Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 14:03

Lets hope its as lucky for you slinkie!!

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:04

I used to smoke up until I found out I was pg then I started again when I found out there was no heartbeat and I quite again about 2 months ago.

I dont drink unless my family have come over for dinner and then I have 1/2 glass of white wine.

We're moving 2 a 3bed house in a couple of weeks which is about 1/2 mile from where I work so am gonna cycle to work for abit to shed the worst. As I normally am around 12 stone (still overwight) all this excess is depressed eating (chocolate rules!!) Is it safe to still bike ride when you're pg for the first part? or too much of a strain?

Sorry for all the q's

Diddle · 27/09/2005 14:05

mumswish - your doc sounds horrible, how dare they say that to you. i don't think being overweigth can cause miscarriage and i have read a lot about miscarriage. But i know it can cause conception trouble.
It is very unfair that we don't have our babies. If its and consolation i know lots of people who have had miscarriages and now have wondeful kids. I got pregnant after my first staright away but lost that one too. its very very hard. btut here are lots of people on here who have tried for ages and others have only tried for a few months. some ahve been lucky others haven't. I think sometimes a lot of this comes down to stress we are all putting on ourselves and sometimes taking a break from it or having relaxation therapies can make the world of difference. There is no reason why you can't conceive again soon. I feel that i am overweight 5"6 and 12st and i am really trying now to do something about it, for my own health and piece of mind more than anything. Its tough though i love my biccies

Congrats to you missmibaby!! I'm so happy for you i really am. Happy days!!

Good luck to you slinkstah but I@m sure you won't need it.

I'm so happy for everyone who is having their child.

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:12

Thanks guys. Luckily she's not my regular doctor so I dont have to c her again.

I'm so happy and excited for everyone.

Is anyone else testing? or are we back on the bding again?

I'm going to tell my boyf if he wants his child to be oldest he needs to get jump on!!! ha ha I'm just dreading stoping taking the pill cos it always means that I'm in for a good couple of weeks of bleeding (when I'm normally only bleeding for 3/4 days) but I'll go through hell for my kid. So heres to jumping on the bed backwards Cheers

slinkstah · 27/09/2005 14:21

i blame stress for everything- in my situation anyway, i was trying to complete the last weeks of my 2nd year of my degree - which i was coping with ok and then i was told by the council i had to move house as my flat was unsafe and they had to do works in it. then they offered me a horrible place to live which was damp and didn't even have a proper kitchen. i was strssed to the maxxxx and started feeling unwell rang midwife and they said all is ok. i went for a scan and a antenatal appointment and told them i was feeling unwell and having alot of braxton hicks they tested my urine and said alls well. 2 days later i was back telling them i am still not well. they finally did an examination and said i am 3 cm dialated! then the nightmare began!

this time i am going to be stress free as i have moved into a nicer place which i am happier with and i am going to be a stay at home mum for my next pg and ill go to yoga etc

i am hoping / praying that i haven't got a incompetent cervix - they say they cannot tell untill it happens twice! i could not go through it again.

Diddle · 27/09/2005 14:24

missmibaby - sounds like a positive to me congratulations keep testing to make sure its there, then get yourself off to the doctors

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 14:31

Slinkie - I'm so sorry to hear you had such a rough time of it. I suppose stress could contribute, but then again, think of the women who lose DHs or family members whilst PG, and when I use dto worry about MC during my other PGs my lovely MW told me that there wasn't a increase in MCs and stillbirths during the war and everybody was stressed then.

Don't blame yourself, hun. xxxx

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:36

sorry to hear it's not going to well for you slinkstah. Don't blame yourself tho, that is the one thing I've learnt from this is its not my fault I did bugger all and still lost my baby so it cant be helped. I'm sure eerything will be fine for you this time tho, besides we're all routing for you.

Diddle · 27/09/2005 14:39

oh slinkstah - you've had a rough time of it haven't you. but please believe when we say that stress won't have caused your miscarriage, it happens for so many reasons. Normally when the baby gets to a point in its development and the cells that it requires are not there, so your body aborts it.

Congrats Missmibaby! Really happy for you!
A big huge welcome to the newbie mumswish -Sorry for your loss, i'm sure you'll find all the suport from this great bunch of lovely ladies! If i was you i would come off the pill now! I came off the pill in december last year, started to TTC in March, M/C in April and then my last cycle was a possible M/C too but i refused to get it confirmed!
Anyway a big welcome to you x
Diddle - hows u huni?
CH - How you doing? Haven't chatted to you for ages! Hope all is well in ur crazy world?
Xena - SO please all is well with your beanie! How are you?
Hope everyone else is well, haven't had much time to post lately and catch up, been mega busy as am off on my hols with DP on friday - a week in Tenerife - cant wait!
I'm on CD 25 today, have been having awful cramps past twop days, like AF pains but that is way too early for me, dont expect AF for another 10-15 days or so! Hmmm - well off to the doctors tonight to get myself checked out! Ouch, quite painful!

Hope your all having a good day! xxx

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:46

lottie lou - sorry to hear your not feeling to well. It's not good having cramps. I hate mine too. Thanks for the message, its nice to talk to people and get their feedback as you're the only people I know who have been through it, none of my family have.

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:47

Quick question then I promise I'll leave you alone. I promise!!

I've taken half of my pack of pills, should I carry on going until I get to the end or can I stop now?

Diddle · 27/09/2005 14:50

mumswish - i'd stop now

OP posts:
Lottielou · 27/09/2005 14:53

Mumswish - yes i know what you mean, i think without MN and espesh Diddle i would have gone crazy (i know some of you think thats debateable that i'm not already bonkerz, hee hee ) without this support!
Re: your pill! I would carry on taking it till the end of the pack. If you come off now then you could be waiting weeks for your cycle to regulate (as much as it can, you seem to have irregular ones like me, mine get upto CD45 ). when i came off the pill i finished the pack completely then didn't take it again! Which one are you on?
Oh and please dont appologise for asking questions, thats what we are here for!

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 14:55

Diddle - Would u stop now? I was advised by my doc to complete the packet and then come off! Everyone is different tho!
Mumswish - perhaps u should try and get advice for your doc, or your local family plannig clinic!

mumswish · 27/09/2005 14:58

yeh that might be a good idea. Dont want to go back to docs tho. I'm bit scared of them. Will check to see if local clinic here somewhere.

I thought I was meant to finish pack but best check first.

Thanks guys your so helpful.

Ok so enough about me, what have you gals all been upto. Where are we on pg's? i thought I counted 4. How many more to test? Oh I'm so excited I cant wait to find out if anyone else has their happy moment.

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 15:03

Mumswish - Try ur local family planning clinic, mine is very helpful!
We had quite a few BFP's on the last thread, and so far one on this one. Not quite sure who is due to test next, i loose track if i'm not on here everyday! Been soooo busy!
I'm on CD25, my cycles range from 35-45, have been BD'ing as much as possible and was quietly quite confident that when i test on the 8th i would get my long awaited BFP but since the past couple of days, getting these pains, am now not quite sure. Need to wait to see what the doc says.

mumswish · 27/09/2005 15:05

Can they not be pg pains? (the egg embedding?) I hope I'm not out of line sayin that as I dont if anyone wants to hope or not.

I hope they are for you lottielou that would be great to have another one!

slinkstah · 27/09/2005 15:14

yeah they could be the egg embedding my ds and dd i did not feel the egg embedding but with my recent pg i felt it and it was relly bad cramping and i told my dp i was going to get af the next day but i didn't

mumswish · 27/09/2005 15:16

that would be so good,

I've just rung family planning clinic and they are getting a doc to ring me back which is nice.

I wasn't sure whether I should ring me docs and ask them to book me for an appointment but I'm really worried I'm going to get someone like the other woman.

O well, here I am worrying about nothing again

carly82 · 27/09/2005 15:16

afternoon ladies!
i wonder ir someone to could answer or try to answer my dilema. i am currently on day 15 but am still having slight bleeding (sorry if tmi!) am i still likely to get pg as today is one of my most fertile days and i dont want to risk missing a whole month

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 15:16

yes well i have thought that but with my last PG i didn't have them, allthough i know each PG can be different i haven't got my hopes up!
Dont wrooy, i dont mind you saying that, please feel free to say what you want on here - no one minds, this is one of the places we can be ourselves.
I really do hope that i get my BFP. Diddle is due to test on the same day as me. We are clones, ha ha we M/C in april we were a day within eachother and when we were waiting for our AF's to arrive, they came at the same time! We have pretty much been in sync ever since. We are now on CD 25 and 26 and have made a pact to test on the same day! I hope it's a sign!
