BrownB lovely I know exactly what you are talking about. :( You are far more hardcore than I was though; I panicked and the on-call doc rang me an ambulance. Thankfully it was driven by a BESHhusband whose missus had been though the same thing a number of times so he was ace. If you start feeling faint or wibbly do not feel at all bad about demanding people rush to your aid!

If it's any help I found that stage wore off fairly quickly but there were definitely random fits and starts going on - on the plus side perhaps you won't need the op which is one less thing to worry about.

Massive, massive unBESHly hugs & really hoping you're feeling less rotten very soon. xxx

Bitey your job does sound pretty much identical to my job. How alarming.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 12:27

owlie I am wondering if we are in fact the same person? I think you have more shoes than me though?

BB enjoy your steak, and some guiness too perhaps? Maybe Mr B can get you some spa tone on the way home?

BESHes I am going out tonight and I am going to have a beer. I can't wait, now just have to decide which one.

BarbiesBeaver · 14/01/2011 12:31

OK BrownB, back to bed with you then. I had a D & C so never had much bleeding, but if you have been through two pads since you got up that's not emergency time. If you get lots of cramps or big clots or it ramps up, then seriously think about going in.

Yep am going for insem today (no turkey baster jokes anyone please) so action stations over here.

AlpinePony · 14/01/2011 12:32

brownbear That's not good at all. :( Lots of hugs. And pads. And a quick pinch to your underarms too. Is it possible you can go to EPU rather than deal with some 12 year old in A&E? The general rule of thumb is if you're soaking through more than one pad an hour and/or sitting on a towel.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 12:55

What kind of candle do you want lighting barbiegirl?

starnosemole · 14/01/2011 13:01

Brownbear it is at times like this that I actually do feel the need to do the brackets encircling huggy thing; obviously I won't because that would be Very Wrong and get me kicked out the palace but the sentiment is there- I shall instead trip you up on the stairs so you land in my lap and I can stroke your brow. And then give you this special pencil I have bought that has BB on it for Brave Bear. And this one that has HB on it for Hot Bear, cos you still are.

barbie would you like us to make it more romantic by turning the lights down, putting on a bit of Dirty Dancing sound track, (the one where she strokes his abs)and lighting a few jo malones?

or perhaps we could set the scene behind a bus shelter with wkd bottles strewn at your feet (those ones always result in diffment)?

Swim, little sperms, swim! We shall cheer you on with all the power of the BESH.

BrownB · 14/01/2011 13:03

Owl - thanks for the hugs. Grateful for all the sympathy and kindness.

I'm afraid to say that am of the opinion that if I need to go to hospital, I'm going there in an ambulance. Fuck sitting in the waiting room for hours. Fuck that. Shouldn't be necessary anyway. My last miscarriage had the same sort of progression - 4 weeks beginning to end. ie - 5 days spotting, then a week of heavy bleeding and bad cramps, followed by petering out and almost stopping for 7-9 days, followed by further alarming blood-letting for 3-5 days. In my scan last Friday I was told that the baby/yolk sac etc had all gone, there were no visible clots, but that my womb was still 13mm thick. The gynaecologist said that anything under 15mm thick is considered likely to resolve itself. She still said that I should have another scan in a week or so, and offered to have the op to clean me out (but the way I read that offer was that it was to be scheduled after the next scan). I declined that, and am confident that this is the last bit of the womb lining and will be fine. The bleeding had almost stopped last weekend and the beginning of this week. Now it's just messy, uncomfortable and annoying [okay - it's alarming too]. No fever or bad smells so think am okay on infection front.

Hopefully will stop bleeding heavily really soon, and will drift towards stopping by Monday. (Tomorrow is 4 weeks since I started spotting.)

So - I got the second season of Misfits in the post just now. Do I watch it now, or wait for my OH...? I could always read a book. Or play Riven on my iPhone

BrownB · 14/01/2011 13:10

I should refresh my screen more often! Thanks to Starry and Alps too! Am thinking that impending insemination is far more interesting. Am burning a lavender candle here, and am thinking of you BB and willing the swimmers to be strong! Grin

Is red wine good for replacing lost blood? GrinGrinGrin

AlpinePony · 14/01/2011 13:12

Given what barbie is up to today - anyone else feel like not icing cakes or piping mash potato?

brownB :( Obviously it's all shit - but what you need to do is i) flirt outrageously with hot doctors, ii) get as much dildocam action as is possible - pref. by a hot lady doctor when your bf is watching and iii) steal drugs. It's the only way.

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 14/01/2011 13:14

NOw then BrownGirlInTheRing, step away from the red wine . Guinness has much more iron in it.

Seriously though, I'm very glad you are orf to the horspital - it sounds as though this is all very scary and it's where you should be at the moment. I'm so sorry you're going through this :( but very admiring of your courage.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 13:14

Yes it is. Again, not a Dr but very emphatic and that makes it true.

BrownB · 14/01/2011 13:29

Fanks Aries and everyone else. Signing out for a short while... xx

milanomum · 14/01/2011 14:33

Browney you are my hero. You are dealing with it all so bloody well.
P.S. need Riven tips?

Barbs Excitement!! fingers crossed!

Biteme your work situation is really shite. I really hope you get it sorted - lots of stamping of feet and finger-pointing-at-chests to be done there.

Aries ...

Molester after that pencil reference I think I luffs you.

InTheSunshine · 14/01/2011 14:41

Blimey just logged in whilst on another dull conference call and OMG BB you are a stalwart. I have candles lit all over my desk for you.

Moley perhaps we could set up BESH cheerleading squad for Barbies swimmers? I can see us in Glee style uniforms with pom poms and overly white smiles Grin

In bleeping bastard droid news mine has stopped. Now this happened last month & I got all excitied thinking implantation bleed blah blah but I am being realistic this time. My body is just fucking with me.

Medee · 14/01/2011 15:16

Thinking of you Brownie.

Barbie?sTurkeyBaster hope it goes well.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 15:44

Just been having a nostalgic dribble in the deli and thought I would bring this young gentlemen over to the hut in the spirit of sharing!

Ariesgirl · 14/01/2011 15:48

Fucking fucking fucking cockwanking bollocks. Shit. Um...bugger?

I HATE this fucking fucking waiting. I WISH the twatting droid would just start in a prompt and decent fashion, instead of these BLOODY STUPID AND ANNOYING little prods and aches. If truth be told I feel no different from last month and the last 288 months before that apart from being repulsively farty.

And FB is broken.

As you were.

Ariesgirl · 14/01/2011 15:49

And I can't POAS stick because I am too pathetic to be able to face seeing a -ive.

:(

InTheSunshine · 14/01/2011 16:04

I hear you Rie

owlbooty · 14/01/2011 16:05

Farty you say?

Farty is always promising Grin but then also sometimes the product of too many baked beans/pints of lovely guinness.

Do not give in to the menkul, that's just what the evil metal beeping bastard WANTS you to do.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 16:07

On aries Sad How can we take your mind off it?

What about a reverie based on him and this?

starnosemole · 14/01/2011 16:10

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 16:36

Yet alarmingly is the same person who was in lock stock! Police haven't come yet but a helicopter has just gone over head causing me and the kitten to tremble!
