hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

Hi to all, I've added your stats MrsSatsuma, am a bit of a geek so quite like doing it :)

Fingerscrossed, DietCoke, I've been getting strange twinges in my groin area, but not sure if it's ovulation pains or me just being very aware of my body, cos I should have been all done and dusted with that last week!

Fingers crossed those pains are the right ones!!!

MrsHende · 13/12/2010 19:07

Hello everyone,

You all sound so lovely and friendly I decided to stop just reading this forum and jump in!

We've been TTC#1 for 8 months with no joy. Not sure if we're doing something wrong!

AF is 4 days late and no sign yet but did a test last night and got another BFN. I'm using the Period Tracker app on my iPod and have been surprised over the months to discover that I have such varying lengths of cycle - anything from 25-34 days. Could this mean anything?

My DH is so kind and good at keeping my chin up but he looked so sad last night. :(

On a cheerier note, I'm chuffed that I've used 4 abbreviations in my first post! (Always look on the bright side!)

waterplate · 13/12/2010 20:44

Hi everyone,
I know what you mean about thinking far too much about every tiny twinge - I have definitely diagnosed myself as pregnant when I wasn't a few times. I have now accepted that menstrual symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms and I should just ignore it all til AF is late AND I have a BFP!

Found out today that a couple who got married a week after us (and whose wedding we went to at the end of our honeymoon) are 12 weeks - scan pics on Facebook etc. Quite sad for us after 2 mc but then again hopefully it is inspiration that it will be us soon!

Also felt evil for being jealous!!! Feeling a bit better after a dinner of "party food" courtesy of my lovely DH (who I think is more upset about other friends getting pregnant than I am, so I feel less bad than I would if he was a total saint about it, bless him!)

Fingers crossed that everyone's twinges are what they want!

mslk · 13/12/2010 22:28

Evening everyone and hello to all the new ladies.

Here's hoping a little Christmas magic makes all our symptom spotting and twinges come true.

Fingerscrossed1 · 14/12/2010 11:45

Waterplate, just wanted to say don't feel guilty for feeling jealous...you're only human and it's completely natural to feel like that when you want a baby of your own.I'm sure most of us have felt like that at some point.

Nice to hear that other people obsessively 'symptom spot' too!

ShoopShoop · 14/12/2010 12:05

Hello Everyone

I've been reading all your posts for a while (I promise I haven't been stalking!!), and have decided to post my first post today :o

We're TTC baby number one, and this is our first month of giving it a go!! I have no idea about my cycle as I've been on the pill for so many years. I'm now off the Cerazette and have been scaring myself by reading lots of stories about couples having difficulties conceiving after taking that brand of pill..... :(

So, here's hoping we all have a productive month!!

xxx

PS - please could some lovely person add me into the stats....I'm not quite sure how to do it (apologies)....thanks!!

chocolatebuttontheif · 14/12/2010 12:18

Any seats left on board?

I came off the pill at the end of November, so not sure about my UCL or AF due date, although I got a +OPK yesterday.

hello all!
shoopshoop i believe it usually takes a few months 2 concieve after coming off the pill-only took us 2-3 cycles with ds 2 tho, so cant b so bad :-)

ShoopShoop · 14/12/2010 12:50

Thanks broodycoilsout it's good to know it only took 2-3 cycles with you. Because I've been on the pill constantly for 12 years, I have absolutely no idea what my cycle is like or when it will get back to normal. Ah well - I'll just use the first few cycles as a learning experience :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/12/2010 12:52

Hey lovely people

I've just dropped off the August bus and here I am...

Quick bit about me. I'm TTC #2 and have been trying for over a year now. During that year I've had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage at 13 weeks so it definitely hasn't been a smooth time. Our DS is 2.5 now - we concieved him first month of trying so it's been a real shock having all these problems. That said my fear of not having another child is greater than my fear of losing another pregnancy....

same for morayrose
good luck to you both!

Fingerscrossed1 · 14/12/2010 14:24

Would some kind person be able to add me to the list too? This is our second month of ttc for the first time. I'm not sure how long my cycle is either as have been on the pill for about 10 years Confused

ShoopShoop · 14/12/2010 15:03

Hi FingersCrossed....it's so confusing isn't it. I have no idea about my cycle either, as I said in my previous post. I'm now obsessing over every tiny feeling in my body, even though I know the likelihood of ACTUALLY conceiving in the first month after coming off the pill is low..... :(

Will be keeping fingers and toes crossed though!!

Arabella36 · 14/12/2010 15:08

Hi, I've been posting on here for a while now but haven't added any stats as have decided to wait to try until Jan. Anyway DH and I ended up SWI ( where W= WITHOUT) on the day after my 2 peak days on CBFM. It always reads low fertility on the day after the peak so I thought we'd def not conceive. And the egg is only supposed to last for 12 hours. Also, having had a few drinks I felt quite confident it would be fine!Blush

Anyway, I'm sure I'll not conceive but someone else has told me that it's actually very possible to have done so. So I'll add my name to the list ( if someone else would kindly do it as I don't know how, sorry!) even though am not expecting anything. Can be a practice run!

Good luck to everyone else, having followed your stories I'm looking forward to seeing lots of you having BFPs Xmas Smile.

TTC#2 CD20 AF due 23rd Dec

Arabella36 · 14/12/2010 15:10

Snoop shoop, lots of people on here say you're particularly likely to get pregnant immediately after stopping the pill so don't be too pessimistic!

chocolatebuttontheif · 14/12/2010 16:18

Shoop shoop, I came off the pill last month, and also thought it would take a least a couple of months to start ovulating. I've been doing OPK's anyway (out of curiosity) and got a + yesterday.

Also my sister got pregnant in her 2nd cycle after 15 years on the pill!

tutormummy · 14/12/2010 17:14

Please add me to the list too! been ttc #2 for 6 months but this is only my 3rd cycle - v irregular periods - UCL 40+....!

Last period was 12th Nov - think AF must be due any time from 20th Dec onwards

No idea when I've OVd or even if it's happened yet... suffice to say that irregular ps are pretty knachering - haha

Like KnitterNotTwitter we conceived dd (2.5) v easily (considering irreg. periods) so this has been an interesting 6mths

feel helpless because can't do OPKs, etc... just got to keep on at it Xmas Blush

Went to ask the doctor what there is to help but she was pretty unsympathetic as we already have dd.

So that's me. Thanks for listening and really looking forward to hearing some good news from some of you soon :)

Hi all, I've added tutormummy onto the list and Arabella36

I was mooching about on the August bus and noticed that rugbywidow was there, I think she might not be back, but not sure really...

Seems like it's me and tutormummy up next, could be a long week to wait.....

waterplate · 14/12/2010 20:07

Thanks fingerscrossed, glad to know I'm normal even though I feel a bit mean! Feel much better today.

Re stats I don't know what's going on with my cycle as mc'd ten days ago but started OPKs a couple of days back - still negative so far but there will be no escape, I WILL FIND OUT when anything pops out!

Good luck everyone :)

Tamashii · 14/12/2010 20:19

Wow this is an extremely busy bus!!!

I'm trying hard not to symptom spot until Friday at least.... Although I do feel nauseous but I realised from past BFN months that I too seem to get a bundle of "early PG" symptoms with OV and just before AF so I am REALLY really trying to ignore them just now.

AF due 21st so at least I should know whether to be avoiding the booze or getting absolutely blotto on Xmas Day Wink ...

Anyone else testing just now? Fingers well and truly crossed for everyone... Make this a lucky bus pls Xmas Smile

MrsHende · 14/12/2010 21:24

Hi Tamashii, I'm testing tomorrow morning. Tested on Sunday and got a BFN but AF was due last Thurs and still nothing. Good luck for your test!

Waterplate, you are SO normal and not at all mean! A new PG announced at work a couple of weeks ago really pushed my acting skills to the limit, fortunately a kind friend who knows we're TTC got me out of the conversation as soon as she could. Good luck to you too! :)
