and told dh that i didnt want any more babies and didnt want to do this anymore. (after the news that my cousin, 17, is now pg with her 2nd by a different father and she doesn't even love/care about her dd, who is now in the custody of her paternal grandmother. and heres me trying and it just aint happening! felt so horrible about it all as this lo will prob end up without its mum too, and i love my dd so dearly! argggghhhh!!!)

anyway, got all the anger (well most of it) out now and we are back ttc! on cd 20/21 ish i think, cycle normally 28 days but last was 32 so wont be testing for ages as fed up of dissappointment already!!! (only third month of trying!)

right have read through thread and now will respond! lol might be long!

Jen, i am so sorry to hear about your m/c and about how unsupportive your company are being,i really hope you fall quickly and get all you want asap!!!! ((hug))

Jane, if you're still hanging around id like to give my support and ask when you're going to the breast clinic, i had a scare not long ago but it was just a fibroidenoma and perfectly harmless! hope all goes well, and we will miss you if you leave this thread! hope your appointment with the consultant comes soon!!

Marjormoo, welcome and good luck with ttc!!

IamBlossom, if you're still around well done for having such a short stay, please tell me your secret!!!

Aprilgirl, im so sorry to hear about your m/cs hope all goes well this time and it all happens very quickly!

Suss, welcome and fingers crossed for you!

right think iv finished, anyone i havnt mentioned i hope your all ok, come on girls we need some more BFP's

compo · 30/11/2005 12:00

sorry to hear you've been ill Satcey. I got a BFN last night So waiting for AF so can try again.

majormoo · 30/11/2005 12:28

sorry about the BFN compo.
glad you are feeling more positive Staceym11.

AF arrived for me yesterday, so am now officially in our first cycle of TTC. Have bought one of those ovulation predictor things. Bit worried I will get too clinical about the whole thing. We didn't use any 'gagdets' both times when it happened before, second month with DD and first month with baby we lost in August. Am feeling so much more worried about the whole process now after losing the baby, I think I'll need all the help I can get this time

Hiya, well, m/c confirmed a month ago tomorrow so expecting AF any day now. Having a really miserable day today as my friend at work has gone off on her mat leave and another girl I've know since college has rung up to say her no 1 is due on 22nd April. I am happy for both of them but v for me as today should have been my 12 week scan. I know I need to get the dates out of my head and work towards trying again but it is so so hard at the mo. DP is not being too supportive either as he has just sold his childhood home and is tied up with that. Sorry to go on a bit but I think I need to write it down. Sorry if I have made anyone sad

Stacy - good to see you back and pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better. Unfortunately, you do get days when you think "Why me?" but you have to go with it (like I am not very successfully doing!) and come out the other side.

Sorry ot hear about the BFN compo, fingers crossed for the next go!

Hi to Suss - fingers crossed for a super quick stay for you!

Hi to everyone else, think I am going off to have another G & T and feel a bit sorry for myself!

Oh, and to top it all off, I got released from jury duty today without actually having seen the inside of a courtroom!!!!!!!!!

suss · 30/11/2005 20:56

I am sorry Jen, but you will get pregnant again and you will have a baby. I did and if I can anybody can. Bad news I think to tell you, I think I have started bleeding, way way too early, about a week. The hospital have told me to keep taking the progestrone ( I can't spell) for a couple of days and ignore the bleeding as it might stop, but I am not hopeful and it looks like I will be ttc (IVF) sometime in March or April! Well I do try the other way occasionally, just to keep my hand in.

staceym11 · 01/12/2005 09:02

Oh jen, theres always a light at the end of the tunnel always you just need to keep a level head, we'r always here to be moaned at we all understand!!!!

i really hope the bleeding isn't anything serious suss.

well must be cd 21/22 for me so in waiting period!!!

spent all day yesterday worrying as dd had an injection day before and a late night (9.30 and bedtime is 6.30) and then slept till midday yesterday!!, she went back down at 3, i woke her at half 5, she was back in bed by half 6 and if i didnt get her up for an hour at 9.30 i think she would have slept through!!!! she went back down at half 10 and just woke up at half 8 for her bottle!!! so thats......30 hours sleep in the last two days!!! would you be worried???? she didnt eat a lot either, kept screaming when i put food in front of her, but was quite happy to drink a bottle, god knows!!!

anyway must go get dressed, hope all ok out there!

homemama · 01/12/2005 12:27

Hi girls.
Welcome back Micku and Stacey. Sorry about the bleeding Suss but try not to give up hope. Are you feeling a little better today Jen? It's not easy but does get better. I never post about my M/C because I feel like a fraud as it was so early (7wks) but I'm mentioning it for the first time today to say that it does get easier but It'll always be there. I would have been due in 2wks

OP posts:
aprilgirl · 01/12/2005 13:38

staceym11 · 01/12/2005 15:45

aprilgirl, hope you do get your bfp eventually!!

well as for me im not buying any more pg tests as i get really upset at the bfn so will just wait for an af to be really late and it will be pretty much obvious!

aprilgirl · 01/12/2005 15:57

stacey thats the way im starting to think if i am pg i will find out soon enough!! im spending my lifeworried that i cant go out and have a drinl this weekend just incase... so you call all shout at me if you here me pratteling on!!

JAG123 · 01/12/2005 19:11

Hi All

Jen - Sorry that you are having such a hard time. I wish i could say something to make you feel better but i know thats probably not possible. It will do you good to put it all down & get it out of your system.

Suss - Sorry to hear about the bleeding hopefully it won't be bad news will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Stacey - Kids can be worrying can't they. My DD got sent home from school after being sick today & can't keep anything down now. I feel so helpless when she is ill.

Well AF started today which is pretty accurate to what my Persona said. I've also found out what the stitch likes pains that i have been having for the last few months are, it turns out that i have a small hernia. I've got to decide now whether to put TTC on hold for a while & have op now or wait until i really have to have it. I can't believe that i've got to have yet another procedure.
My BF had a baby girl on Mon which is great and i am really pleased for her. Its her 3rd child in 3 years ttc seems to come easy for her. My BrP is also due on Xmas eve.

Hello to anyone i haven't mentioned.

Take Care
J

Join the club Normsknockers! HAve a large hangover today (the first this year so don't feel too guilty about it!) after lots of gin and no food last night (God, I sound like a raging dipso!)

No idea for a new thread title, am rubbish at these things!

Still feeling pretty low at the moment although now I am back at work properly I can start the hum drum routine again. Work has improved to with my direct supervisor and my Ops Director telling me that they really missed me for the 3 weeks I have been away (and not just because of the workload pressure!!!)

Off to see Harry Potter tonight with a friend as DP is sickening for something (he gets asthma quite badly so we are v wary of colds which could turn into chest infections etc)

Hope you are all ok,
J x

peachygirl · 04/12/2005 16:57

How about 'remember, remember to BD for september?'
I do a lot of lurking on this site but will be trying for real over Christmas - think I will be ovulating over chrimbo itself so will be gearing up for lots of festive BDing!

Hi Normsnokers
I think you're right an autumn one would be better, I'm really trying to think of things to do with leaves etc but somehow it's not really working!

Artoo · 05/12/2005 06:26

Hi ladies,

Just dropping in to let you know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I've just had a hectic week from hell!

I was at a friend's wedding this weekend, and so many of my old University friends have babies and small children now - it made DH and I even more broody.

Not sure what my cycle is doing this month - I'm on CD21, and my temps are all over the place and I haven't had a +ve OPK. Never mind, DH and I are at the gynaecologist in a week and a half, hopefully that will get things moving!

Hugs,
Artoo.

suss · 05/12/2005 09:35

Hi the bleeding was serious it didn't work, Feeling quite down as I was convinced we would be lucky this time, but if there is a hard way to do something you can bet I'll find it. We will be trying again next year 12th Attempt, so I would love to join the new thread, Really bad at thinking up names though, but how about: TTC class 2006/7 , that would last us for quite some time.
