hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

karbea, i know what you mean about the denial! Its all very new. On symptoms I have had some strange twinges that haven't felt like period pains, boobs bigger but not sore at all, and vivid dreams, i also feel different but its prob just having all this suddenly going on iykwim. The most noticeable being the boobs. They just seem different to normal. I think the testing is kind of fun for now but greedychops is right (Congrats By the way!!) you get the same result in the end and save money if you don't go mad testing!
there are some really interesting threads about symptoms they vary massively even from one pregnancy to another apparently! The best I read was how their pets act differently around them all of a sudden....very funny : )

Teds77 · 10/01/2011 14:56

Belated congratulations to GetDown - that's lovely news Grin

Also congrats to Daisybell. And Wombat glad you felt confident enought to 'graduate'. Have fingers crossed for both you and GetDown having sticky beans this time and *Daisybell, do hope your pain subsides soon.

And sorry to those that have had the dreaded visit from AF.

No news here... Just another week to go...Bum.

Wombat33 · 10/01/2011 15:05

Daisy I just rechecked my sent items and the message seems to have disappeared - it's not your PC it's mine! Am very Angry because I wrote you a lovely long message but in brief it said please try not to worry (but we all do!!). Will try and respond again later but v busy day at work and have to leave early because I have my initial 'I'm pg'' appointment with the GP.

tomatoplantproject · 10/01/2011 17:20

Congrats Greedy! Lovely news.

Bumps - I normally have a 24 day cycle and was due on Friday, not quite sure when I ovulated though. I thought AF had come earlier today - had cramps that were like period pains and a bit of spotting but not full on period either. Am now completely confused by the whole thing and would quite like to know one way or the other.

ravenlocks · 10/01/2011 18:47

Hi everyone.

So sorry we have lost some more ladies to ERTD. Good luck for an October little one! Updated the list.

I am now officially in the 2WW, long cycle for me this month (yawn!). I chart and the booze over Christmas and my nice long ly-ins over the Xmas holidays have messed with my temperatures somewhat. Pretty certain I ovulated on CD18, but could have been earlier, so updated to say AF due on 20 Jan. Looks like I will be one of the last ones standing on this bus (again!)

There seems to be our fair share of BFPs on this bus let's hope there's room for a few more:)
For the girlies who have theirs and are still about, did you feel any different this month? I ovulated last Weds 5th, dtd as required but feel no different to normal yet (I think, can't really remember normal anymore!)

Karbea · 10/01/2011 18:55

I was thinking about the bfps on the train home, averagely isn't it 20% of people trying per cycle? If so, do these buses normally have 20% success rate?

I went and tried a wedding dress on this afternoon (oh and I are getting married in may) and the lady said the shop was very fertile lots of girls get married and have to have them altered from her shop haha!

louby86 · 10/01/2011 19:52

Sorry a BFN for me, I'm off to get on the October bus now!

Karbea · 10/01/2011 19:54

OH is bringing a test home haha!!

Daisybell1 · 10/01/2011 20:04

Hi there wombat hope your appt went ok. Thank you for your kind thoughts in your message.

Am surviving so far, ironically now the pains are subsiding, I'm panicking I'm not getting enough symptoms. ARGH!

xxx

greedychops · 10/01/2011 20:25

MonkeyBlonde - I definitely felt different, but then I was also willing to believe that I had just been feeling a bit I'll if it wasn't a bfp. The main thing was cramping after ov, little bit light headed once or twice and then the one that convinced me was the pelvic pain at night cause of the experience of spd with ds2.

But I know there are plenty of people who have no symptoms till later (or not at all like a friend of mine).

greedychops · 10/01/2011 20:26

ill not I'll

dualta · 10/01/2011 21:02

karbea good luck with the test! Keep us posted!!

MrsHende · 10/01/2011 21:15

So pleased about all the BFPs!

And fingers crossed that all those headed to the October bus have lots of luck there.

I'm now on the 2WW and going demented! I'm prodding my boos at any opportunity to check if they are sore, imagining cramping type pains, trying to decide if a sore throat is a symptom...or hiccups????!! Wink

I'm tired but then again I'm usually tired.

To be honest, I don't think I'm feeling any different to any other month but so want to. Maybe I'll be one of those symptom-less people?! :)

Anyway, enough moaning! Off to distracted myself with some baking - banana pecan cookies anyone?

MrsHende · 10/01/2011 21:16

boos? boobs! Blush

pinkapples · 11/01/2011 06:39

Hey ladies, think I am heading for the October bus phoned the consultant yesterday and he said after 5 days late with a neg test I'm probably not pregna t and so he said to start on my next cycle... Thanks for the ride will see some of you on the next bus congrats to those whose journey on the buses is over for now x x

tomatoplantproject · 11/01/2011 08:33

Hello all. AF has now got me good and proper. I'm giving myself a stern talking to about shamelessly symptom spotting. Hopefully the October bus will be a lucky one, and all the best to those still on the 2ww.

Teds77 · 11/01/2011 09:05

Sorry to hear that #pinkapples*.

I missed greedy's bfp - that's great news. We are starting to get quite fertile! Hope that holds true for the next week...

MrsHende feel in the same boat as you.. Have sore boobs.. Always have sore boobs.. Am tired.. Am always tired.. Conclusion = I must be one of those symptomless people! Grin

Teds77 · 11/01/2011 09:09

Sorry tomatoplant - keep a seat warm as I may be joining you in a few days.

TheCake · 11/01/2011 09:25

Congratulations greedychops! Not sure if I'm in the same situation as pinkapples I tested negative yesterday but AF still not here. Just think my cycle ia not sorted yet after coming off the pill.

queenrollo · 11/01/2011 09:51

Well that's me off this bus. two days earlier than i anticipated but AF got me this morning. That was our last chance before heading to the GP so we need to make appt's now to get checked and see if there is a reason it's not happening. Have had tears this morning Sad

Good luck to those of you still waiting to find out.

Oh queenrollo am so sorry to hear that Sad

Just seen your other post and do hope you get some good advice from MNers.

ShoopShoop · 11/01/2011 10:42

Hello Ladies - I haven't posted for a while but I have been lurking. Big congrats for all the BFP's!! I'm now officially off this bus due to AF arriving this morning....boo hiss :(

Hopefully this signals the start of normal cycles for me after coming off Cerazette in November. Good luck to all of those still on this bus!! xxx

Wombat33 · 11/01/2011 11:15

Sorry to AF arriving/October departure, but good luck on the October bus. Esp hugs for Queenrollo I hope your GP manages to wave a magic wand for you (or prescribe clomid or similar) and you get your BFP very soon x

Who was it who asked about feeling different? I haven't really felt much different at all - certainly not for a good week after I got my BFP (at 3+5). I'm now 5+3 and my symptoms have been minimal (other than no AF and positive HPT of course!):

  • very faint nausea after a really large meal
  • moments of tiredness (but that seems to have faded since I've been making myself go to bed really early each night for the last week!)
  • insomnia and really strange dreams around AF due date
  • abdominal pains around AF due date, but fading now
  • diarrhoea every morning from about the time AF was due
  • slightly sore boobs, but it comes and goes and really only started from about 5 wks.

Hope that helps!

Daisy glad the pains are receding, try not to worry. What time's your scan today? How far along are you now? Just in case the GP or EPU hasn't warned you, there may not yet be much to see on the scan if you're still very early.

My appointment went okay. Doc gave me a EDD of 14 September Grin He's also testing me for a UTI Hmm which seems to be his default test when he has no idea what to do with someone (he tested me for a UTI three times when I went to him with pain after my MC). On a positive note, he's going to try and get me booked in for an 8 wk scan because of my previous MC and genetics issues. Now I just have to keep everything crossed that I get that far!!
