Boo On the CM front, you have to check every day or two (you dont have to be religious about it) but defo not after the sechs as semen is very like FFJ (thats to help the swimmers transition from one fluid to the other), Ideally, you will have watery mucus just after your period, Egg white mucus (EWCM/FFJ) just before you ovulate and creamy after you have ovulated, basically if its Egg Whitey (ie: stretched between your fingers) you need to get busy. Once its creamy you can chill (unless you believe in implantation sechs)

I always used to check around mid morning, I know that sounds yucky as you have to do it at work but it breaks up the day and gives any stray man mayo a chance to drop out. I would check my cervix at the same time.

sunny sorry you have the bad news re MS white good but there are defo things you can do as already mentioned over in the Deli and having a test straight after Xmas/New year etc will definitely have affected his results adversely. Did you get any other figures? Motility (how many are moving) Morphology (who many are the right shape) as that is often more important than the actual count and can also be improved with all the things drom suggested.

To summarise: I would get him on a no booze/fags (anything else) diet, organic food can help too, loads of fresh vege esp dark green stuff, and things high in zinc like pumpkin seeds. Get him some Pregnacare conception, you might as well get on it yourself too as the cheapest way to buy it is in a duel pack if you take advantage of the boots 3 for 2 offers. Other than that he could try acupuncture, TB never did in the end but my needles lady said that if it didn't work on me then next step would be to get him some treatment, don't worry it wont be a topical application!!. Also I have heard good things about the pycegynol that drom mentioned, again we didn't use it but it would have been my next port of call if all of the above hadn't helped get TBs count up. Loads of luck, as others have said its a positive than you have some answers and that it is something that you can try and change, obv you know your man better than me but you might need to give him a bit of time to get used to this before you start throwing all of the above at him? They can be sensitive about their sperm, bless em!!!

SunshineonaRainyDay poor Mr Sunny. At least you have some answers though. I would echo what the other ladies above have said, particularly wrt drinking and smoking, and taking zinc/selenium/l-carnitine (Wellman supplement).

It takes 3 months for sperm to get from production to ejaculation so get him changing these things now. ALso, don't forget that sperm results aren't taken in isolation. Usually clinics will want to see about three, as the results can vary massively. Also, if MrSunny has been under the weather, it can massively impact his result, so if he's had this awful flu thing this winter that can deplete the numbers too. I think a good proportion of the FCFU BESH wins have come about from couples where the sperm results are not optimal, so there is an excellent chance still.

SunnyD big commiserations to poor MrD. On the plus side, it's definitely something you can take action about so that is very positive - plus 8 million is still quite a lot! I suspect as BB says many chaps would present with lower white goods count than normal round this time of year given how ill everyone seems to have been over the last few months. I shall keep things crossed for a big ole' FCFU win for you both :)

Apparently (this has nothing to do with tapas) FFJ and white goods can be distinguished because one dissolves in water and one does not. hello sunny sorry to hear about the white goods. I can see you've had lots of advice and don't really have any myself to offer apart that I hope you and Mr Sunny find something that works. I made the FDH take what I charmingly called spunk tablets in an efforts to combat his rock and roll life style, smoking and baths so hot he charmingly called them boil in a bags. Don't know if it made any difference at all but it made me feel better to know that I was doing something. Hmmm placebo effect by proxy?

Can't find any hot druids but there were ancient romans around at the same time. (I think, history being a very weak subject for me). Anyway I would happily paint my nekkid self blue and wrestle him!
