hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

Hey EnglishCountryGirl you sound in the same boat as me (just one day ahead). I've done cheapy tests yesterday and today and nothing. Also been feeling sick but wonder whether that's because I'm nervous about it all! Also, noticed that my skin hasn't got spotty as it would normally do about a week before AF, and obviously convinced myself that's a sign :)

MrsHende · 15/01/2011 12:32

There are just a few of us left here now...fingers crossed the last week or so of the bus is a good one.

Hey English and Monkey, I think we're all around the same stage. I did a test yesterday too but a BFN. I'm finding it hard to know when to test, my cycle seems to vary from 25-33 days with a huge 39 day one last time.

I got my blood test results back yesterday, all normal :). I'm so pleased that it's all ok...but then does leave me with no explanation about why we're on cycle 10 with no BFP.

DH is trying to get an appointment with his GP now to get his tests done. He has some health problems so I really hope that his results are fine as if he felt it was his problem I think it would be a real kick in the teeth psychologically for him. He already feels like he is a burden (he's not) and this would be another thing to add to his list of ways he feels he's a crappy husband (he's not!).

It all got a bit much on Wednesday and I had a bit of a meltdown. I thought my period was starting and it tipped me over the edge. I thought I was coping really well but then realised that I'm not at all...weeping and wailing!! Poor old DH didn't know what to do!

Then on Thursday we had TWO colleagues visit with their new babies and loads of other generally rubbish stuff happening at work. Thanks goodness I had a girls night planned - they didn't know what had hit them when we sat down for dinner and asked how I was! Felt a lot better after a rant though.

Any suggestions on how to stay away from the emotional rollercoaster of testing?!

TweedPig · 15/01/2011 16:21

I jumped on the bus a week or so ago but don't think I ever made it onto the official list (and don't know how to add myself Blush).

Anyhoo, after a week of increasing nausea I finally decided to POAS a day early after standing wretching and heaving in the kitchen when trying feed the dog (TMI sorry). Couldn't bear to feed the dog when pregnant with DS so decided that was the final straw, and yup, BFP!

I'd also noticed that DS (14months) has been clingier than a clingy cling-on for the past week and wondered if he had picked up on a future rival for mummy's affection?! Been quite happy to sit for hours on my lap stroking my stomach, when he's usually off creating mayhem. Any other overactive sympton-spotters had this??

Good luck to those still waiting - fingers crossed!

Teds77 · 16/01/2011 12:17

Congrats Tweedpig.

AF arrived like clockwork this morning so I'm off the bus. Hope there are a few more BFPs before this bus reaches the depot!

EnglishCountryGirl · 16/01/2011 13:21

Sorry to hear you are leaving our bus Teds77, but good luck on the October bus - I might be joining you soon, so save me a seat! And glad to hear your blood test was normal MrsHende.

I've also had increasing nausea, but still BFN, so I think you must be right Monkey that it's just nerves. How are you getting on? Are you still getting BFNs?

Going to try to take it less seriously next month - no more testing/temping every day, just for the few days in the middle - but we will see if I manage to stick to my resolution!

ravenlocks · 16/01/2011 13:30

Hi everyone!

Sorry to see you go Teds, hope the back pain got better. Did you decide to go to the GP? Good luck with that and see you on Oct bus very probably!

I am still hanging in there for Sept with my fingernails.

I'm off ladies.

AF arrived yesterday. Absolutely gutted.

Lots and lots of luck to the rest of you, I dearly hope to see none of you on the October bus.

darlingred · 16/01/2011 17:33

Hi Everyone, can i join the september bus?

I have been lurking on MN since Aug. My DH and I decided to start trying to conceive then after nearly ten years of marriage, tested yesterday and got a BFP.

I didn,t believe previous threads when people say they are shocked they have finally got a BFP but it's true. That's how I feel just now.

monkeyblonde · 16/01/2011 18:59

Hey English yep, BFNs all round still - keep telling myself that it's too early. Let's hope so!

Last week I praised myself for how laid-back I was being this month, now look at me.

ravenlocks · 16/01/2011 19:51

Sorry MrsH, hope you feel better and have more luck next cycle.

Congrats darlingred!

monkey let's hope too early - very possible if AF not due til Weds.

Sorry to hear the bad news MrsH and gimmegimmegimme - Hope you have better luck on the Oct bus. I may well see you there soon!

ravenlocks - How are you getting on? Have you tested yet?

Not many of us left on the bus now!

EnglishCountryGirl · 16/01/2011 23:08

Monkey - Yes, fingers crossed that it's still too early. Still a couple of days to go, so still time...

TheCake · 16/01/2011 23:21

Just got back from Paris and my AF arrived on my birthday! (yesterday). At least 34 days is more of a normal cycle than 45! Will prob hop over to the oct bus in the next few days but just lurking at the bus stop at the moment. Goodnight all x

dietcokes · 17/01/2011 00:02

Just to say I'm still around but being a naughty girl and testing early.

EnglishCountryGirl · 17/01/2011 07:19

Temp dropped this morning, so expecting AF today or tomorrow. As such, going to drop off this bus and join the Oct bus, but will hang around to see how everyone who is left gets on!

Wombat33 · 17/01/2011 10:31

Morning all. Sorry to hear that AF has arrived for some of you over the weekend but congrats to the new BFPs!

Daisybell1 · 17/01/2011 15:14

Hi there Wombat

How are you feeling today? FX for (?)tomorrow

Wombat33 · 17/01/2011 15:54

Thanks Daisy. I'm feeling slightly more sane than I was (a weekend of TLC from DH works wonders!) but still trying not to get my hopes up too much for tomorrow/Weds. If I concentrate really really hard I think maybe I might be able to muster a bit of queasiness after I've eaten and my boobs are slightly sore (though still flat as pancakes!) but I can't help thinking that after a week of nothing and at 6 wks pg now I should be feeling more. We'll see. I'm hoping beyond hope to be proved wrong in my fears!!

How are you feeling today?

Daisybell1 · 17/01/2011 16:35

Wombat will be thinking of you tomorrow, its so difficult/impossible not to worry, isn't it?

Thinking about symptoms or the lack of them, (and I really don't know what I'm talking about here!) but maybe because we test so early when we're TTC we expect to have symptoms straight away?

If we weren't trying/charting etc etc, we may only be thinking now "ooh, I'm really late", rather than having known about being PG for what feels like years, when its only 10 days in my case, and then thinking about all the symptoms we're having. Does this make sense?

I'm certainly not symptom-riddled either - tired in the evenings (but that's easily explained by knackeredness), occasionally queasy, and a bit grumpy (also explained by having to put up with an evening of Young Farmers poo and sick jokes - nice!)

Does this make any sense at all????? Confused

Wombat33 · 17/01/2011 16:49

Daisy it makes perfect sense and I'm hoping you're right! I'll have known I'm pg for 3 weeks on Thursday yet I'm actually only just 6 weeks today. Here's hoping it all kicks in soon!

YF jokes sound lovely Hmm

Daisybell1 · 17/01/2011 16:52

And I hope you're feeling very green and queasy soon too Grin

Yes, the Young Farmers was an interesting experience - I wouldn't have been wanting to be feeling green and queasy at the time!

ravenlocks · 17/01/2011 17:41

Not tested yet English, plan on doing that tomorrow if AF hasn't arrived by then. Changed my AF due date (to tomorrow) at FF's insistance on when I ovd. I am not 100% convinced when I ovulated but then I did get some good advice on the charters' thread which did lead me to believe FF a bit more.

I have no symptoms and can't imagine it is my month this month.

Bumpsadaisie · 17/01/2011 20:33

Wombat

FWIW I had horrendous morning sickness with DD until 15 weeks - but even in my case (at the extreme end of the symptom spectrum) it had only just started to kick in at 6 weeks. I was still at work and just starting to feel bad ...

I think its common to feel nothing at all at your stage.

Wombat33 · 18/01/2011 10:07

Thanks Bumps! I get my blood test results back hopefully this afternoon (possibly not until tomorrow) so we will see. Though my doc has only done one blood test, not two a couple of days apart, so quite how much reassurance I'm going to get from one result I don't know. Apparently when he sees the result of this one he may order a second test - but that would be nearly a week later... by my calculations i'm now actually 6 weeks (as opposed to 6 wks by LMP) and actually, I'm feeling like my sypmtoms might be returning... really hope it's not my body playing cruel tricks on me!! Time will tell.

Good morning to everyone else out there this morning!
