hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

OP posts:
TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 08/12/2010 06:53

Doh!!!

Got my name wrong, will sort it later Xmas Grin

broodycoilsout · 08/12/2010 19:00

k, a few silly questions i know i should know, yet can't seem to remember..

  • dh wants swi everynight, i'd prefer and also think every 2-3 nights (where possible with work etc) would b better- is everynight 2 often? is every 3 ish nights not often enough? (im not ready 2 calculate when i ovulate using for e.g using temps, also only had mirena removed 2 weeks ago, with bleeding only ending 2days ago so have no idea when period /ovulation due)

*and ive actually forgotten my other q's now im on here!!

mslk · 08/12/2010 20:50

Hi Broody from what I've seen on the web the advice seems to be to have SWI every two or three days throughout the month. This is my aim with perhaps a bit of extra effort when I think I'm about to OV.

TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 08/12/2010 21:02

I agree with mslk apparently there is some advice that SWI every night makes the sperm less potent, every other day is better, plus you're less likely to get any sore bits (sorry TMI I know Xmas Blush)

HmRo · 08/12/2010 21:54

Tamashii · 09/12/2010 20:20

Hello.

Can I hop on the September bus please?
Sorry I haven't read the whole thread yet...
I was on the March/April/May buses but got off the bus completely for a while since I had a very early MC then.

We have decided not to wait any longer since I am over 35 and we always thought we would have given up but we're trying to stay positive and here we go again...
I don't think I can go it alone so would love some virtual hand holding here.

Tamashii TTC#2 cycle 1 after MC UCL 33-35 AF due 21 Dec

broodycoilsout · 09/12/2010 22:11

Haven't been on much recently. Welcome to all the new recruits. AF due 16th Dec ish... not holding out much hope to be honest.

DH doesn't seem to understand that we have to make more of an effort! He is very much of the opinion that it will happen BUT at the same time he really wants a baby. This is only our 4th month of TTC so I can't complain.

Hello - any seats left? please can I get on too? I'm new to MN, just finding my way around...

I'm TTC #2, cycle 3, UCL 25-29 days AF due 29 Dec-ish!

Cheers Xmas Smile

monkeyblonde · 10/12/2010 11:35

Can anyone offer any advice on implantation bleeding? I think that I ovulated around Monday this week and BDd on Sun and Mon. Today I have spotting (which I never have). Am I getting over excited? Today is day 15 or 16 of a 28 day cycle.

mslk · 10/12/2010 12:48

Hi everyone and welcome to those just joining.

Not sure on implantation bleeding monkey different sites say different things, sorry.

I'm trying the grapefruit juice thing. Any ideas how much/often to drink it?

Fingerscrossed1 · 10/12/2010 16:01

Hi there. Can I hop on as well?

I'm new to mumsnet...have been reading through various threads over the past few weeks but have just plucked up the courage to join in!

TTC no 1 so got a lot to learn. Great to hear about other people's expreiences as none of my close friends are in the same situation and I just find myself wanting to talk about pregnancy and babies all the time :)

Evening all, welcome aboard OutIntoTheBlue and Fingerscrossed1

Having never been pregnant before Monkey I can only pass on what I have read, apparently there should be brown blood if it's implanation, sounds like it might be around the right time, but I suspect that you might have to embark upon the dreaded two week wait!!! Let us know how you get on!!!

mslk, there was some talk about the grapefruit thing on the August bus, off the top of my head I think that you did need to take some every day prior to ovi and it was quite a lot too, but I might have misremembered.

mslk · 10/12/2010 21:11

welcome Fingerscrossed1

Thanks TwoJack I'll see if I can find it, thought I'd seen it somewhere.

OPKs have arrived and SWI will commence this wkend, sorry if TMI

snowqueenrollo · 11/12/2010 09:48

AF got me this morning after my body cruelly led me to believe I might be pregnant.

Anyway that's me off the August Bus and hopping on this one.

Will sort my stats out later when I have a moment to check my diary.

GetDownYouWillFall · 11/12/2010 10:07

Oh Queenrollo Sad It is totally gutting. Am so sorry. I know how you feel. Last cycle I was getting my hopes up as I had lots of crampy feelings, and even started to get nausea. Then bloody evil red tide of doom arrived. Angry

Cycle day 1 is always hideous. But you will feel a little bit better tomorrow.

getdown This has been the first time she arrived that I properly had tears with DP, i suppose it's because it's been a whole year with no luck.

The good news (in a way) is that after taking my herbal stuff I have two cycles that were dead on 33 days, so I think maybe I ov'd later than i thought in the last cycle so this time need to make more effort after i think the EWCM has gone.

Fortunately my dearest friend is here this weekend (also long term TTC but with a MC in May)so I have some solidarity and also a distraction. Other friends arriving for just tonight, so it will be fantastic food (he used to chef), lots of laughter and as i'm not PG i'll have a tipple or two as well.

Off to take DS Christmas shopping later, i let him pick sweets and stuff for his grandparents and his dad. I will definately need a stiff drink after Christmas shopping with a 5 year old.

TwoJackRussellslostinthesnow · 11/12/2010 14:29

Hi there Queenrollo, sorry to hear that you got AF, hopefully you have a good weekend and things look a little brighter soon, I've not been trying for quite so long, but it's so disappointing when you think you are in with a chance and then bam there she is!
