hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

Daisy Whoo hoo!!! Congratulations!!!! Grin Grin!!!

Dualta hopefully yours was just a bit too early. Good luck for the next one!

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 15:45

Thank you all. Am still Shock but am also now Confused as I'm having period pains/cramps.

Am Sad in case its all over before its begun.

Can I carry on hanging round with you lovely people for a while?

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 15:51

Daisy Is this your first pg?? I strongly suspect they are not period-related pains but implantation/new pg related. 'Tis normal! I and my two RL friends who are also newly pg are also struggling with them (and beware - they may get more achey if you feel worried/excited as everything is suddenly more sensitive down there). More likely nothing to worry about unless the pain gets really severe or you start to bleed heavily. Keep smiling :)

Daisybell1 · 07/01/2011 15:53

Vegas - am I sure I will be in the same boat too. Felt so pregnant and even DH asked me - are you pregnant, you look like you are!

What AF is doing I don't know - if nothing by Monday, will test again!

TheCake · 07/01/2011 18:21

Congratulations Daisy!

Well I caved in and tested to - an unsurprising BFN- apart from the fact it's a bit early to test, it's my first month and I don't know my cycle yet after being on the pill for so long. At least if it does turn out to be BFN I can get sloshed next weekend when I'm in Paris for my birthday!!!

Good luck for the next bus Vegas I'm sure I'll be seeing you there soon x

TwoJackRussellsdefrosting · 07/01/2011 18:30

Hey all

hope you had a good day, still having pressure in my groin, so am just waiting till mid week till I can test, lets hope it's good news!!!

So sorry that AF got you vegas, hopefully next month will be your month :)

Congrats daisy :)

Congratulations daisy. That's great news.

Sorry to hear about af Vegas but hope you get a bfp very soon.

Have been testing again today but still bfn. No af either though so still not out yet. The main thing making me think I'm pg is pain in the pelvis area at night, as if something isn't quite sitting right. Had SPD with ds2 and it feels a little similar

If I am not pg, it's definitely my mind playing very bad tricks on me.

Good luck to the rest of you testing. How many ave a clear blue digital? Do you use it more than once?

TweedPig · 07/01/2011 21:05

Hello, can I hop on?
Think this is the bus for me...
First month ttc no2 but haven't really been keeping track of cycles.
Was quite laid back about the whole thing until the nausea kicked in yesterday!
Think AF is due on the 16th. Too early for symptoms surely??

Sunshine28 · 07/01/2011 21:50

Hi girls, I would like to hop on too! First month ttc after a tfmr in October. Very nervous and excited all at the same time. AF is due around 14th Jan. Think I have already tested 3 times despite being wayyyy too early!

TweedPig - everyone's different and each prenancy is different, so you never know, your nausea may well be a symptom. Good luck to you all over the next few days of waiting. I can't stand it! :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 08/01/2011 07:17

Hi ladies sorry I've been a bit quiet on this thread, have mainly been hanging around on the Charter's thread.

Just wanted to pop on to tell you I got a BFP this morning!! So excited and so scared!! (Last one ended in MC). Really hoping this one is for keeps!

For all those ladies in the 2ww, just to encourage you, I had NO symptoms whatsoever (no sore boobs, sickness or anything) and was convinced it would be a negative. But there you go! You don't necessarily have symptoms this early!

Good luck everyone!

Wombat, are you ready to go on the graduates list?

Daisybell1 · 08/01/2011 07:56

Morning, sorry to hear AF got you Vegas, I was convinced this was your month Sad

Am not quite sure if I'm quite ready for the graduates list yet - did another test this morning with FMU but was hoping the line would be darker..... Here's hoping I'm over analysing this!

Good luck to everyone else

queenrollo · 08/01/2011 10:03

fingers crossed for you getdown really pleased to read your news Smile

Well i'm not convinced it's my month. again.
My boobs have started hurting and my cervix is doing what it usually does the week before AF shows up. This really is our last chance before throwing ourselves at the mercy of the medical profession. Not much sleep was had last night and I lay awake in bed absolutely convinced that this is it for me, and i'm destined to be a mummy to one.
I'm really very down about this Sad

I'm not even a tiny bit hopeful that next week will bring me a BFP instead of AF.

MrsHende · 08/01/2011 11:13

Oh no queen rollo, I really hope that your feelings are wrong.

I'm also on cycle 10, AF not due till 19th Jan. I was at the doc for something else on Wednesday and she asked how the TTC was going and we decided to just get started with investigations.

So, I had a gallon of blood taken yesterday, and have had a chlamydia test done too. DH has to see his GP to get tests done on him too.

I can call at the end of next week to see what the results are.

If it gives you any hope queen rollo (and it did a wee bit for me) my doctor said that she very often starts the process with all these tests and the next month the woman is pregnant. And I'm sure you know that 19/20 couples conceive once they've been trying for two years. (I know, I know...it's a crappy statistic - who wants to wait TWO YEARS!!)

When I asked her how long the waiting list is for the infertility clinic was she said it varies on the couple and that we wouldn't be a high priority as we haven't been trying for two years and that I'm 34 - women who are 37/38+ have a priority. However, I am old enough that she didn't make us wait for a year of trying before she started the process.

Sorry for the over long post!

tomatoplantproject · 08/01/2011 12:05

Good luck those in the 2ww and congrats to the bfps! So... AF is late and apart from sore boobs have had no preg symptoms. I tested on thurs because I have the patience of a small wriggly wombat but bfn. Argh! Will be testing again in a couple of days if no AF - if I can wait that long!

Wombat33 · 08/01/2011 12:29

Yey GetDown!! Congratulations!!

Queen rollo I'm hoping for you x

Daisy it's very early days so don't worry if you can't see the lines getting darker just yet. Remember it's supposed to take 48-72 hrs for the HcG to double at this stage and every test (even the same brand) has slight variation so you really can't compare them very easily day to day (compare one this time next week with this morning's and you'll see a difference then!). Take it from me - I've peed on so many sticks Grin Grin Grin

I'm being brave and putting myself on the grads list. I'm now properly late for AF and the CB Digi said Pregnant 3+ this morning. Still terrified something will go wrong again but I'm trying to resolve to enjoy it for the moment and be hopeful!

queenrollo · 08/01/2011 12:30

mrshende thanks for the reassuring post.

This is ttc#2 for me but with a new partner and of course he's now becoming convinced that the problem is with him Sad
I'm 35 so probably not in priority group for fertility treatment. Also don't know whether personal circumstance is taken into account? I mean income wise as DP is on a high salary.

I'm on cycle 10 but it's been over a year, as my cycles were all over the place. With my herbal treatment i'm now on a regular cycle Smile though i appear to have a very long luteal phase. I'm definitely ov'ing nearly three weeks before AF arrives. Don't know if this will make a difference or not?

oh well.....i will find out either way next week and then DP and I will head to the GP to start having bloods etc done

tomato fingers crossed for you

queenrollo · 08/01/2011 12:38

ah....just been reading about long luteal phase. and it does cause problems Sad but if it is the problem then hopefully we can do something about it.....

Bumpsadaisie · 08/01/2011 15:24

tomato

Think we are in same boat? AF late (due weds) but a bfn on Friday here! No sign of AF and I just feel v peculiar.

greedychops · 08/01/2011 16:02

Me too bumsadaisie. Thought I would have a bfp by now if I was going to get one, but then af hasn't come either. Very confusing,

What type of tests are you using? I have tesco cheapy ones and am wondering if they are a lot less sensitive than more expensive tests?

Bumpsadaisie · 08/01/2011 17:10

Tricky isn't it - test I did yesterday was FMU with clearblue digital so pretty sensitive. Am now 4 days plus overdue - though perhaps only 14 Dpo, my suspicions are that something did happen but it wasn't viable and I'll just get a delayed period.

MrsHende · 08/01/2011 20:40

My last cycle was an unusually long one but with no positive outcome. When I was at the docs this week we were looking at my cycle lengths and she said she thought that maybe hadn't ovulated last month. She said that most women don't ovulate every month and that would cause a longer cycle.

I don't know if that helps or not but if your BFNs turn out to be final then that may be it. Doesn't make it any less disappointing, just frustrating that we can be trying our hardest but our bodies are not co-operating!

FX though you are going to get BFPs all round in the next couple of days! :)

drdolly · 08/01/2011 20:46

been lurking here, but i had to come back and say congrats, getdown. you were so kind to me on the august bus. i am so delighted for you.

good luck to everyone else of course!
