Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

CH - Sorry your feeling poo! Get some hot ribena down your neck and a hot water bottle, wrap up under a blankie and get DH to rub your feet for you! always makes me feel better! Awww huni xx
Yeah work is mega busy, it's my fault really as only booked the holiday on thursday so have to prepare all of my clients and accounts ready for when i'm off! God damn it! Oh well, i need to keep focussing in those cocktails (non alcoholic of course, just in case - a girl can live in hope) by the pool and all will be well!

carly82 · 27/09/2005 15:51

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 15:53

Lottie frantically running round her office searching for choccie now!

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 15:54

Okay, seeing as we are on the subject of bleeding (bleugh!) may I ask you for your opinions on this...?

Had my smear done yesterday (double bleugh!) and the nurse told me I had blood around my cervix. She asked me if I bleed at odd times in the month and I said no but explained about MC (told you this already, I know). I hadn't noticed any blood so assumed it was a tiny bleed confined to aroung my cervix. Woke up this morning, went to the loo (TMI I know!) and noticed some pinky coloured discharge (YUK! I know but bare with me!). I'm a bit worried as my cycles has always been 28 days and I'm on CD 20/21. So, what do ya think? Should I be worried?

mumswish · 27/09/2005 15:57

ok really sh**ng it now, Never knew this

Contraception

If your pregnancy is planned and you're on the pill, it's best to wait three months after stopping before trying to conceive. This will reduce the risk of miscarriage. Also keep a record of your menstrual periods so your due date can be calculated more accurately after conception.

Is this why I mced? I was still taking my pill for a month before I realised Iwas pg

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 16:00

Mumswish - hunni, don't beat yourself up like this. I'm sure what you did made no difference. I know its hard, and I still think about what I could have done differently to stop my MC. But really, there is nothing you could have done. Please don't be hard on yourself, sweetie. This might sound a bit harsh, but what is done is done. I don't mean that in a dismissive way, but you can't dwell on what could or would have happened, does that make sense?

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 16:00

CH - Well if you had your smear y'day then the chances are that you were just disturbed a little up there! Dont worry bout the TMI, a TMI question comming up... What is the pinky discharge like? How much is there, is it a lot? I dont think i's personally worry too much hun. If it gets any worse tho then i would seek medical advice!

mumswish · 27/09/2005 16:02

So If I stop taking my pill and try within the next month does that mean I've got more of a chance of a mc?

On a nother note

Whats TMI?

carly82 · 27/09/2005 16:02

lottielou lol at thought of frantic search taking place
mumswish cant offer much advice but i dont think the pill made you m/c all its says on the instruction leaflet i managed to dig out is that if you should suspect pregancy, to stop taking(for obvious reasons) but that it shouldnt affect the rest of the pg hope that helps

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 16:03

Oh Mumswish - Please dont think like that! It reallyis best that you dont look up things like that! I truly believe that we dont do anything to cause M/C's (unless there is a medical factor against us) and it was the wrong time for your body to carry a baby! i know it sounds a cliche but when it's the right time for you bosy to carry then you will!

Come on put a smile on that face! x

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 16:06

Lottie - lol at me being "diturbed"!! I know that Ha-ha!! I'm not overly worried coz it might be blood hanging around from last Af. Pink discharge looked just like that - a bit like CM but light pink (obvioulsy blood) instead of clear or cloudy/white. There wasn't much and I haven't seen anymore, although I haven't been to the loo for a while. And its not enough to wear a panty liner or anything.

Sorry everyone else, TMI (too much information) I know...

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 16:10

TMI = Too much info

When I went to the docs to ask about comming off the pill i was advised to come off when i had finished my cycle and if i was going to TTC then to wait 3 months to let my bidy regualte back to normal and have 'natural' Af's!

I really wud chat to someone medical bout it hun! x

mumswish · 27/09/2005 16:11

So if I was to become pg in the next couple of months there should be no xtra reason for me 2 mc other than it just not being the right time. Dont worry guys I'm not upset, I am actually quite happy, I look at it in a clinical way now, I see the mc as a way of preparing my body, i just want to know if there is anything that could have caused it as I dont want the baby to b wasted. I dont know if you understand what I mean, I'm confusing at the best of times.

By the way, when I went for what was meant to be a date scan they said I was already 10wks along I was sure I had only conceived 4 maybe 8 wks earlier so why did the baby grow so big so quick only to give up? Dont molly coddle gals, I just wondered whether anyone knew thats all as the hospital wouldnt help at all just kept saying that it was over now.

Anyway.. I'm going to sort out the post and do a stationary order, will check in before I finish work and no doubt before that aswel. I'm addicted already!! ha ha

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 16:12

oh CH so u dont have to worry then, just keep an eye on it!

My pains are getting worse...Ouch

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 16:13

I'm sorry I haven't been able to contribute to the pill conversation. I don't know much about the pill, coz I only took it for about 6 months before I found out I can't take it! I have Crohn's disease which means it doesn't absorb and its success rate is only about 60% in me. Its a bit like if you have a tummy bug whilst taking the pill and you have to be careful for a week after. Except it is constant for me.

Lottielou · 27/09/2005 16:18

Mumswish - I really think that M/C happen for a reason, that is very very cruel i know but your thoughts on your body not being ready is for me the way that i look at it. I have tried not to ask questions about all the if's, Y's,But's and maybe's. It's torture. The pain will never go away and you will always think about the baby you have lost but it will eat away at you if u keep beating yourself up about it and thinking about things that you 'could've done differently'

xxx

slinkstah · 27/09/2005 16:25

ive never been on the pill - well i tryed it for a few weeks ut ended up in a right mess mentally! psycho bitch i think my boyf at time called me. i never tried it again as it was like really bad pms everyday lol. i had the coil in until last pg it worked well and kept me pg free for 5 years and got pg straight away after i had it out.

Coathanger · 27/09/2005 16:28

I was supposed to be having a coil fitted the month I found out I was PG! Was waiting to come on so they could fit it (was horrified to hear it had to be fitted whilst you are bleeding!) and I didn't come on! The idea of a coil does appeal to me, its just the fitting of it. But no contraception for me at the mo, ta very much!

mumswish · 27/09/2005 16:30
