hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

laughinglemons · 11/12/2010 17:30

Hello. Waves to getdown. I if get my period this week I am going to cry too, having been ttc#1 for about 9 months. Its suddenly hit me hard that I want a baby - am 35 in january.

baby dust to all

TeaBaggy · 11/12/2010 19:37

is it too late to claim a seat?

this will be our first month of ttc as i have only just got my periods back after coming off the pill 6 months ago! no idea if its a one off but had already decided to not go to docs till the new year so going to give it a go and hope we get lucky

this will be our first child. been broody for ages but decided to wait till 2010 for financial reasons and now 2010 is almost over!

GetDownYouWillFall · 11/12/2010 20:14

Waves to Laughinglemons hope you don't get AF this week, have you got any symptoms???

Welcome to TeaBaggy

I am on CD11 nothing interesting going on. Arrrghh. So much waiting!

EnglishCountryGirl · 11/12/2010 22:38

Good luck Laughinglemons - Hope AF doesn't get you.

Hi TeaBaggy - We are in a similar situation. Been broody for ages, but never been the right time until now!

Managed SWI twice this month and feeling quite positive because I feel really crampy, my boobs are really sore and I feel slightly sick, but can't believe we will manage it on the first month of trying. I really wouldn't be surprised if I have read far too much into it all! Xmas Blush

Going to test for the first time on Friday with one of those high-sensitivity HPT since we are going out for dinner at a really nice restaurant and I might have a couple of glasses of wine if I get a BFN.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 12/12/2010 07:56

Morning,

Welcome aboard Teabaggy and EnglishCountryGirl, fingers crossed that this is your month :)

Laughinglemons, have you thought about going to the doctor? I'm 33 and giving myself three more months till I go to the doctor, can't really afford to wait much longer :(

On a more positive note, hope everyone is having a nice weekend, am doing some more cooking for xmas today and generally having a day at home pottering around Xmas Smile

ravenlocks · 12/12/2010 10:01

Is it ok to be on 2 buses? If so, can I join you? Am on my second ride on August bus and am now on 2WW. Ov'd on Thursday, so FF has given me an estimated due date of 1 Sept since I Ov'd a day after was predicted.

So (fingers crossed!) might have a Sept baby after all.

Stats

Cycle 8 UCL28 AF due 22 Dec

laughinglemons · 12/12/2010 10:33

Hi Twojack have had blood tests all fine and DH has given a sample and again all fine. I was thinking about going back and asking for some scans to checked nothing in blocked but NHS say you have to be trying for 2 years..

Thanks English and good luck

Getdown good luck with the SWI. Symptoms. thank you for asking. well yes, felt very hot and not hungry but this might just be left over from having the flu last weekend (although i am usually always a good eater) and have had some cramping this yesterday and friday but AF due on thurs so not sure if cramping early rumblings of AF or not!

welcome ravenlocks

broodycoilsout · 12/12/2010 11:15

sorry to hear there hasnt been such good news for a few of you recntly :'(
BUT
there's always next month!!!!

have worked out that as AF due 28th dec, unless it arrives early I can test boxing day!!! :-) decided against testing christmas day as I wouldnt want a (real or false) BFN to spoil the day, and the excitement of taking a test the next day may make xmas day even more fun!

EnglishCountryGirl · 12/12/2010 11:24

Very funny - twice in the last twenty four hours I have been overwhelmed by the smell of something ordinary and decided I must be pregnant, and then DH has also commented on the smell. Either DH is coming out in sympathy or I am going mad (much more likely)!

Has anyone else had this? Where you convince yourself that you are experiencing symptoms and then find out they are completely unrelated?

If I keep going like this and it takes a while for us to conceive, I have a feeling I'm going to end up completely bonkers!

EnglishCountryGirl · 12/12/2010 11:25

Broody - Good luck for Boxing Day. So exciting!

snowqueenrollo · 12/12/2010 13:37

oh.my.head.

drank far too much last night. Friends crashed their car on the way to ours, both ok but car a write off.
Hangover and hyper 5 year old not a good combination. We have been quite mean though and just sent him upstairs to wake our guest who is still not up Grin

summerpixie · 12/12/2010 18:46

Hi, I've been lurking around on the August Bus board but never signed up. Was in Cycle 1 of TTC#2 but AF got me today, so I have plucked up the courage to join up.
I really wanted an August baby as DS is a July one and the summer really is a great time. I am also a teacher so a late summer baby is always an advantage. However, a DC2 is great no matter when it is born!

My cycle has been playing up since the start of term (mainly female dept in an all girls school!). Prior, I was 28 days on the dot. Now it is anywhere between 24-28. I have also had this deathly flu for the past week, so currently I am feeling very sorry for myself...
So, Hi to all and may it be a very short journey for us all!

Jojay BFP 1st Dec

Moved onto the next bus

Evening all, just thought I would update the stats and include Jojay who is the only BFP so far, there must be some more coming soon!!

Tamashii · 12/12/2010 21:00

Hi ravenlocks

Sorry you still haven't had BFP but nice to see you again. Think it was the April bus we were on together months ago??? Seems like forever ago now.

I'm finding it a bit difficult to get excited about it all even though every single month we managed to SWI on the "right" days I am secretly convinced I am PG only to be really down when AF arrives. Am trying not to get too obsessed with it all this month but it is impossible. I have stopped talking about it at all in RL as I just don't think this is ever going to happen...

I am sure I will get all the usual "Sooooo.... We think it's time you guys had another one!!!" crap at Xmas time since all the relatives will be together and that is always what happens. You just feel like screaming don't you? Can't imagine how awful it is for the rest of you though.

I am just counting my blessings that we have our amazing DS though. I am lucky to have him!

Good luck n I hope there's a tonne of BFP's on here soon.

waterplate · 12/12/2010 21:06

Hi everyone can I join please? TTC #1 after two miscarriages (July and last week) so waiting for next cycle to try properly but hopefully that would give us a late Sept due date IF my cycle goes back to normal relatively quickly after MC. It did after the last one so fingers crossed.

I'm getting really impatient to get pregnant again - both early miscarriages so if I have one more they will investigate to see if there is a problem; the chances are relatively good for a healthy pregnancy though apparently which would be THE BEST!

Good luck to one and all with trying!

conkertree · 12/12/2010 21:18

Af finally arrived on Thursday so I am now properly on the bus (glad I saved a seat as it's getting pretty full).

English- totally know what you mean about unrelated symptoms convincing you that you could be pg - we weren't even trying last month, but I had so many pg symptoms (sore nipples, felt dizzy like with ds1, nausea etc) that I was starting to think maybe I could be pg but I think I must have had a bug of some sort. Was still disappointed when af arrived, but had absolutely no right to be.

Snow queen- worry to hear about your friends but glad they are ok.

Hope this is a lucky bums especially for those who have been on a few buses now.

conkertree · 12/12/2010 21:18

Hmm.. A lucky bus that was. Not sure if that was Freudian slip or my iPad deciding for me again.

conkertree · 12/12/2010 21:20

X post with water plate. Sorry to hear about the mc. Fingers crossed for a late September date for you.

monkeyblonde · 13/12/2010 07:16

Is anyone using/used Clearblue digital OPKs? I think that I started using them late this month (but was SWIing before). They have two blue lines when you pull them apart - like an HPT. Do you know if the lines match whether you are ovulating? My second line is getting lighter so hopefully I ovulated when I thought I did - just before I started using them.

Any help gratefully received!

Hi all. I was on the thread a while back but never put my stats up as dont know when AF due.

Did a cheap amazon test today. There was a line but after testing again with tescos think it was just a evaporation line Sad

But AF has not arrived and neither did I feel like she is one her way so please keep your fingers crossed. Last week and over weekend I had some odd pains like I was being stratched inside - but not at all period like.

broodycoilsout · 13/12/2010 10:39

hello waterplate so sorry 2 hear your sad news (tho r prob fed up of ppl saying that 2 u by now). so many ppl who have mc's go on 2 have perfectly healthy babies (a couple of friends of ours whom we didnt know were pregnant we met at our 1st baby scan-they were there as they were having mc, same again with our 2nd. a few months later they fell pregnant again and have a 3year old baby boy now, someone we used 2 work with had mc's between her dcs-she has 3 grown up healthy 'kids', i could go on, but u get the jist)- AND YOU'LL BE ONE OF THEM!!

Welcome reality - dont ur insides feel empty once the coils removed?! -or was that just me? Blush This is also our 1st month ttc after coil, hoping it will b 1st time lucky!! Grin

Fingerscrossed1 · 13/12/2010 14:11

Just had a read of what's been going over past couple of days, thinking of everyone.

Does anyone have an experience of ovulation pains? I'm on day 13 of my cycle and this morning had quite painful cramps which felt almost like period pains but I also felt slightly sick...just wondered whether that's what it could be?

MrsSatsuma · 13/12/2010 16:27

No idea I'm afraid... I had that yesterday but I suspect it was just a tummy bug! Would rather have been ovulating though...

I never put my stats up and have been absent for a while due to school stress! I was going to do the usual copy and paste everyone else's but not sure which bit to change, so am just going to give mine so that I don't muck it up!!
